could it be that the stealthy lambo was not seen at all by the small car( well due to lack of concentration mainly, and the lambo blending into the background somewhat compared to something really bright. Can happen with darker cars.

not making judgement about who was right or wrong – i was however impressed by the lambo drivers ability to avoid further contact / damage.

Love them. All of them. Some were fast. Some were slow. Never driven one but seen plenty and have been a passenger in one of the former variety.
You could say they are big ugly steel lumps of hideous excess, or you could say they are just simply beautiful.
Interestingly some have been reborn in the form of modern variants.

no experience but i’d look at plastikote rattle cans. bit of prepping around the wheel edge – maybe a can of paint per side, the badge – done – 😀

I had loads of PPI calls – if it’s a person- ask them loads of random questions about anything. They get the picture. Always worth asking where they are based and what the weather is like there etc..

polished and laquered steel ( if it can be done),or gold ( hammerite maybe around the edge??) or silver painted rims, both with the black hub caps would equally look good i recon.

i like it like that. Painting the steel rims a colour and leaving the hub caps black would look cool i recon. You’d get a sliver of colour around the tyres. Seriously i’d probably go for something like neon pink (maybe)or neon orange and spray the vw badge at the front the same.But thats my taste.

you can always look at a haynes manual and give the car a look over yourself on some of the easier MOT points.libraries sometimes have a variety of haynes manuals.

maybe get an old tatty spares or repairs set of dmrs off ebay

out of interest where did you refill?

Firstly might be worth checking for any obvious issues / broken leads frayed cables, split wire insulations, oily connections / etc.

it may i guess be the ecu relay located under the ECU ( little control box clipped in )

Use / buy and apply thermal paste too.

Likely to be the ignition module on it’s way out. That’s what I’d be looking at on this engine. Trust me everything adds up. Mileages, going at higher constant or building revs at first a little then more then on and off at all revs, that engine, Cheap and easy to fit another yourself( breakers / recyclers maybe , ebay or eurocarparts / GSF etc) IMHO. Then see what it’s like. If it still does it then look at other causes.
