can you really get high end BMW’s / Audi’s for that sort of budget? 😯

remember the budget though..Mind you there’s a lot I guess to be said for a bit of power, luxury and refinement.. something french cars probably lack

i don’t understand why image is so important when buying a car… surely it’s about other more important factors such as performance, engineering concepts or handling or price, or just fun. This is why lots of people buy cars they just don’t understand ..it’s all about the image they’re project..until they have to explain if it’s front wheel drive or rear wheel drive.. or buy new tyres lol.

    sorry back from OT

    Honest opinion…

Get a well looked after Saxo VTS. Faster than any golf gti in std form, some well looked after ones around. Last time I looked quite a few for sale, probably because of the recession and insurance for the mainly younger drivers.Really practical and look quite discrete when standard. They handle brilliantly in the corners are a blast to drive and as I said really quick. 0-60 7.5 secs IIRC probably top end speed of 120 i guess. On twisty B roads they’d be faster than any Saab, or even a super car tbh. Think they’re an insurance group 13 or 14 though should that be an issue. Also although newish they’re be a classic at some stage just like 205 gtis are.

Or I’d go for a classic Saab

Generally you cannot beat tap water although much of this depends if the water is hard or soft. Adding orange / fruit juice ( pure or concentrated ) makes water taste more interesting – IMHO. Milk is also very good and can be a bit cheaper than bottled water if you are out and about. Also fills you up if you’re hungry and all that’s on offer is fast food -as seems so common in many places( ie milk has healthy nutritional value )

a black Kuwahara frame ( well the cheapo version of the E.T. edition) with red rims, crank, a red elina saddle with integrated post (no clamp), red AME grips, White Aero padset and graphite X flat pedals. Used to have some funky black and white gear cable covers too. Had a red SR stem and I loved it 🙂 Sold it to get an ATB. Wish I hadn’t. I put landing gear stickers on the forks and a JT racing sticker on my Full Facer 😀

Friends at the time had Aero Burners, Burners, a Saxon, DP firebird and one of my all time faves – Diamond Back Silver Streaks.

This is a great book for those who love bmx.

    rad rides

also for those that drive – how much is a permit now for riding and parking and for how long?

hoses can be swapped easily without a bleeding. Just undo the fixing at the lever end and pull the hose whilst keeping the levers vertical to prevent spilling the fluid. Then just push the hoses back in and re-tighten. No need for olives unless you are adding new hoses. Same probably at the caliper end although one of mine wouldn’t pull out.

anyone know if Hope standard hoses and Superstar olives would work on these. Front hose is too short on mine. BTW you can easily swap the hoses over by just undoing the fittings at the brake lever end.

Shimano hose measures as 5.2mm external diameter. Hope is stated as 5mm.

Not sure of the internal diameters.

    Thank you CRC.

I had headaches after a day of riding and found adding some salt to a post ride drink has worked. Also in the winter I try to change my top to something dry and wear a beanie on the drive home.

Could also may be helmet’s too tight.

    Hope this helps.
