I'd like to see a cross between Sim City and Civ. So you build a city, then its success gives you your power base from which to conquer the world I'd also like to add Geography to the mix, so you can occupy stragetic locations. Now that, I'd play.

    bit like settlers then?
    used to love that game

I would just buy the bike you think looks prettiest and is a nice colour and then only ride the appropriate terrian for that bike

look on sram site for instructions on bleeding Avid's
Same process and I found them far easier to follow and better written than the formula instructions

    – be careful when removing grub screw from bleed port on caliper – there is a tiny o ring that will prob get washed out with leaky fluid – it is a pig to replace if lost

    – bleed screw on lever is also in a pig of a place, easier to remove lever from bars to get lever orientated vertically

other than that its quite straightforward

09 Meta 5/6's tended to crack at seat tube / top tube weld
08/09 Meta 5/6's also cracked around shock mountings
09 Super 4's have suffered cracked chainstays

Not heard of that many problems on the Mini DH's
(some Furious's seem to have had bad alignment and issues with piggy back shocks hitting the frame)

2010 stuff seems much better, far superior build quality from what Ive seen (I have an 08 Meta and an 09 Titanium Commie HT and a large bunch of us over at the commie owners club ride together so Ive seen and heard many stories and experiences of cracks and replacements)

2009 models that break now being replaced by 2010 frames generally
Warranty procedure through Madison now seems much smoother (send photos of cracked frame, serial number etc, no need to ssend of damaged frame for inspection) turnaround can be low as couple of weeks but some shops (mainly larger chains) still seem to be messing people around and insisting on returning the frames and delaying things

Plenty of info and threads with peoples experiences on http://www.commencalownersclub.com
post up there and you will get no end of advise from other owners

You might like to wait for the new 2011 Supreme 8 though – due in country later this year, looks mint

yes did it, seemed stiffer and a reasonable improvement on the one ride before I bent the wheel and went back to an old wheel with standard QR

No complaints over the Superstar 9mm axle, does the job, easy to crank tight and reasonable weight for a through axle
Compared to cost of new lowers to upgrade to QR15 its a no brainer really

I could think of a 1000 people I would rather listen to than Zane 'I have a monotone voice' Lowe and Jo 'I also have a Monotone Voice' Whiley!

I hope Edith 'I swallowed that bag of spanners that hit me in the face' Bowman isnt among that 1000?
Rather have anyone than her or Ferne 'f*cking gets everywhere' Cotton
    Lauren laverne isnt much better.
    Bring back Mark n' Lard

Thought Muse where awesome, tried to get into them a few times but find the albums good but not great. last one really disapointed, definately one of those bands that are better live

    On The Line
    in two parts here –
    http://www.goldsteinproductions.ca/videos.php

may still stream slow, I played it for 10 seconds then paused it for 10 mins while it all did its thing and then watched no probs in one go
about 20 mins long in total, awesome, reckon its better than Follow Me
The train gap jump section is worth perservering for on its own
and the 5 year old kid is a pretty decent rider and a cocky little character ("Why are you so good for someone so young?", "Just because", "You ever crash", "Yeah sometimes, but just like you do")

just to reitterate my earlier post – I only use that bike for commuting, I would dream of risking it offroad (like samari's photo)
The stem i am now using it with is also a 4 bolt faceplate so (hopefully) the load is spread a bit better

been running road bars like that on my old mtb that i use for commuting for 6 months now, only sees road and cyclepath work, no offroad but 10 miles a day, 4 days a week. No issues whatsoever
have used an Easton EA70 and a RF Deus stem during that time

leave them on, no point messing round with time consuming bolts
get the angle grinder out, no point messing around with time consuming hacksaws and files

Some good deals around on replacement forks, stems and frames at the mo when it all goes wrong

Potentially means Germany, Argentina Spain and Brazil in the final will deserve it if we scrape through that!

    or germany, mexico, chili, paraguay
or any of about 10 other different combinations
why try and guess results, there has already been some strange upsets, that prove anything can happen

    Although it will be –
    Germany – Jo'Berg airport – Virgin flight home – heathrow – cheshire/surrey mansions

in future you can set settings to block bidders with zero feedback

I thought this, but when i checked my settings it is only bidders with -1 feedback?

Officially yes its -1 but you can write in item details that you will not accept bids from people with say less than 5 feedbacks, or less than 75% without first contacting you
You can cancel any bids before auction end if you are not happy
    Ive done this before
lesson is watch your listing progress more carefully and dont list things to end at 4am! (you prob would have got a better price for it had it ended erly evening or on a Sunday, when most people are online)

5M would build great trails where people actually are, to reduce traffic and carbon footprint.

yeah can just imagine it now, a beautiful ribbon of bench cut singletrack snaking though the centre of Westfield shopping centre, some rollers over the perfume counter of Debenhams, slab features made of gravestones in the local churchyard and B&Q corner – a nice northshore section

I can take or leave trail centres, they have a purpose and they enable me to ride when my local natural trails are waterlogged or just need a break to recover from the british weather, but the last thing I would want to do is ride where the population is – thats exactly why I bike, to get away from all that

People dont tend to live where the land is contoured for great riding, the two generally dont go together

speaking of entrapement – another ocasion on M1 the outside lane was rammed as usual and middle lane empty. I pulled back into middle lane as I was coming off at next junction in half mile as I was about to pull over to inside lane to exit an unmarked police car swerved out of outside lane infront of me with police stop sign illuminated
I followed them onto slip road and he asked me what I was playing at. He didnt believe me when I said I was preparing to exit the motorway, reckoned I was going to cut back over to outside lane and was attempting an undertake him to save time
His face when I pointed to our office right next to the motorway and showed him my company ID badge and said – Im off to work just there was priceless "Well dont try it again" before speeding off, straight out without looking at the roundabout!!
Try what again? Going to work?!

And took great delight (and very immature behaviour) on the M6 going north on the fast part past the lakes of driving right up the arse of middle lane hoggers flashing like mad before sweeping past them at 20mph + what they were doing. Only to note that they still didn't pull in.

Probably very childish and poor driving on my part but put a smile on my face on a very long journey.

I saw someone do that on the same section of the M6 once (just before Penrith)
When the car took off after them at speed I thought it was just an angry driver and thought I would keep well back from them both but a mile down the road I saw them both on the hard shoulder with the cars rear window lit up like a christmas tree – turned out the car they did it to was an unmarked police car
Now that put a smile on my face on a very long journey

M1 round these parts has just (finally) opened as a 4 lane section
Went up from J25 to 28 on Saturday. despite it being almost completely empty most people where sat in lane 3 of 4
One person came on in front of me at 26 and went straight across to lane 4 at almost 90 degrees. I tootled along with cruise on at 70 in lane 2 (I had moved out pre-empting the junction) and went underneath him before getting back to lane 1. Maybe wrong I know but why should I move out 2 or 3 lanes to have to site behind him?
He then sat there in lane 4 with a queue of Audis, Mercs and Beemers getting frustrated behind him!

He left at J27, 3 miles further up the road, in the same fashion – cutting across all 4 empty lanes at the last second!
    F*ckin Idiot

Thing is when you drive proper and pull back in, when you then pull out to overtake the next car or lorry the guy behind thats sat there at similar speed to you will quite often make weaving gestures with his arms as though its you thats at fault!
