there is a door to an old monastry somewhere on a side street above the Forum
I will try and find exact details
Look through the keyhole and there is a fantastic view of the Vatican framed by the monestries gardens
Worth the short walk to see it, is something not many peole know about
Other than that what others have said, and enjoy the food and wine
Castell St Angelo is worth a couple of hours, Cistene Chapel, The Forum etc
We also went round all the churches in Dan Browns Angels and Demons book, it then also gives you a good idea of the place and an alternative way around rather than following a guide book
Not sure you can fill 7-10 days sightseeing just in Rome though

    have a 2009 one
only use it off the bike, way too hot for cycling in, too hot often when walking round shops or taking dog out! Its just a sweatbag
Nice casual styling though, is probably my main ‘off the bike’ coat
they must have changed it if Grupper’s has ventilation zips. Mine has none

wingnut 3l backpack at spokeshirts and race face pads at crc are about the only things interesting me
Noticed though how crc merlin and wiggle have all altered pricing structures though and nothing is really as cheap as it seems

sounds silly but check her job title the insurance company have
I changed mine (still reflecting what I do) and the premium dropped £40 just like that!
After searching internet and ringing my insurance company up twice I eventually saved £98 on the initial price they quoted me and the wife (we have Admiral multicar policy) and that was then just about the cheapest I could find anywhere

Really? How disappointing. I had this image of you having had a few whiskies, wearing a pointy wizard’s hat and wobbling up to some unfortunate lady saying “You can be my lovely assistant”.

my wife knows exactly what MY Ti hardtail is worth
Problem is she thinks its HERS

actually real problem was when I was away with work for a week and returned to find pink tassles and a bell had been attached to the handlebars

She does have a certain subtle way of warning me about my bike expenditure!

    depends on the branch
We got an MFI kitchen just before they went bust
We where lucky in that we had it delivered, unlucky as there was an end panel damaged and non of the iron on edging strip
It was originally supplied to MFI by Howdens, who also sold it direct (I was later told their cost price was more than the MFI selling price so probably no wonder they went bust)
I tried the Derby branch who refused to even give me a 1m offcut of edging strip for a cash sale, as yes, I was not trade and had no account. Our builder (kitchen was part of an extension) even went in but they wouldnt sell to him without an account, and he came away saying he wouldnt open an account as they where basically being complete (swear filter)’s

next week I went into a different branch who gave me the edging strip free and replaced the end panel for me, no questions asked

If you want the big 10+x zoom again then try a Ricoh CX3 or CX4?

I used to have the older model Capilio R7 and it was great, very well built and easy to use with good features, excellent battery life to
The CX3 throws in HD video and a basic tiltshift-esque feature etc

    Review here – http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2010/09/27/Ricoh-CX4/p1
i find that site very good for comprehensive camera reviews

Or there is still the Panasonic TZ7 or a TZ8 or TZ10 if you stick with what you know
    http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2010/06/18/Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-TZ8/p1

The Canon S95 DezB recommends is slightly more expensive but very good

TVersity programme on PC and PS3 connected optically to surround sound system (or HDMI though TV)
    Works great
If I didnt have that I would prob go for the cheapish Phillips thing mentioned above

    Kael,
Thanks but no worries, its not my bike
Brother in law is in process of buying it from a mate but it needs the Horst link bearing replacing, I was initially just wondering on sizes to advise him but I sorted it
Given BiL works for a supplier / contractor to a rather large aeroplane engine manufacturing company he has ample machinery and bearings available to him
I will however point him towards your ebay site if he needs anything

without wanting this thread, the original question of which is now sorted, to turn into another great STW bearings thread I’ll just state that I was very happy with the ones I replaced earlier this year (for free so thanks for that), they are still going strong and leave it at that

actually uplink I have some of his bearings in my Commencal meta
Still going strong after 6 months so no issues there (other than he used to be a bit of an arse with his bearing threads but he seems to have stopped all that now)

They kept my deposit after I had to cancel a booking several months in advance due to friends berevement
Said I could transfer it to another booking late in year, then a couple months later when I phoned up to do so, denied any knowledge and said not possible
Its not suprising in this economic climate, good customer service is whats needed most, treating people like mugs dosent go down well
We went elsewhere and had a great weekend, wouldnt consider Rosetta again after that experience so while its a shame people may lose their jobs due to management failings its no great loss to me frankly

had a Merlin built one on front of what is now my commuter bike for about 18 years
Only had to change hub bearings (Shimano) and give it a true on a couple of occasions
Ok for last 6 years its only seen light road use but before that it went everywhere and has outlasted V Brakes and seen various rigid and suspension forks come and go
Looks bling but these days can’t really see much point

They’re not called Trailquests any more. It’s BMBO or British Mountain Bike Orienteering, trips off the tongue doesn’t it?

then should MidlandTrailquestsGraham now be referred to as MidlandBMBOGraham or MidlandBritishMountainBikeOrienteeringGraham

or can we still call him OP or MTG? 👿
