Yep memory map on iPhone is great, but then I already had it along with all the uk maps on my PC so for a one off extra £20 just upload them as i need for instant offline mapping
I have 1:25k peak district and find it fine on the iPhone screen but generally 1:50k is ok
It has totally changed things for me now when walking or on bike I don’t need to take a paper map just the phone

Wasnt funny in the slightest, soon as he fell I instinctively looked away, having seen to many people die on racetracks both on tv and 10 foot in front of me I dint want to see someone die on live tv ever again
What they whereplaying at is beyond me absolute chaos although very difficult circumstances on a fast bend

Probably cycling across the golden gate bridge early one morning in 1997 knowing marin county was ahead of me, then on same ride coming out of trees (muirwoods) to see a beach and the ocean ahead and going over the bars into the surf then returning to san fransisco with the sunset having been out around 12 hours

I hope though that in the next two years those memories will be surpassed by images similar to SbZ’s pictures, awesome mate sums up what biking means to me now, passing the experiences on to my next generation (it’s already started when I turned round the other day and caught 1 year old Isabel giggling and clapping away in the trailer)

    Isn’t mountain biking the best

    Yeah good for the money
I use the wheel bags all the time to take into hotels when working away (frame locked on car boot), keep back of car clean or stand on when getting changed in car park etc

Muffin I think you missed the point
I’m like you, there was nothing new i could remember pretty much every race and name most pf the drivers seen in the briefings thought but it was a beautifully put together history and tribute to one Of the greatest drivers ever
And it revealed to me a far more human side to him, yes I knew he was deeply religious, I knew he could be very emotional I knew the level of support he had in brazil and I remember the picyures of his funeral possession but the film really wrapped all that up and presented it in a really good way I thought

Saw it in derby (quad) on Saturday afternoon
Excellent film the first race shown at Monaco was the first grand prix I can remember watching on tv as a kid
I honestly felt a cold chill all over during the crash footage, some not nice footage of ratzenburger too and seeing Martin donnellys crash again was chilling too
Not all bad though some really nice home movie footage, the Prost senna stuff is a bit overplayed but interesting
Made me think alot too, the political bollox is still the same in f1 as it was back then, same with the rule changes not always for the best and like that year we are this year seeing some big crashes following some fairly big rule changes
Oh and it also highlighted to me at least just how many
senna-isms there is to be seen these days in Vettell

I bent my front 355 on only it’s second ride, admittedly it was one of worst crashes I’ve had and wheel went side on to a tree trunk
The rear has lasted a year no problem
I need to rebuild it but would like to try and reuse some of the spokes (I have a load of spare too) which stand rim is it that has the same spoke length? (sorry for thread highjack)

    Echo what bri-72 said
Fitted my fender bender looked great put bike in car got bike out fender bender creased and looked naff
Neoguard is fit and forget fender needs straightening all the time, both work the same though so depends which you prefer the look of to be honest
To be honest though the fender bender is just an ice cream tub lid and the neoguard is just an old innertube so save your money and make your own, when either is covered in mud it won’t matter what it looks like
I now use the f-b on rear to protect the shock on my meta, a job it does superbly, with the neoguard on the front, but as I said make your own

    Shining cliff woods might work
    POSTED 56 MINUTES AGO #

    No it wouldn’t
Riding there is troublesome enough without people rigging cables around the really old and really quite protected trees within a SSSI
Sorry to sound like some sort of tree hugger but it’s sensitive enough up there all ready

Awesome vid and nice effort on rigging that up makes me want to ride it in the dry too, never realised it wasn’t a proper stream!
Next one how about the campsite descent into hayfield, or wharnecliffe?

It would almost be easier and cheaper for you to just give your bearings away for free Kael 😉

I hate ebay too – been looking for a FS frame recently, frikkin search results are full of bearing kits FFS.

Strider looks good but roadtracks link says it is suitable upto 5 yrs
Apart from wanting mine on a proper bike before that age I would at least want a brake on it
The islabikes (and ridgebacks I think) have a brake that cn be disconnected when they first start out do they not?
Plus they seem to hold value reasonably well when you come to sell it on
Cheapest I’ve seen the scoot £71

Scottidog is right I think but I think the vid is edited out of sequence and parts may also be the other bridleway decent from highgate that joins the same track past the campsite?
