That’s correct muddy but if someone comes down the slip t the correct speed to merge in then they shouldn’t have a problem , what gets me is people that drive down slip see a lorry coming up in lane 1 and totally fail to adjust their speed up or down to merge in front or behind the vehicle, then have to brake to an almost stop before giving you a mouthful because you where behind them and managed the situation to enter the motorway in the gap behind lorry, if they can’t judge the situation why should I then risk having to stop just to follow them onto the road
To OP slow driving causes frustration
    Frustration causes accidents
inappropriate driving causes accidents, be that too fast or too slow

    What coogan said
Hardly the end of the world is it, get over it life is full of so many more important things to worry about
It’s a bike Ride and it’s some food, be grateful you have both

Ride Peaks regular on both, some days I prefer hardtail, some days full suss
On the whole though I think the hardtail just sneaks it, I come home more forfilled, ride better and use and improve more skills. Hammering a straight line down rocky descents can be fun though
It’s Horses for courses, six and two threes, as broad as it’s long, 6 of one half dozen of the other innit

If it means I would have to ride THAT ‘mountain bike’ course I’m happy to be near the bottom of the list 😉

The other two don’t seem to have been listed yet, not found by searching in completed listings anyway
Perhaps he will list them in next week which will mean someone can agree a fee putside eBay get the address and pay a visit, probably without the police as sadly they wont be interested (similR happened to a lad at work who in the end went round with a policeman on the end of his phone!!)

Of you already have a few mm maps on your computer it’s worth it, if nor I wouldn’t bother as buying mps is expensive

Those pylons are awful, prime example of architects playing at being Engineers, they would be incrediably expensive to build, if not impossible, would never stand up to the loadings imposed and would be incredibly difficult to maintain as well as needing to be doubled up as single circuit outages on the one line would not be possible
And don’t get me started in that RIBA design a pylon competition! That doesn’t have one exeriemced engineer on the judging panel
No new designs will see light of day as a result of that, possibly some minor ideas may get cribed and incorporated into existing (revised) designs (access etc) but in the uk the traditional pylon is unlikely to change very much, that competition is just a very, very cheap way for ngt to get some new ideas and a means to try and pacify the public over the increase in windfarms etc

One with personal interest, designed and built by the company I work for, tallest electricity pylons in the world, the Yangtze river crossing in china (346.5m tall, 4192tonnes)

Or one I was personally involved withthe construction of, the tallest structure in the UK, the Skelton transmitter mast in Cumbria

    Check standover too
I tried a 54cm kona Jake and it was perfect in length but top tube was too high (due to higher bottom bracket)
    The 54cm trek x0-1 I eventually got fits perfectly (I’m 5’10”)
Guess what I’m saying is that it’s similar to mtb’s in that different manufacturers sizes may vary so best try before you buy if you can

“yeah pizza is alright but I don’t understand all the fuss, I’m happy with beans on toast”
Talking about the London eye – “it takes too long to get to the top and what for?” “Good if your studying geography I suppose” “yeah the view is quite good though”

I’ve used my little life one all over on my own, you put your foot in an opening at the bottom to stabilise it, but even without it will stand on it’s own if balanced right

Away w work again so can’t post pics at mo but –

The is a doorway on a backstreet in Rome behind the forum, I think it’s to a monastery, just a plain unassuming gate with a keyhole in, look though the keyhole and there is a perfectly aligned view of the Vatican beyond the monastery gardens framed With an archway of vines, truly a magnificent and secret view, I’ll post the pic on Thursday when I’m back

My second is a small iron doorway in Prague with loads of hands cast into (out of) it, one is the knocker, another the door handle and to open it you almost shake the hand, but which one?! (it’s opposite captain nemos underwater themed strip club)
Both architecture on a small scale but show excellent attention to detail

    So cancel your sub then
    Simple
Find an alternative bike mag that doesn’t repeat itself every week
    Maybe not so simple

At least ST repeats arnt just reprints of bike reviews

Black rocks is north of shining cliff, Cromford way
Shining cliff and most places I mentioned are a bit cheeky though, I would say SC only in summer as it can get thrashed in wet weather and is a SSSI with very old habitat
Was up there on friday trails looking good fair bit of work put in recently
Drum hill (just north of derby, linkable w shining cliff via The Chevin) also had a few full face helmets there the other weekend
I’ve pretty much given up on Cannock this year (riden both dog, monkey and ‘secret’ stuff there for years) as I’ve spent more time trying to explore the more local places, I’m really liking the stuff I mentioned above at mo for an evening blast as I can get an extra hours riding in rather thansitting inthe car driving
The ticknall routes still feature too although i prefer that on my cross bike now

Cademan woods and grace dieu area near Coalville, can link bits together with short quiet roads
Shining cliff at ambergate and drum hill north of derby as well as the whole Crich Matlock area, black rocks etc
They are my current local playgrounds, not massive but enough exploring for an hour or so
Also Churnet valley at Alton, and as someone mentioned Robin woods at ticknall
I’m derby always up for anything local, I’ve heard and seen hopwas but never been

    Xtr on hardtail
    X0 / X9 on full suss
I dont have a preference never had any problems with either and they both have plus and minus points
SRAM cassettes on price everytime though – how much is xtr compared to x0 (990)? and it comes in fancy colours
Kmc chains as well, oh and always a shimano front mech
Love to know where OP got his links from though, I’ve never paid more than 1.99 and that was at a trail centre shop in south Wales 😉

45 minutes to the peaks from Scunny? If he’s got his helicopter he might as well go all the way over to the lakes!

M180, M18 and straight around sheff ring road
Hit it right time on a morning and will get no traffic, would be an hour max
Against torturous single carriageway caravan clogged roads to Pickering via hull and York?
Know which one I’d be doing, lakes is 3-4x further so now your just being silly besides everyone knows peaks (the peak for locals) is better than lakes 😉
