    Eve

Pretty name, not pretentious, don’t hear it very often.

Could also pair it up with a nice middle name

I have noticed there are 2 types of bb7 available – road and mtb.

Is the difference just in the levers supplied or is it more than that?

Seems like i might have to start looking for a set of bb7’s then.

For those that mentioned them – Rim brakes are definitely out as my wheels don’t have a braking surface.

Thanks for the replies so far – all very helpful

I find it a bit rude that someone could think my whole belief system is so meaningless that it could be changed by knocking on my door.

By the way – my wife believes in god and goes to church regularly – i dont. She says i will find out one day – i say so will she.

Each to his or her own – if people want to believe the big book of fairy stories – that’s up to them. Just please don’t try to push it on me.

I had some tyres that i had the same problem with.

I found that the parts of the tyre that appear to be sitting lower hadn’t quite sat in the rim properly.
They were sitting a little low.

I just pumped the tyres up a little harder than i would normally and then ( with the wheel facing me) gently rolled that part of the tyre backwards ie: as if i was trying to push it off the rim – the tyre then gently popped onto the right part of the rim.

Never had any problem with it after that.

    Hope that helps.

Thats what i thought as there are no flats on the boss.

They don’t really have to come off – just think they look a bit unsightly

Watches are another interest of mine – especially vintage

I have a small collection of omegas along with a few other bits and bobs and would always recommend anybody looking for a watch to consider vintage.

    Some of mine

    1967 Omega Speedmaster 321

    1969 Omega Speedmaster MKII

1971 Omega Speedmaster MKII racing dial

My everyday watch is this Dugena Caribbean 200 – not sure of the date on this one but somewhere around the late sixties –

    Thanks for the replies.

Just been doing a bit of googling and came across another lava dome that the guy describes as 2005 with sliding dropouts..

Wonder if it is an import – certainly not many around

This is the pic i found on retrobike – frame seems exactly the same.

I used to own a cafe which i sold in 1998 – we had 3 dualits

I liberated one of the dualit toasters when i sold up and it is still in our kitchen today. Its probably about 15 years old now and i have only replaced one of the elements – about 6 years ago.

Thanks for the replies – much appreciated.

Has anyone ever had any problems with the tyres not sitting properly on a flow rim or worse still, coming off.

I only ask because the wall is really shallow and it just got me thinking.

I am in the process of building a bike up after a few years off.

Odered some bits from crc on monday and i have just been emailed (thursday) to let me know it has been despatched. 🙄

Ordered a seatpost off an ebay seller yesterday (absolute cycles) and it was with me today 🙂

The speed of the crc website is a joke – taking up to 1 min to load pages.
Will get the rest of my bits elsewhere.

By the way i am new here – sorry for my first post being a whine 😆
