I’ve spent a bit of time on them as we do them in the shop. Super stiff, but the pick up is the big selling point for me, it’s amazing. Make’s Pro II’s seem very pedestrian. I just wish I could afford a pair!

try the 2011 marin rift zone, 100mm travel, although it feels longer! You'll just have to wait a little while longer though. I did the 24/12 on one and loved it, didn't want to give it back actually!

try a deuter trans alpine 30 – it's huge! (but in a good way)

I bought one because I'm doing the CTC leaders courses and it's big enough for carting around all the extras you need for the group, but still comfortable with it.

Sorry I typed it in a hurry.

I've ridden both, I've ridden the aluminium one several times. It's really capable, flies uphill and dispatches the singletrack easily, but for me the steel one just felt like it had that extra something. It did feel a little more comfy too. If I had to choose between the two I'd definitely opt for the steel I think.

I loved the 905, rode the steel version last weekend too. Didn't feel quite as quick to accelerate or as easy to climb on, but I absolutely loved the feel of it. Really nice comfy frame, great handling too. Actually it was my favourite of the day until I tried the Titus El Guapo and I 'accidentally' bought that!

Aah, a bit of Dorian action, I struggle to steel myself off the Natural minor thing, despite my best efforts. I had to force myself to think about the blue note for this (if indeed I used it, I can't remember!).

    Good stuff anyway :-)

    It's alright, I should have added a ;-)

I saw Paul last year at the Concorde 2 in Bighton, I think he's great, amazingly fast picking.

Plumber, yes I love Neal Schon, told you I'd forgotten some. The last band I was in we did 6 Journey songs in the set!

I'm clearly missing something here! How do I get Audacity to record a stereo track without it recording the backing track onto it too? Every time I hit the record button it records the guitar I'm playing live, but also the backing track onto the new track. Help!

Bum, that went wrong, for some reason the backing track was also over the solo guitar tracks. I'll do it again tonight, although it'll probably be completely different!!

GTR4 was my favourite, but least bluesy!! It should be synced up on the complete track. I just thought I'd give you the option of the others too.

    4 it is then :-)

gtr4 file should be it in isolation. If you want me to export it again let me know……
