Yep, that’s a JEM77FP, I’ve had it 20ish years, awesome bit of kit. I’ve got an S series 7 string too.

Thanks, it was quite a tricky one to learn, good fun though :-)

Good one, I like Rush, Exit Stage Left is one of my favourite albums. I’ll have to have a crack at that myself I think. When ever I record stuff and put it on line I always play along with the track too.

    Here’s one of mine…..

linky – can’t get the vid to embed!

I’ve got a circle with about 500ish mtb / cycling people in, so there’s usually something interesting to look at or read. It is interesting getting to see peoples photos and descriptions of rides in other countries and what the riding scenes are like. Perhaps we should have an STW circle?

@sturmey – don’t know, I had that one a while back. I’ve not seen any new ones about actually. I’m going to get a Kinesis with disc brakes next. I love my Five T, but I think I’d like decent braking now.

Nice SSS, I’m going to get a new race bike for 2012….

I started again this year after a 30’ish year lay off, I love the racing and the old gits category is massive down this way :-)

Went up to 740 on my El Guapo

they’re cut down to 700 now and that fits all my regular trail apart from two gaps in particular and I know where they are now!

Most go between £150 and £200 on ebay, if you’re still selling pop a picture of it on this thread, I need a new Floval…

Did a very muddy Bontrager 24/12 with a pair of them and they worked well. I’ll probably get another pair this winter…

You could just explore the local area thoroughly and see which bits get bad and avoid them, I’ve been riding on the south downs for over 20 years and we ride all year round without any problems!

Here’s one of the many build incarnations of my old Hei Hei, like a muppet I sold it, which I constantly remind myself was a stupid thing to do!

Mike, are there any pics of the red ones on your site?

Indeed, well said Mike, I’ve finished behind you a couple of times at Gosport!

Forget about the age / kids bike nonsense. What you’ll find at a race is a load of friendly people your age who love riding bikes and racing. Hell most of them ride MTB’s too. I’ve really enjoyed racing at Gosport this year and will be back in 2012 for sure. Hopefully making it into a few more ‘A’ finals now I’m getting used to it!

Incidentally Mike what colour are the current MX24R frames, I’m going to need a new bike very soon….

I had a 20 year gap, started again with my son. Been riding it for about ten years again now. I started racing again this year too, hadn’t done that since I was 14. I was 43 yesterday ;-)

I think it definatley complements your mountainbiking, especially racing, really helps with your flow :-)

I’ve got friends up there so I go several times a year and ride FTD / Monkey and do all the off piste stuff too. It’s a great place to ride and I think Chase Trails do a brilliant job :-)

There’s some really good bits in Brighton at the moment, most of it is in and around the lanes.

You say it’s a waste of time, but I follow and chat to a few mtb folk, the week before last when I was on holiday I arranged a ride up at Cannock Chase and got shown lots of lush trails I’d not done before, so it’s good for something :-)

Oh and cheers @mattmbr and Co.

    \m/ Indeed

The Iceman was a great guitar, I didn’t really want to sell, but I had to make up the shortfall on the 7 string. I have a JEM 77FP and they compliment each other nicely. I still can’t really do the 7 string justice yet though, still trying to get my head round it!

I had an iceman, great guitar:

Sold it to fund my S7320 though:

Cheers, well fingers crossed as we have a mix of both, anywhere in particular we should avoid?
