It’s a tough call my wife has this one:

    DSC04483 by http://www.sussex-mtb.com[/url%5D, on Flickr

Which I’ve ridden a bit and really liked so I bought a new one:

Gotta say at the moment it feels like it was a mistake, the different angles from hers make it feel less of a good all rounder and a bit more biased to the gravity side of things. I’m going to give it a while longer, but I can’t help feeling I’ll end up getting shot of it in the end.

I was doing about 20mph chatting to a mate on the way to Cissbury (south downs again – badger hotspot!) one jumped out the hedge, took out my front wheel. I thought I’d broken my collarbone, luckily it was OK though. My exposure light however was killed, it had to go back. I put a note in the box to say it was victim of a badger attack and they fixed it for free :-)

Brant as you’re on this thread I wanted to order a black, medium El Guapo with the CCDB shock, but it says ‘preorder’ on the button. Any idea when they are coming in? You have them with the monarch shock in medium, but not the CCDB.

Deuter Trans Alpine 30 here, it’s big enough to kart around an 8 person shelter when I need it as well as all the other associated crap for supporting group rides too

BMX bike sizing chart by http://www.sussex-mtb.com[/url%5D, on Flickr

Here you go, this is on the wall at Gosport BMX club, bike size / top tube length against height, should tell you all you need to know. Don’t get one that is too long or it will be difficult to handle

Aah I hate these retro Kona threads! I had a 94 explosif and sold it for a 95 hei hei, man I wish I’d never got rid of that one, it was awesome!!

It’s funny because my previous bike, a Kona Hei Hei, I had for 14 years and it was awesome. I only sold it because I wanted something that would take a longer fork. I love the Hummer that I replaced it with, however I’m not sure that it’ll last 14 years like the kona did for me, I’ve just seen too many failures.

As much as I like his later/blues stuff, unlike the rest of you I really love his early solo stuff and later Thin Lizzy stuff (I know that puts me in the minority!).

    TLR

the 2009 ones failed on the down tube gusset, the 2010 ones failed in the same place as the one above, which I believe has happened with other lynskey built frames on more than one occasion.

I’ve got a 2009, it is the best thing ever. 2 of my mates bought at the same time, both their 2009’s broke, they got replacement 2010’s and they broke! Mine has been great though :-)

It’s going to receive some upgrades in 2012…..
