Yes me too now, luckily I didnt see anything dodgy on my account when I first read this thread, but as a belt and braces measure, I cancelled the card that I used at CRC recently. Since then I was contacted my my bank to let me know that the old card had been attempted to be used to buy something for £400 from Harrods online. Thank god I cancelled that card so it wasnt an issue, hats off to my bank for keeping tabs on my accounts (Lloyds TSB). And CRC really need to stop trying to absolve themselves from responsibilty for this. I will be not using them in the near future.

Nothing on mine since using my voucher, however utter paranoia has led me to stop my debit card anyway, had debit card fraud happen twice now in the past couple of years, and corrently or incorrectly both the instances were immediately after Wiggle purchases. Online shopping is convinient and cheap most of the time, but its a proper ballache when things go wrong. Am going to vow to use LBS shops more often

I know, everyones going to say “he only really tried in the TDF blah blah, Mercx rode 100 races a year etc etc” but Lance Armstrong may not be the most likeable character but as a bike rider, phenomenal. And Big Mig wasnt too shabby either.

was gonna get cocky but hughjenjin above is a mate and am worried about him

ha ha cheers mate, Still battling on mind. A pay decrease and a skipped salary this month isnt as bad as being jobless ! On the other hand spunking a load of cash on fancy new bike bits is a non starter at the moment. :-) If everything goes pear shape can myself, Mrs Jengin and all the little Jengins come and move into your log cabin ?

Utter crap, help run a small but profitable family manufacturing business, always paid our bills and kept local lads in work. Never shafted a supplier, the revenue or the VAT and never let our bank down.
But at the beginning of this year our business account manager came and told us about an unfortunate new bank directive, to slash overdraft and financing facility to small business in certain sectors, therefore at our quietest time of year when productivity and turnover are lowest and subsequently outgoings are highest, they decided to cut the overdraft facility we have by 2/3, so we now have to run on 30% of the available cash available proportionally that we have had for the past 25 years. Every day is a lesson in survival, and its far from over yet. Crazy thing is our order book is fuller than its ever been, sales are up and the income stream is pretty much guaranteed, yet we still have to let staff go and let down suppliers putting them under pressure, for the first time in a quarter of a century !!! Thanks Natwest !

I wonder if thats what the issue with my Fox Float R shock. It literally sounds like its full of grit or something (which it isnt becasue I did a recent air sleeve service on it and it was clean as a whistle) it sounds almost crunchy, for the first 5 or so compressions and then it goes perfectly quiet after that ??? its been stumping me whats causing it. At first I even wondered whether it was the shock and not some pivot full of crud, or something. damping and rebound seems to still work ok, not noticed any extra bobbing or blowing through the travel, and rebound dial still has the same responses as I would expect. So not overly concerned unless someone knows different. I suppose you could describe it as squelchy, but it sounds more like crunchy to me ! And then strangely it goes quiet after a half dozen compressions ?? Any clues anyone ??

+1 for Nant y Arian and Penmachno, with some Coed Y brenin on the side. May I humbly add a “SCHERWING”

Forget it WT, lets go to Coed Y Brenin instead :) I conviniently forgot to enter as well, nothing to do with the fact that there is a load of sub 18min 5 kers entered so would get battered on the run. :)

Nextdaytyres are about as good as you’ll get for stock and service for Maxxis and other brands, so if you are dead set on a certain tyre then look at them.
I run a 2.1 62a exception Crossmark on the back of my race bike, and its a very fast tyre. Just a bit fragile in the exception series carcass for anything rocky. I split the carcass on two of them when I stupidly took the race bike to the Marin trail. If you buy a crossmark with the marginally heavier but tougher casing, then it’ll be a great dry weather fast tyre

Yep love mine, got the solar powered, waveceptor type one (sets itself automatically to the atomic clock) and its brill, not the most subtle or elegant looking thing, but then I dont bat an eyelid when I accidentally smack it against a door frame when walking out of a room :) Also got a Rolex oyster which since I bought a G-shock I now never wear !!

I have passed a few speed cameras on a road bike with some others at a speed in excess of the permittable speed on that road, and we have never seen the cameras go off, we all started to wonder whether a cyclist can actually set off a camera ? Sounds daft I know, but not knowing the technology of these things that well, I presumed it was due to the lack of size of a guy on a bike, but then I guess they can capture motorcyclists or whether there was any thermal technology deciphering motor vehicles from other passing objects, like birds etc. Be intrigued if someone could confirm or blow my rubbish theory apart :)

7 days Post op tonsillectomy was rough for me but I am not trying to compete with people that have been through a lot worse than me, without doubt.

Why no Specialized Epic listed, In a recent test against an Anthem, top fuel and something else (I forget) they highlighted it as a true race bike in speed but that rode more like a trail bike than any of the others, sounds about perfect for what the OP wants.

I have a Endura windchill jacket, medium, and it fits pretty much like a medium in any other brand I have tried. I also have Endura Hummvee shorts, I weigh 10 and a bit stone and have a 30″ waist and the inner shorts nearly cut me in half !! SO yes it appears that the shorts sizing is odd, but the jackets and tops seem about right

My Crossrides went up and sealed perfectly with Stans standard strips and Maxxis high rollers and Minions. I also ran a single layer of Velox tape underneath

    Football = very average
Rugby = abysmal (being from Wales, being crap at Rugby is considered some sort of retardedness)

Cricket = Yes, I was good at Cricket at school level, could open the batting at 11am and still be there at 3pm chucking out time :) Still like a game now

looks like the spirit of Roy Chubby Brown is alive and kicking in Divagirl. Note to self, probably not best to take Divagirl back to meet me mum for a quiet Sunday lunch on our first date

How’ve you been treated? have you been ripped off? I’d like to know

Always good service from Alfs (wrexham) in my memory, Chester wise I have bought from the Edge and they seemed good lads. Does the OP still work at the other Chester shop. In which case, when I have bought from there, he in particular was very helpful and easy to deal with, and it was appreciated.

Presuming that Divagirl is actually a girl as the name suggests, (there is some confusing names on here !)

Ah sorry, didnt read the whole marrying Matt Damon thing by DG, yep that probably clears up the confusion.

Let us know how the old marrying Matt Damon thing goes, good luck with that, and all the best to you both. Assuming of course he doesnt get a restraining order on you, restricting you to a 500 yard radius of him

I hear you Whytetrash, I have spent many a happy hour trying in vain to prise sheepshite off my frame after riding on the Clwyds, Why didnt someone tell me that sheep only eat glue ! I reckon they could use Sheepshite to stick the heat deflecting tiles on the space shuttle, they’d never fall off then !

I thought that women hated the whole Roger Moore Bond style, and went for the whole Sean Connery thing.
Clearly Divagirl turns this preconception on its head. Presuming that Divagirl is actually a girl as the name suggests, (there is some confusing names on here !)

Tomorrow Never Dies, is far and away the worst Bond film ever, truly awful. Of the old school stuff its “spy who loved me” for me every time, and the newer era “goldeneye” (but thats because of Famke Janssen mainly :)

I'm gonna winterise an old pair of shoes this yr…silicon sealent rubbed into the mesh panels and duct tape over that

Whytetrash. why dont you go the whole hog and winterise your feet, you could cover them in silicone and wrap tape over that, and just pick it off in March

I've lived here for nearly 5 years

Will be coming again shortly for work, as I do every year, wouldnt mind picking your brains for some good eating spots etc if thats ok. Like I mentioned in an earlier post we come to Dubai every year for the past 12 – 13 years for trade conventions, so have pretty much eaten in most places, but always looking for somewhere new to try, and some local info would be good. We ate at Ravi's (on the street) last year which came as a recommendation, I beleive its pretty well known, and that was quite an experience. Also the Gordon Ramsay restaraunt Glass-house at the Hilton Creek was great partiucularly on the 1 Dhm a drink night.

We always enjoyed the Friday Buffet at the Fairmont, but it is getting hellish expensive.
And yes I was only joking about the "Rattlesnake" although I have been dragged there a couple or 5 times

Should imagne it'll be pretty muddy and heavy going, its my local riding area, and I rode all the trails round there about a fortnight ago just before I went away on holiday and it was really muddy then, apparently its been raining a fair bit here since.
