Drinking some at this very moment that the Mrs got me from M&S, the excellent Sharp’s Atlantic which I’ve been on the lookout for after a Cornwall trip a couple of months ago.

I’ve put some on and clicked on as following but seem to only be able to see mine and the op’s?

New to STW ski thread and never actually been skiing, however I do have a fascination with cross country skiing.
Having never done it does anyone have any recommendations on novice friendly places to try it?
Not worried if it’s away from the big hills as really have no intention of doing downhill.

I think this proves weather presenters (particularly female one’s) are hotter than downhill skiers 😉

Being a serial gainer and having lost 4 stone on two separate occasions and 2 stone a number of times in the past, I have eased up to 15st 1lb or 96.7 euros 😳

Not just caused by Christmas, have been a bit slack exercise and eating wise for about 4 months!

Exercise regime has started in earnest and will consist of 4 bike sessions a week (outside or turbo, weather dependent) and 2 gym sessions, also gonna get some of those suspension strap things TRX style and plan to do a core strength session everyday that doesn’t include a gym session!

Initial target 13st 7lb for April with longer term target 13 stone.

Got a fair few BT shares, the Mrs worked for them up until about 6 months ago and we always had sharesave’s on the go.
They’ve done well in the last 12 months and the city appear to be quite upbeat about there venture into the TV sport side of things and potentially eating into Sky market share.

Couple of mates are heavily into Quindrell Group, think they list under QPP, although I think their looking medium to long term?

maximusmountain, I’ve found similar things but I don’t think what I have has any bearings, it appears to just be a plastic? item which gives me a thread for my existing BB complete with bearings to screw into, not sure if that makes any difference though?

Alpha, only recently got a taste for it, was looking at some Graham ‘s today, not like the 30 yr old one in your post though, is it a brand you’ve had before?

    Please don’t leave this!
My brother had a DVT following an op on his ankle and a period of immobility, as he got up to go upstairs to bed it moved into his lungs and he collapsed, paramedics were unable to help 🙁

That was 6 years ago, so whilst I can’t tell you what a DVT feels like, I could give you an insight on how it left my Mum & Dad feeling, me, two other brothers, his wife and two young son’s.

Would be very keen on this, as I’m sure many of my fellow Cotswold Veldrijden team mates would be 😉

This needs to happen tang, please, please, please!

My glueing method is pretty much as you describe V12jat but with 2 dry layers on the tub prior to mounting.

I was of the understanding that the tape helps build up the centre of the rim allowing the tub to have more contact area when mounted.

This being required as most rims are designed for tubs of around 22 or 23mm and not CX tubs of 32mm?

daver27, if i’ve got them apart and seeing they’ve not been serviced would it make sense to do all serviceable parts?

No service as such in 2 years 😳

I took them apart once to change the travel, re-assembled with new oil, that’s it!

I think it’s the overall capacity you have to watch for.

The 6600 is 29 teeth IIRC, so your front teeth difference is 14 (53-39) and your rear 16 (28-12?) so your total capacity is 30 so only 1 over?

I had a problem recently when I tried to put a 11-28 with a 50-34, total capacity was 33 and the mech couldn’t take up the slack in the chain when on small chainring and small end of the cassette 🙁

Now let me clarify a minute, I wouldn’t class myself as a RWB hater 😯
but as DavidB said it is mediocre.
What the town did on the repatriations was fantastic and a credit to them, however the feeling I got from the people that live there is most of them were pleased when the repatriations finished.

The senior school in RWB is I believe (not having kids) very highly rated (a mates Mrs works there)

Getting on M4 at that time would be no problem.

People parking on the High St is a pain, there’s a massive car park round the back of the shops which people don’t like to use as they seem to prefer interupting the traffic by trying to park on the High St 🙄

Was thinking of adding a comment until DavidB wrote it for me 😆

Would echo his comments particularly about RWB 😉

I’m in a village between Lyneham and Calne (no prizes for guessing), wouldn’t want to live in either of them but happy where I am, very quiet which I like.

Traffic between RWB and M4 can be a mare, if you were going to Reading though getting on this end (earlyish I assume) would be ok.

Not sure if there still doing them but I got 10 for £20 from Tredz a couple of weeks ago.

And although it didn’t say in the add when they turned up they were Specialized tubes, was very pleased 😉

Thanks Sum and qwerty, that was the calculation I was struggling with 😳

On a closer look it would appear the cassette I took off was a 12-25 so the 11-28 was stretching capacity all ends up, I’m blaming having too many bikes and not enough brain capacity 😆

I’ve taken a 12-27 cassette which is almost new off of a set of cross wheels and this although still slightly over capacity appears to be working much better and should get me round tomorrow.

And as has already been mentioned will have to steer clear of 50/27 and 34/12 😯

For the people asking about 29er tubes, I’ve got some in the last few days from Tredz 10 for £20 (1.9-2.3 presta)
Although it didn’t say it when they turned up they were Specialized tubes, they did other sizes as well so got 10 for the CX bike as well 😉

Have been known to take part in a few 😉

My frame is the same length top tube as my road bike (540mm) and TBH could be a smidge shorter, but after much fiddling with position it is for a TT bike fairly comfortable.
