I've had a Mountain King Supersonic running tubeless for a few months now with just occasional top ups with the pump…although at first the sidewalls erupted with hundreds of tiny white spots of sealant (like trying to pump up a tea strainer at first)

If the price is not a problem, just fit the replacement on your side-be cool about it and hopefully they’ll appreciate a decent neighbour.

Definitely Top (if you want it to replace a bottom pull it can be converted to bottom pull, just swap your old bottom pull quadrant & pivot pin which is longer & unscrews)

Plumber specializing in solar hot water for the past couple of years,(sub contracting to a solar firm)things got very busy last year, hope it continues although have had to take a bit of a drop in pay partly due to weak pound to euro (panels & controls from Germany)

If you go for the more efficient type of panels (evacuated tube rather than flat panels)and they’re well placed, then 70% of your hot water should be a reasonable expectation. only on heavily cloudy days (& of course foggy ones)should it be inactive, although if you put enough panels on your roof even a day like those would do it,but then the problem is what to do with all that heat when the sun comes out (i’ve seen 167 degrees C on the panels in the summer
