Well I got up, wondering what to do with myself on my birthday, switched the news on and just sat there stunned,(& sort of thankful that it hadn't happened 2 weeks earlier when my son went up to the top sightseeing)feel terrible for all those lost & everything but the main lingering feeling is that the bastiges stole my sodding birthday.

Well it's been in for a couple of months ( as a top up)you can see where the thorns have been by a slightly moist (i love that word) spot on the tyres after a ride so i've no complaints so far, tyres are Conti mountain kings -rear is proper tubeless tyre and the front is a supersonic with that hot chillie compound (bloke in the shop reckoned I'd never get it to work, red rag to a bull that one)I got the latex from a local art/craft suppliers (hussey & greaves in chelmsford) £11 per litre & I used it without any thickener

your all pussy footing about the bloke'll never get anywhere like that.
Just pull up next to her look her strait in the eye & ask "Do you want to go halves on a bastard"
You'll soon find out if she has a sense of humour (or any concealed weapons)

sounds a little heavy on the price (don't know the size of rad' of course) sod the magna'thing and flush your system through then corrosion inhibitor in the system sorts that, and sadly i'm in Essex 900 would make it worth the journey but that's not saving you anything is it.

Well living in Essex I'm a bit short on interesting terrain, & as far as lovely singletrack winding through bluebell carpeted woods goes, it's all footpaths & nature reserves (Danbury & little baddow)I was riding through some of them yesterday afternoon,if there is someone walking the dog I/we ease up on the speed & often pull over to let them pass ,say hello & comment on such lovely (or crap) weather, sometimes you hear some tutting & once in a while someone a bit more vocal to which I've suggested that they shouldn't let it spoil their day,,then dropped a couple of gears & shot off as fast as my occasionally jelly legs would take me.as for night rides well then the world is of course your lobster. at the of the day we don't leave any litter about the place or break any fences and we avoid the most sensitive areas when it's likely to be a bit soft & squidgy under foot/tyre so as not to churn it up, and after skimming through this thread I now feel ever so slightly naughty..which i quite like.

Oh and Guy Martin (retro looking silver honda & black leathers) races mountain bikes as well to help fitness, can't believe after 100 yrs of the tt ans stopping to put your foot down on entering the pits they change to a pit lane speed limit and Guy Martin falls foul with a 30 second penalty..what a bastige!

I've got a Fox Flux which seems to have a fair airflow v protection ratio.
and i sweat so freely that my need to replace fluid while riding is severely limited by my need for oxygen

That was meant to say ..insulating tape under the proper rim tape.

    hug

I reckon you need one with a tank attached as it's the initial rush of air that initially gets the tyre bead to seal. just as a tip though if you put extra tape around the rim (i just used insulating tape the proper rim tape)it make the tyre bead tighter thus seals better & then a track pump should do it

Right I think this is my final post on the subject,we (the rest of the world)need to pull this situation into some kind of sustainable line.
Israel needs to stop expanding (of course they need to hand back a lot),palestine/gaza need more than a postage stamp sized piece of land to stand a chance of building any kind of self sustaining economy .if we stopped blindly supporting israels position it could be one less thing for the islamists of this world to hate us for (I've always liked the view from the moral high ground, may even take the bike up there for the ride back down)
I don't really care about changing any of your minds,it'll make no difference there are a few blokes around the world that could, but they don't give a toss for the views of a plumber from essex. Good luck chaps im of for a ride with the kids

I don't,i can afford 1 decent bike (sanderson life & nice bits bolted on)and it goes through the woods, streams & fields of Essex (where i live) and up to the peak district and over to affan. nearly killed me once or twice but the bikes fine, and the forks are 15mm longer than recommended wooo
