‘Women have very little idea of how much men hate them.’ Threads like this are a salient and sobering reminder.

Having always previously bought Garmin watches for running and found them a bit disappointing, I got a TomTom and love it. It’s got a built in hrm (so no annoying strap) and the app is ace for analysing your run. You can choose lots of ways to set goals and it really does motivate you. TomTom are pretty good at responding to/addressing issues too. Wish the strap wasn’t pink though. Got it from Wiggle when it was on offer.

I’ve flown with Ryanair loads over the past couple of years, only time I’ve seen staff enforce ‘the rules’ was with someone trying to take six items of handluggage onboard.

Love Merrells for general off-road bimbling but Salomon Speedcross are my faves for trail running – light, springy and grippy. Need a narrowish foot/highish arch though so not going to suit everyone.

Same reason men say ‘I don’t like to generalise and much less in a sexist way’ immediately before generalising and in a sexist way?

Just got a TomTom Runner 3 multisport GPS watch with integrated HRM and it’s ace. Loads cheaper/better than any Garmin I’ve owned. Got it for running but it would be great for improving general fitness.

Have a Bremshey Trail fold-y up-y one which has been amazing, low-maintenance and resilient. Used loads. Once ran a mara on it … Would recommend (the TM, not staring at the same spot on the wall for 26 miles).

The hop on hop off bus is great for getting a feel for the city and its layout. Accommodation can be eyewateringly expensive! Around st stephen’s green is lovely. Book tickets for museums etc in advance if you can cos everything gets booked up (esp kilmainham gaol). There are ace free walking tours from the spire.
    This museum is great

No. Running with a swingy high ponytail is one of life’s great little pleasures. I have a dodgy shoulder at the moment and am stupidly sad because I can only tie my hair back in a pathetic nape-of-neck abomination.

Dogs are models of stoicism when it comes to dental pain so the fact that they don’t act like they have toothache doesn’t mean much. My bearded collie had 3 teeth out (and the rest cleaned) at 14. Tough decision but it all worked out. She was a bit grumpy afterwards – but only cos she was hungry. She cheered up no end after a load of MandS chicken.
