    +1 for Higgo.

The Syma jobby is a cracker – and an absolute steal for £20, we’ve had 2 buzzing about our office since xmas, various parts broken, replaced (cheaply and easily) and they still go great.

There was a guy lifting a bike out of the boot of one the other weekend at the Dales bike centre… Both wheels off, but didn’t look like he was struggling.

Just spotted this – and reckon I’m in if I can shift this weird achey bunged up thing I’m currently sporting.

Used them for a few months, some stuff is gorgeous, other stuff makes you wonder if you’re getting value for money.

Nice as an office nibble to keep away the biscuits.

I only stopped because I figured I could buy similar stuff from the local wholefood shop and stick some money in the local community. Plus they do a cracking flapjack, and some local beers 😉

I tend to manually copy my photo’s from card reader to computer, name the folder with “2011-05-25 – something relevant” to keep the date order neat.

I only shoot in JPG (compact digital cameras), but I do tend to have a subfolder called resized which I batch resize anything I’m going to upload into, at 1024×768 for photobucket/flickr

I use a USB 2.0 portable drive, it’s not the fastest thing in the world, but also it’s no slouch. Transfer speed is as much to do with spin speeds and cache on both internal and external drives, as it is to do with USB/firewire.

Depends how an@l you want to get with it, strictly speaking a polish and a wax are two separate products, although a lot of companies (meguiars, autoglym, turtle) do combo products that for a car with decent quality paintwork will do a pretty good job.

If you’ve got significant swirl marks or light scratches, a good polish, then a coat of wax will be better although more time consuming.

Whichever you decide make sure your car is properly clean before starting the polishing process, little bits of grit will get picked up and dragged across your bodywork

I’ve got bits of chrome on my car, and have never done anything other than just dry and buff it with a clean cloth/microfibre towel.

Serial Fiat owner here, last one being a Panda 100hp which will be the same engine block, great cars for the money, friend has a 1.4 GP, and does best part of 60miles a day commuting, has only ever seen the garage for servicing.

Smart looking, nice driving, cheap to run… sounds good to me.

Surely the only option is a Singletrack white/blue or blue/white one? 😉

either that or try Prendas for some proper retro action

In a reversal of the thread, I went to Monaco for the GP about 10 years ago, and as we were walking round the track the evening of qualifying day, Eddie Jordan and a few other Jordan shirted guys rode past us heading into the tunnel the wrong way.

Cue typical English calling and chanting of “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie” he turned, waved and smiled…

If you time it nicely could you perhaps manage some cheap accommodation in a Student house/flat whilst they’re all on summer break? Don’t know how many landlords do that…

Again, Broomhill are and surrounding are pretty good, and the right side for the peaks etc.

These guys might be worth a try, the ones you list aren’t on their site, but the list doesn’t seem too comprehensive. If memory serves me right for the amount on the shelves at the shop, not everything is on the site.

Again, a big Thank You to Harry for organising! Really enjoyed it, think I may have been riding round in circles in my dreams last night!

Great to meet a few more forum lurkers too.

Now, I MUST resist the temptation to look at track bikes whilst I’m supposed to be working.

    Cheers

Does it do it regardless of pressure? (i.e. same clicking if freewheeling and pedaling leisurely, as going full attack?)

BB possibly going (could be manufacturing fault if only had light use)?

Have been seriously considering the HS10 too, seems to be the only bridge camera that has a manual zoom and focus on the lens like a DSLR (although I think a newer model is about to come out). I had a play on one in a Curry’s and it felt pretty substantial.

Sample pics if you look on flickr by camera type are pretty good too.

Yeah, I’ve had a couple of tyres from them in the past, prices were great for the tyres I needed for my old Panda 100hp.

The fitting centres tend to be ‘national tyres and exhausts’ so probably worth ringing them independently too see if they can match or beat the on-line price.

ooops, missed this one…. as MM said I had one, excellent fun, cracking to drive but not as good being a passenger though, the suspension is a little ‘unforgiving’ shall we say.

Sold mine about 8months ago, miss the cheeky thing a little!

Here it is in bikey and non-bikey form for old times sake….

    I’ve got one!

I’ve up’d it to 6gb ram, run’s great, not too hot, battery realistically is 4hrs if surfing etc. very quiet really.

HDMI got tested last night too, played 720p video fine.

The only thing I struggled with was a snug fitting sleeve due to the battery sticking out the back. I tracked down this though, from the previous model, same size, nice fit…

As mentioned above, East Z East is a cracking Indian, and is on the way from the Lowry to the MEN.

Pre-show drinks on deansgate (label, living room, etc) then off to the Northern Quarter afterwards.

I would imagine there’s more available if you were to look for panniers if your bike will take them

in fact a quick google of ‘lockable panniers’ turns up quite a few.

Looked like a bargain to me so i’ve gone for a blue & a yellow one (commuting)

Nice to see a zippable pocket on the rear (looking at the pic) for more phone/key security.

I went for large over my usual medium looking at the size guide.

I hired one from Dales bike centre for a day out up there last year, got an 18.5″ one (I’m 5’10ish) it felt quite short for me too, and I normally ride a Trek Top Fuel in the same frame size.
