Use Tesco pretty regularly, don’t have any grumbles, and their service has got better and better over the past few years. Must admit that other than bacon/sausage we tend to get out meat from the local butchers (through choice not because of a bad tesco experience).

have been weighing this one up recently for winter road outings:

    looks pretty smart too

Just try the same again, I had to do mine a couple of times at 1st to get the procedure spot on. Practice makes perfect and all that….

+1 for the 100hp crowd…. more smiles per mile!

Or you may get a facelift (54reg ish) Yaris T-Sport for that money too…. very underated warm-hatch.

I’ve had both the above and would be hard picked to say which was better (Panda Handled better, but Yaris is more practical/hard wearing).

I did it too, left Trafford about 1:15am, and NO, I saw no sign of her either. It was raining though, so that may have been a ‘get out’ in her appearance contract.

Did you have a good time? I foolishly put myself up to riding back again (to near Oldham….). Sleep deprived and 8 hours in the saddle, a bit cold and bit wet… Ace!

Always wondered why you’d by anyone would by any of the below:

If you get a page where some images/thumbnails are missing, and you refresh the page, are the same images still missing? or if you get a page where the formatting is missing and you refresh does that correct it (some, if not all of the time)?

Have you tried running a ping to see if your internet connection if going up and down?

Using the win7 or xp machine, go to the ‘Run…’ (XP) or ‘Search…’ (Win7) line on the start menu, type CMD, press OK/enter and then when the command prompt box appears type:

    ping google.com -t

    you should get….

Pinging google.com [74.125.230.148] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 74.125.230.148: bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=52
    Reply from 74.125.230.148: bytes=32 time=17ms TTL=52
    Reply from 74.125.230.148: bytes=32 time=17ms TTL=52
    Reply from 74.125.230.148: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=52

Any line where you get ‘Response timed out’ are potentially your line dropping, enough of this or prolonged periods and you’ll start getting issues surfing.

Decathlon’s own one has no padding and end’s up a bit bigger than a ream of paper…. does the trick for me with a bit of strategic bubble wrap/foam

From Ashton, you could do a reasonable Peaks Loop on the road bike within 50miles (stalybridge, mottram, glossop, snake, langset, flouch, longdendale, mottram…. ish).

Or, off road you’ve got access to Saddleworth and surrounding area (my neck of the woods), or Peak/Glossop/Goyt valley area too. All good.

What day of the week are you there – I’d be happy to try and sort out a bit of an outing on or off road (steady pace)!

    Cheers

Not that I’m aware of, but it’s not winter yet, so mudguards don’t need to be on yet 😉

I did see someone yesterday with a front wheel mudguard (the kind that clamps under the fork crown) on back to front… quite how the rider thought it was the right way round I’ve no idea.

Not sure how these guys compare for your printer, but they’re been consistently good on price for the last few HP one’s I’ve had, as I prefer original carts for printing photo’s.

    Might be worth a look:

I’ve had a dare2b one for a couple of years now, very comfy, well made, and relatively cheap.

I got dragged on stage by him a few years ago – was trying to lurk at the back and avoid eye contact…!

Only up there for 5 mins or so whilst he did one or two tricks more down the ‘magic’ rather than ‘psychology’ vein. Things like holding and leaning me to one side and making someone with their eyes closed on the other end of the stage stumble/fall at the point where I’d have gone if I were being held… Very convincing and entertaining.

Really enjoy some of his more recent TV stuff, and he’s a pretty good artist/portrait painter too.

I’d say it’s worth at least three – although if it doesn’t sell this time, I’d definatley get the sunroof fixed, and bolt the seats in.

Not too much call for a Defender with a lot of rear glass for ‘van/commercial’ purposes, more likely to get interest as a 6 seater I’d have thought.

Has he listed it on Pistonheads? if not I’d give that a try too, lower priced ones seem to sell quickly on there.

Our springer came from a rescue (although only 4months old-ish), sounds like you know what to expect, ours doesn’t care for shoes, but does like skirting boards/door frames.

Plenty exercise, frisbee’s tend to last longer than tennis balls and don’t get affected as much by doggy drool. Try to socialise him with other dogs too, ours gets a run out with the same bunch of dogs 3-4 times a week and they’ll play for ages whilst you stand and chat.

Jenson still pulls a bit even after training, not too much nowadays, but a good scent or distraction and he’s off!

what ever happened to those mascots ? didn’t see them knocking around at the 1 year to go celebration

They’ve been turned into Sweets! I guess in an attempt to get kids to like them through the power of sugar and marketing!

There’s also the advantage that yesterday we had some or our floors polished, the dog didn’t realise and went head over heals sliding about then floundered about getting up… great to watch. But, had the same thing happened to a niece or nephew I fear pointing and laughing may have seemed/felt a lot more cruel!

Very tempted by a ‘tourmalet’ one, as I’m heading up there in august…. do I buy before and tempt fate, or wait until I’m done (possibly quite literally) and risk missing out?

Lovely Dog SB (and all the others that have followed).

Jenson approves! Although this was his recent verdict on my STW addiction…

Then shortly after, when I’d taken the hint…

And one looking handsome for good measure…
