DONT GET A CORGI. Mad little feckers. We had one when I was small. Bloody thing bit me weekly and all my Mum said was ‘leave it alone/stop bothering it then’.

Sandwich no offence to RSPCA but I wouldnt want their conditions or really much to do with them. After seeing two nesting Swan’s mauled and killed by a Staff after repeated warnings from many people. Their response was that they dont cover that scenario. That of course and my own experience with a large African Parrot that they wouldnt come out to.

    Sorry rant over.

Swampthings here as well – 60a compound though for good rolling. Fantastic tyre. I actually prefer these to High Rollers. Make me feel more confident and Ive grabbed the front brake a few times and they’ve still forgiven me.

Seriously though. Depending on your circumstances (work etc etc) – what about a Cat?

As wwaswas says. What did you feel about him? think of your experiences with him? what little things did he do that you liked about him? I think a collection of different thoughts from different people will mean alot to the recipient. In a way it gives that persons life more colour and some solace. It must be awful for their partner but I do feel, in alittle way it will help sooth the void with positivity.

Ps. Other costs- we dont do Kennels. I couldnt relax on holiday. He goes to the In-Laws quite often who are smitten by him. Plus no insurance or dog walking.

Ok. I’m tight. Which in a way is a good thing for our dog. He always gets the same food religiously and the same sized portion at the sametime everyday- Organic Duck and Kibble dry food from Petsathome. Comes in a huge bag and he gets a coffeecup full twice a day. Everyday he might also have a dribble of cod liver oil over the top as well. Half a Pear three times a week. Otherwise NOTHING else.

Dog problems (like humans) start when you chuck in processed food and treats (all treats contain utter crap- I dont care what the labels promise you).

Our dogs weight stays the same 10.4kg year in year out and the only visit he has to the Vet is for his annual jab (£25).

He once had an upset stomach (crushed Rennie in his feed) and I treated a few dog bites with Savlon.

Owning a dog can be cheap but deviate from their diet and thats when the problems start IMO- you confuse their digestion, they become irregular.

Oh ps. Ive never had to trim his nails- Exercise trims his nails :)

PS, if you MUST buy a pedigree please try and see both parents. Every westie Ive come across has common skin problems or some other genetic problem (ears etc) – inbred etc. ours thankfully has never had anything even though he is muddy/wet 5/6 times a week :)

Get a smaller one- Terrier. Less aggro (knocking furniture over etc), wont take as much room up in the car etc and if you get the right terrier…….no malting.

Coffeeking understood. Im talking about their depth of understanding.

I once went out with a girl who suffered terribly from racist comments growing up in Sheffield. She couldnt even listen to a remark made as a pure joke by a comedian. In a way it affected her, how she grew up IMO.

Opening a can of worms here but I’m struggling to see any parallel between racism and derogatory remarks about peoples mental conditions?

Surely any remark aimed at someone with a learning disability hurts the parent or carer whereas a racist remark is immediately felt and understood by the primary target?

Sorry if that view offends anyone but I think feeling hurt on anothers behalf is abit lame.

I once knew a Chinese overseas student called Chinkit (well thats how it was pronounced). Gawd she was very very nice and it was ace racially abusing her in bed :D 8)

David the mechanic in Evans- dont care about the snob-bit but thumbs up for his competent workmanship.

    matt_outandabout I’d love that if I still had my two-seater :(

Stuck in a race field? How many times a year does the average mtb-Joe race?

Transporters- yes great but I do think they are abit over-rated for what you can get for the money/mileage etc. After all they all do the samething. However its abit inverted-snobbery must-have a camperVW compared to a camperToyota….

Is it abit like a Howies-Cliche?

Smogmonster buy one with the view in mind that its value will more than likely keep free falling though. So keep and run into the ground. If you aim to keep for 1-2years I reckon you’ll loose a bare min. of 5k in the next year alone. All IMO of course, someone will be along soon and shout my wise words down 8)

Mornin’ I took it to my normal tyre place (INDIE not shaggers) and had the wheels re-rebalanced again. One rear was out by a way, the others still fine. Plus the disc on the nearestside front is heavily scored round the radius so something hefty was lodged in there. Can scored-discs get through an MOT?

I resprayed lowers on a set of 05 Z1 FR’s. First attempt- ‘ripples’. Second attempt (Turqoise) was spot on. however its about as durable as a Santa Cruz paintjob (even with Lacquer ontop). I dont think car spray is ‘right’ for mtb

It is permanent 4wd and its changeable between rev (holds first out on the high setting)- as that worked fine yesterday I assumed it would be fine. surely it would be fubar that as well (or at least give an indication)?

clutch is covered by a 12month warranty.

Will report back later- off back to tyre place first to have all balancing rechecked and check calipers etc..

Lootenant- the whole car shakes (confirmed by the passenger).

If it is a sticking caliper can you resolve yourself? (DIY)

flange- sod off. Your scaring me!

It is permanent 4wd however I switched between the two and it engaged fine/as normal on both.
