Ha, handbags whilst riding. Reminds me of the time a lad jumped redlight. I stopped, caught him (this is me we are talking about) and dropped him. Next red light. I stop, he sails straight through- after the third one I caught and as I passed him said ‘redlights are for stopping’ and he said ‘you **** what mate’ (he was dressed more of a cyclist than me) so I stopped suddenly (as did he). What transpired was a handbag fight with him basically saying mind your business. In a way true, thats what stopped me from belting him off the side of his bike- I was focusing on nitty gritty of others and that made me feel abit petty.

Look closely at the small print there should be a break-clause (usually halfway) where you can surrender the car. Speak to your CAB. They may be able to provide you with a template. My Bro in law surrender two cars at the halfway point. Gave them a letter saying ‘I will be handing back my car etc etc’ and they simply asked him to drop it off at a Auction house.

I wouldnt buy any 55’s secondhand. Ive read alot that they are absolutely the nuts when working. If you buy new you get the longer warranty- you will need it.

As above, even my Z1 FR anniversaries (07) had a new cartridge fitted. Mazz had $15m in debts – sold up and all production was moved from Italy to Far east- alot of termoil and probably alot of angry Italian workers not bothered about quality and start up/teething problems.

I sourced a front driveshaft from a Subaru Dismantlers in Hebden Bridge and it. The original cv joint was obviously broken when you rotated etc.

£100 labour and it drives smooth, fast and the steering (of course) feels alot tighter now on turn in etc.

Thank you very much for your time and help guys. Very much appreciated. Thanks to your time I saved myself an additional cost of circa £500+ as the garage thought the problem was internal/flywheel related. If I had trusted their experience I would have had this expense then eventually the real problem sorted later on.

A general rant. I hate people who see work as ‘us and them’. If a company is paying my wage my loyalty is to them, not elements of ‘fellow colleagues’ who see ways of skiving, take the p1ss etc as normal and a right. Immature doesnt come close to describing what I feel about them.

Mate of mine obviously earns a fair amount, judging by his company cars and his house. More telling though is his laidback attitude (switched off about work/money etc) and intelligence. I think those two are more telling of a person than ‘hey what do you/I earn£££’.

I rode it a few weeks ago when there was snow (with ice underneath). A few other STW’ers on here mentioned that weekend was ‘interesting’ (in a positive way) but TBH I found it trying and slightly worrying as I had constant two-wheel slides. Its not worth ruining the fitness that your building up is it by breaking yourself now IMO.
