Poor Estate agents. They can only sell houses to you that fit your criteria. If they cant tick 100% of the boxes then of course the push the next best thenthe next best thing.

Dont forget they probably get some real numpties going the other way as well.

This coming from me who when in the process of putting an offer in on a stunning two-level detatched ski-lodge style house was told by the vendor that their agents just recommended that they raise/revise their asking price by 50k. I couldnt get my head round that. 3months on and the house is still unsold.

I think this depends on what new product marketing is out or how clumsy you are.

    Totally agree.

Surely this is now a great time for Hope to diversify and step into a new market?

Look at the positives. It opens the door to new competitors to the market.

You’ve got a willing audience receptive to new manufacturers/products etc.

Plus how many rocks etc do you people ping off? I still have my 2001 XTR on my only bike.

I hear you guys and agree. You dont want someone gungho taking off someone lower down the track through no fault of their own. Im talking about riding solo and enjoying yourself without having to be part of a club-meet. It all seems to be club meets.

Let me ask. I did find it odd TBH.

To be honest though after a hardweek at work, going out in the wind/rain/ice etc to unwind does seem abit daft.

You can see a pretty good arguement for ‘cross-training’ in the winter months

Its Chinese New Year today Binners. Tonight it will be like sitting inside a Chinese TV sitcom.

Ps. You dont do Tarmac because you commute to work on a mountainbike. Trust me. Borrow my tracky and you’ll love the sensation of speed.

There are plenty of ladies out there. High quality ones too. Its not just good blokes who are dumped you know. Men do it to. I know 3 single girls who, in a parallel universe I’d be allover commitment-wise in a minute. Great girls, good personalities etc.

Do they have to be Vegans though? Not just a Veggie? I’m a partial-veggist (no Im not offering myself), I eat Vegetarian 95% of the time (prefer it) but sometimes fall off the bandwagon (bigtime, like a cockhungrywhore). Surely these types would be ok?

I was going to delete this last paragraph as it became worse the more I typed….but hey

    can do drops and tabletops

You’ve not seen how badly I ride have you?

Thing is, I want to ride the Velodrome not to be part of a club. Just for fitness, routine and solo enjoyment. I dont want to be part of a regimented ‘club’/discipline. Smacks like too much roadying for me.

Jimbo if the pound strengthens I doubt we’ll see the distributor dropping RRP prices.

It was my first revolution and I decided to ‘go for it’- he was talking to binners (binners being sensible asking for tips etc) and as I passed them my rear wheel was squeeking downwards and he turned and shouted ‘for f*cksake keep f*cking pedalling or you will fall’.

I think I know who you mean. I have been on 3 taster sessions but never got the blue slip, (didnt realise it existed tbh). Explained this to him and that I’d like to go onto the improver course but he said I’d have to go back and do the taster again…….next sesh available is in May. FFS.

Del, example- yesterday there were 3 cars plodding along in a NSL. In my normal aspired 2.0 I had to plan, take abit of a run up and leapfrog one at a time. In a turbo I’d have hit 3,000rpm and cleared all 3 in one go with minimal fuse and ease.

Capn, once every two weeks?! Then the Cayman is looking good! Why totally compromise your driving experience with a kiddie-estate or shopping trolley if its only used to carry bikes every 2 weeks?! Is the Cayman midmounted? Just wondering if you could fit a towbar? Remove when sell?

I’ve not noticed this indent on my new Summer season? Any pics- looks like regular snaking chainstay to me.

Cayman- you know theres a company that tailors/manufacturers racks for certain cars (Uk-based I think?).

If you can get a secure enough one. Why not? The benefits of the car interms of use would outweigh 2 journeys a week to rides?

Rocketdog, it is. I can honestly say I fluked mine.

On the two slot-thing. Some carpark slots are very miserly to say the least. Even a considerate shopper with a small child would struggle to get into their car without scratching adjacent cars. Of course its not the Supermarkets concern. There is to get as many cars in as possible. Scratches can cost people money. In some cases alot when they cause small dings as well.

I’ve no problem with someone overlapping a space. If it looks snug then its a problem. Sorry if that offends the carpark Police on this thread.

    Sorry to hear that xherbivorex.

Re the rent etc, how about a lodger?

I read that as rent a todger. Sheesh, darn my soddin mind.

As Traildog says. I’d move out and rent a flat somewhere or better still houseshare. Get away from the place as I imagine it feels somehow empty at the moment. A fresh start.

Agree with leggyblonde. In a normally aspired car, overtaking maneuvers can soon become questionable or 50:50 compared to overtaking smoothly in a more powerful car.

NZcol the 2.5T – I’d love to try one of those. I’ve driven a 2lT Imprezza that had been chipped. Bejesus, when the turbo whistle started winding up the first few times the hackles on the back of my neck rose and I actually felt….scared. Never felt that sensation in a car before.

Ps. It felt like I was driving a ‘mans’ car. The V84motion/S3 and a 3.2quattro that I’d driven before felt v.quick (well the S3 did) but quick but vague/muffled road experience. The Subaru felt bloody involved, visceral, connected, planted, with alot of feedback (mental orgasm over)

The Legacy dash is a big jump over the 90’s Japanese oldschool Scooby interior IMO. Slightly OT but interesting comment- I had a mkV GT TDI and loathed the interior quality!

Depends what you like, if you like to hear whine, noise etc go Scooby. If you like speed but slightly removed from proceedings; Audi.

TBH when I do get a new car it’ll be a diesel Forester 8)

Aye they took a considerable risk however where do you draw the line? Only climb on a Summers day? It’d stop becoming a challenge to any climber. They push themselves I guess, continually tackling greater climbs with inherent higher risks.

I’m not a climber but I can see what and why they do that. Of course there is the arguement about the risk (forget the cost) to the Mountain rescue teams and seaking crews. After all, exposing yourself to danger will also expose others to the same if you get it wrong.

Thats the only part I question. If you opt to climb in a considerable risk zone you should understand and agree to attempt this unsupported.

Chunts! I was actually thinking ‘me’ when I saw that pic

Reversing out of the Subaru workshop garage last week (where all the staff are Scooby-nuts) and I almost took out a toolbox, Group A rallycar and the shutter mechanism 8)

Edit: Stoner thats me as well.
