Doesn’t mention bicycles. Bicycles are not classed as a vehicle.

The rival to shimano back in the 80’s, Suntour.

I know they still make stuff under the SR Suntour name, but were the groupset of choice on many bikes back in the day.

ZOOM ? stems on lots of bikes in the 90’s, they still around?

    3 to 4 hrs :-)

Just using it as an example of amount of trails on that area. Actually both nibley and dursley have singletrack loops on top of thier respective hills with hardly any climbing.

    Just go explore.

Woods above North Nibley – jumps, dh’s, singletrack. – 40mins away

Woods above Dursley  singletrack xc -40mins away

Combine both of the above into loop for a 3/4hr ride with around 4000ft of climbing….once youve found all the secret trails.

Cranham – single track xc and some steep dh tracks – 50 mins away

Bath/conkwell – steep tech rocky trails -25mins away

Longleat – other side of road from bikepark, lots of xc singletrack -40 mins away.

West woods – a few bits

    Earlestoke – nice xc singletrack

If you allow 60mins driving, then that opens up FOD, pontypool, wylie valley, and other south wales stuff.

Interesting views. Im a  mtber that started in 1987 and did my first race in 1990, not had anytime away from the sport and still racing and riding today.

6″ bike at most trail centres is overkill. You’ll find that if you ride more off piste trails or proper dh’s then you’ll have to pick your lines. They have made a big difference to whats capable on a bike you can ride a long way comfortably.

Being a road/xc type rider im guessing you have never learnt to ride wirh your seat down, never raced dh in the 90’s? Its a different feeling if you have spent 24 years with a seat up. You need to spend time riding with a seat down to understand the benefits. Also your muscles  will not be used to the new position, making it not so natural for you. Lower seatposts are faster dh, but that may not be important for every rider.

Road riding is easier to be social. You ride and chat, not see easy on singletrack. Also many roadies are obssesed with mileage ( i ride road aswell) and they must do as much as possible in the time they have. Many mtbers dont care about miles and just enjoy the ride.

Go explore above Nibley and Dursley. Both areas can be joined up. You wont be disappointed. If ypu see a bit of singletrack, just go with it.

I applaud you. A successful business owner that cares about your staff welfare.

I would stick where you are as they knew the location when they signed up. You obviously listen to your staff so I’m sure you will continue to be successful and grow. With your approach I’m sure if anyone leaves, you won’t have a problem attracting new talent.

Allen23 clever marketing by your council.

More like council not paying to have verges cut. That’s what’s happened in my local area.

Call the police and let them know.

You may be feeling bad but the innocent that have avoided meeting them in a collision, their relatives, friends, the drink drivers family and friends together with the emergency services will thank

I believe it may have something to do with a tweet about the Manchester situation that stated there must be a “final solution” to the problem.

Bought a kona from them back in 2009. No issues with purchase and bike arrived ready to ride.

Had a warranty issue with the forks which they sorted with no problems.

Used veloviewer for a while now and love the data.

As linked above. The stravistix plug in for Goggle Chrome is a hidden Gem. Lots of extra info and details all over the sight once installed.

    Ahhh 1994

20, living with the parents in Wootton Bassett. Riding all over the Marlborough Downs area.

Driving a cream, lowered, morris minor with wide wheels. Bike rack permanently on the back with a bitg Scott USA sticker across the rear window.

Listening to Guns and Roses, Soundgarden and Nirvana.

Long hair in a ponytail. Pretty much always wore bike t-shirts.

Racing Xc and pretty sure that was the first year I did a downhill race.

Riding a Scott superlimited, diamond back response Elite and GT RTS.

And yes, pretty sure it was sun sun sun and dry trails that year.

When you say the post is too long when at full height even if the post is inserted fully do you mean….
You can’t reach the pedals without over stretching the leg or you can’t reach the floor?

I’m 6ft with 32 inch leg, spec Enduro large, seapost is about 1-1.5 inches above full insert. Seated with heal on pedal my leg is straight, once ball of foot is on the pedal in riding position, leg is slightly bent. The frame is is prefect. As your 6ft 31-32 inches I’m surprised you can’t extend the seat post fully and reach the pedals correctly? I had the same sized stumpy aswell, same set up.

He has 20 other sponsors so maybe he’s not too desperate, maybe Ellsworth have had some reinvestment, are relaunching and offered a good deal.

He’s got 40k+ followers on instagram and retired from seious international racing before the whole social media coverage of riders really took off.

He also probably still gets alot of coverage in the US.

Be interesting to see what Ellsworth bring out over the next couple of years with his experience.

On my 2nd pair of Fox Launch pads, first set purchased in 2008 and lasted until this year, just got some more.

Can ride 3 to 4 hours in them and never had chaffing. They are a proper tough pad able to take knocks from rocks. Recommended

12-15 hours is a fair bit of training if you have a full time job, family life and other commitments. Do you do 12-15 every week or have an easier week built in? How intense are those hours? Could be tiredness of training and life, could be a virus.

I have found that a cycle of 3 weeks training, 1 week rest works for me. It also gives me a week to fit in extra diy, family time etc.

Mobi 12v washer owner for 6 years. Still used on just about every muddy ride and still going strong. Just the right amount of pressure to get the bike clean without blasting bearings etc.

I consider it essential kit now to make winter life easier when traveling by Van to ride.

We alarm the house every night. All three doors into the house have door sensors, rest of rooms have PIR’S. Upstairs, hall and kitchen unalarmed so no need to unset. Garage also on same alarm system. Also have keyfob in bedside draw which can arm, disarm or set it off.

If you have a dog then place a small piece of wood under the PIR’S like a shelf. This means it won’t pick anything up low down. Set my old house up like this and our collie could wander around, get on the sofa etc and never set alarm off. But if you walked in, off it went.

Used a yale wireless easy to fit system. Of course the effectiveness of an alarm if you’re out depends on your neighbours. We are lucky where we live now as everyones pretty friendly and on the ball. Our old estate not so.
