    If you ride spd, you just get on with it. If you ride flats you have to make a big thing about it. Its always been the same and always will.
    Clips=commited
    Flats=scared

    I have a gd for about 8 months now and had no problems. Gd are very basic and can be stripped cleaned and back together in 10 mins – simple design that works. Which ever make you go for make sure its got a bar mounted lever, they are so much better. I use a multi drop version.

    Im guessing you dont have rollers, if you come off you dont go anywhere. I would suggest to anyone to try them as they really are alot easier than people make out, within 10 mins you’ll be up and get better v quickly. Thanks for the mr 30mph comment above, I wasnt showing off, that again shows you dont know rollers. They are not that hard.

    Have both and prefer rollers. You can still have a good hard session on rollers, just takes alot of concentration. I use mine to do 30mph+ efforts and find I get good workout and leg burn. Also just prefer the feel of rollers.

    If you are worried try getting them checked out. Mine are now 12mnths old and havn’t got any worse so have accepted it as how they are made. As I said got them serviced by tf tuned and mentioned the problem, so they said they’d have a look while stripped down. Came back with this explination and said bushes do not need replacing. If there was a problem they could have charged for new bushings! 6mnths on and no problems and never notice any play when riding. And they are ridden hard, jumps, drops etc.

    Its because they are 150mil travel ones which mean when the fork is unweighted the legs sit right at there limit and the play comes
    Frm the bushings. Once you sit and set the sag they should sit deeper and theres no play. Had the same issue so mentioned it during a tftuned service and thats how we explained it. 6mnths on and no problems.

    You dont need dropper seatposts? You obviously cant jump a bike? And I dnt mean a couple of inches. Oh and if u did drop your seatpost you would find you can descend more in control and faster. Dropper posts allow you to hit jumps, drops etc with out stopping.
    People ride for different reasons. Some cruise all day with out a care of time, some are out to race everyone rnd trail centres for their ego boost, and others cruise a climb just for the descent.
    We are all different and get what we want out of the sport.

    Got my first camelbak in 93, used them ever since. Their nothing new.
    Prefer not to have things on the bike.
    Love to cruise the ups at a fair pace and then hammer the downs. In the early days used to lose bottles all the time. They added pockets and I just moved the essentials off the bike and into the pack.
    Same weight. Whats the issue here? They are nothing new.

    The malvern hills classic
    Bring it back, always the summer highlight. Downhill, xc, slalom, eliminator, lake jumping it had it all, plus a real party atmosphere and festival of uk mtb.

    If it damages your nasal passages then as with all medication – get an adverse reaction – don’t use.

    When he says after each ride he gets bunged up it may not be a cold virus, more of an irritation to the nasal passeges causing swelling and stops the mucus membranes working correctly

    Don’t get all panicky at the use of the word Steriod. The steriod in question is Corticosteroids which uccurs naturally in the body.

    I my doc advised me that I couLd be suffering from vasomotor rhinitis and said try beconase and it worked.

    Try this – Beconase – available from most chemists

    Had a problem last year with a re-occurring cold after every ride that would last a few days. Never went throught the cooking a cold phase just went straight to blocked up, can hardly breath feel crap.

    You can’t catch a cold from the cold but cold air weakens the nasal passages lining that leaves you vulnerable and more likely to catch a cold.

    Beconase is a Hayfever nasal spray that is steriod based and helps to build up the strength of the nasal lining. Take it as directed on instructions in the morning and evening before bed for about two weeks. Then drop down to about once a day until used up. This should really help and works for me during the winter.

    Dont take too much though, use up a bottle and leave it a while as too much can have the effect of weakening the lining. If symptoms come back after a break, repeat..

    Went to see a Doctor and he recommended it and never had a problem since
