Have you tried Devilles or just going biased as you own Mattocs though?

Firstly the first brown Talas 36 were the best, secondly Junior Ts are complete kak and thirdly, I think your looking at Pike 409s 426s etc.

I’m sure the big traders will have an old set for the right price for them 😛

I was looking at a set of 2nd hand Mattoc Pros as a contender and would have so closely bitten the bullet had I had funds at the time.

Just a thought here, but maybe just maybe it’s because the brands have mass produced so many bikes and flooded the market with new rides year on year that folk are keeping their current bikes for longer or/and buying more newer fad model to keep alongside in stable as the deals flood all over the net.

It’s not just the price of his bike I reckon but the fact that there are simply too many bikes per person and there are limits to one household no matter how harsh that sounds to some here 😛

A ginger by the name of Anne Robinson with at least £50 mill at her disposal to create god aweful television programs.

Probably a hell of a lot more but cannot be assed atm to comment after weeding & pressure washering 100 square foot of patio paving.

If you can go for an A6 All Road, then even better, larger, more refined of course in a sensible 2.7l auto. Am sure my father picked it up with 69000 3yrs or so old and for £12500 in pretty mint condition from a dealer. I reckon he got mega lucky.

Personally it’s a complete tank, certainly seems to shift in comfort with it’s self adjusting air suspension.

Just how on earth Audi are chucking out the number of all these models is simply staggering. They certainly have attracted a broad spectrum of drivers and gained a huge following.

Loads to choose from to service Bos now advertised on PB.

Jungle are the new distributor and Stif can sort you out service wise to memory.

I would mimic what Mildred stated above tbf, RS feels dead and the Bos if anything going on their superb forks is, then it’s going to be a game changer.

Oh and am still waiting to hear back from Bos 3 weeks on regarding air pressure for a Bos Dizzy fork, so not good as their site was down and playing error codes on downloading the air chart.

Apart from that, Bos like mentioned above gets the best out of your travel and is mind blowingly sensitive which helps with small bumps and trail chatter plus the added traction of course.

    Bigjim,

I’m more conservative in that I stick to a 26er full suss with 115mm-130mm rear/140mm front and built up to take a pounding.
    Think Blur 4x lines.

I wouldn’t allow myself to become a 160mm mincer ever!
I always found that 130mm’ish was enough for UK and that it’s better to use most if not all of that travel then you can say you appreciate it more.

There’s still some of us rockin’ the old skool 😉

Ok, so I live in quite a hilly area and most of it was flat for the direction on my route this time.

I just really want to now get on the fitness thing big time and finally lose the lard that I have become accustomed to (if that makes sense) and that I think I shall indeed sick to the 2:1 ratio. Running a Thunder Burt rear and a Racing Ralph front both in 2.1″ if that makes any difference.

Oh and Stu, for the record, Tescos decision to deploy a young lady about my age (just before the keep your eyes off your older to be her father comment imminently coming) offering free Martini and soda with a piece of lime was what did it, never thought of Martini as a drink for me, but on a Saturday shop for breakfast it was much welcomed.
Then she politely asked if we would be interested in purchasing a bottle for £8. I declined at the time but next week, it was far too tempting not to.

Anyway, I could of kept going had I had a banana and an extra bottle of water with me but house chores were beckoning. 🙄

The Q was mainly how many mph should I be realistically covering and yes I know it’s kind of individual to each person’s fitness levels.

Just wondering what kind of mph others are achieving out there on their 29er ss and if they smoke and are overweight too.
