Seems pricey to even crowd fund tbh.

I may sneek in over night and do some cheeky riding 😛

Maybe I cba but yes maybe I can, Mavic rims dent and buckle the hand built ones and the factory Deemaxs I had the new model ones the rear hub flange sheared in half rendering a useless wheel meaning off to warranty it went.

The fact that I dealt with Mavic directly on the warranty fix was accidental as they mistakenly thought I was a dealer.
They were good on the whole at a quick turneround mind though.

Plus their sp spokes seem to pop off at any given timing of a ride.
Not to mention the out right outrageous cost of a set.

I in capitals do not rate their products full stop.
There will be others that do of course.

Does that answer the cynicals out there… 🙄

Or a Panasonic, their soldering attempt is rubbish and thus disintegrates the chip thingy.

Amazeballs when it did work though but didn’t for long mind.

If you’re talking about getting a set of Mavics then NO, nothing can improve a shoddy part(s) like those where ever you seek help to rebuild.

I would highly recommend you throw them in the bin if Mavic, like right away, don’t find out the hard way. SERIOUSLY!

Try and find a tracer 2 or a spider 2, well worth having and can be had for cheap compared to new price.

Both my Intense frames came straight and true and none of this shoddy workmanship rubbish some queer folk throw out there even though they’ve never owned one.

Intense truly are very good frames and a good alternative to the common SC offerings in wicked painted colours and have come a long way especially with their new line up.
Plus their warranty (not that I know) has been improving big time so I read on PinkBike.

So all in all, ya gotta try vpp as fsr horstlink etc are dead feeling compared to vpp. Traction in a word!

STRANGE Bob, as all the RS forks I have ever had, I encountered the pissing oil in box new feature.

All Marzocchis for me have been faultless but my last set were 2004 mx comps.

Yeah I never once scratched my iphone 5 in the 2 1/2 yrs of ownership in a Tech 21 leather folding stand up case.

I did have a Griffin survivor but no one could hear me due to the cover so am surprised to hear what squaglybob is saying.

I’ll give it a try and see if it does the same as my old iphone 5 griffin did, if so then it’s off for a full refund, although if they’re anything as difficult getting a refund out of them like it is trying to speak to someone there, then that may prove difficult.

I also think I’ll try without the tempered glass at first at least so I can try out the defender for fit, hearing and talking performance.

Follow me I thought was pretty darn god if you haven’t seen it already.
Lifecycles was just ok, not bad mind though.
    Seasons iirc.
Whichever one is the one following Peaty’s career.

Also check out PinkBike for video releases etc and preview them to then search on Amazon to buy.

Ooooo I did telephone my home insurance provider but was £250 excess and maximum payout was £500 so no good!

Apple Icare+ seems expensive too but providing that I am taking good care and protecting it from the start with an Otterbox Defender case, I shouldn’t require (he hopes) insurance.

Can you please find out where he purchased his tempered glass protector and also if it can be used in conjunction with a case such as the defender.
I’m guessing that they are easy to install?

Hob Nob, which brands did you break?

Flow EX or any Stans rims for that matter are a very good option if funds don’t allow for carbon but having a set of carbon rimmed wheels does indeed feel and ride great now I tinkered with tyre pressures but I don’t run tubeless and am very much old skool.

My Intense is holding up fine and I look like that dude in the pic above.

    😛

It’s purely a faulty frame tolerance and does not reflect most SC frames like any other brand will have the odd faulty frame.

Better that than a recall for a completely shoddy design in the first place ala Cannonfail etc

bLOODy ‘ell, – POOR lad being accused of having stolen a bike without actually being accused.

Maybe he should write a topic on a forum online saying someone stole his hair.

I hear you loud and clear.

Evil following looks like the perfect bike for my needs in many ways (apart from actual looks obvs).

But I’d have to be bonkers to hand them that sort of money with their reputation for cracked frames and huge waits.

This plus I know of one with 20% off new price and it is new.
    N+1 😉 😆

Curtis for producing such quality frames and to custom order too but at a price of course.

Whyte for keeping up on trend but not liking their colour schemes on the frames.

Renthal for starting to make mtb products even if I haven’t tried them yet but know their hardware for motorbikes are good except the grips.

Superstar for failing to sell me a wheel set when I telephoned to order, basically not wanting business even though they needed it at the time. beats me 🙄

No I would say, my first and only trail centre I have ridden and it was dead boring.

Yeap, YP250R XMAX was and still is far superior to any Vespa or any other scooter model on the market apart from the TMAX but then again the TMAX weighs a ton and costs like £9k’ish new and that is mad for a scooter in anyone’s book.

If you buy the XMAX second hand and it’s the old one, make sure it has had the recall work done on the chassis and the alternator.
I remember having to charge on optimate the battery every week or two to keep it from going flat but then again, I live in a very hilly valley at the time.
Once I test ridden the XMAX 250, I shot back within about 3 mins to say yuup I’ll take it as it was so smooth and fast for what it was.
Just don’t forget it won’t grip like a motorbike and hug the ground like one nor will it brake like one 😳 😉

Oh and I had a Gilera scooter once, made by Piaggio group who make Vespa etc and they are completely shoddy and breakdown so wouldn’t be reliable for your commutes at all, especially in the winter coming months and that is from bitter experience I speaketh.

I’d rather punch myself in the balls.
On a more serious note, I found a proper 125 motorbike easier/nicer to ride.

    This^

Most definitely not this as they are highly restricted from factory and heavy and generally shite having had one as my first bike plus the gear box bloody ‘ell was clunky.

    if I did it again I’d get a DRZ400SM

If you have a license for a 250 then get a 250 motorbike of some description at least. It will grip better, actually get going and generally feel safer to ride than a 125, Yamaha YBR 250 would be a good bet, very comfortable ime.

I doubt OO could afford Marzocchi and even employ that amount of work force to pay etc.

A logistical nightmare, I mean come on be sensible now.

Mental supermotos are great especially using them for every day use ime.

But as mentioned above, something unpredictable is always lurking around the corner whether that be a car, horse etc or even shoddy build quality and dodgy FI in my case that left me retired just short of building up to nearly 5 years no claims.

I’d only ever bike off road in future, too many weapon cagers out there these days.

    AHHHHHH, GOTCHA!

Just found this which I kinda guessed but wanted to clarify with someone who has experienced just this type of scenario.

    TEXT BELOW:

Why is my withdrawal on hold?
    Print
Withdrawals can take anything from 2 – 72 hrs to complete through the PayPal system. Generally they will complete within 2 hours however we will occasionally hold a withdrawal for further review. To provide one of the safest online payment services our internal security system reviews every transaction before it’s released.
This type of review can happen for various reasons. For example, you may have received a higher-than-usual amount of money into your account, you may be logging in from an unsecure network or you may have made changes to your account profile recently.
Once our review has finished your withdrawal will show as ‘completed’ and will be processed to your bank account as long as the review did not turn up any issues.
