I remember having a certain branded ti hardtail with a 150mm head tube and it felt god aweful to steer, shame as it was the best floaty feeling ti feel from a frame I ever owned.
    sold!

Maybe if you are on the lookout for a dead handling frame with vague steering then I’m sure a custom ht or just scout round for xl sized full suss brands for around the 140mm-150mm length in the head tube dept.

Ok, thanks for that guys, will check out the Verderers first then.

Wasn’t too impressed by Haldon the other day tbh, my bros like it for a quick blast though as they live at bottom of hill.

sounds good FOD, as I am new to the trail centre scene.

Slight interuption here but can anyone say which trail to do first for someone new to FOD?

    How far is Verderers trail?

Are riders using elbow/arm pads for Verderers and Freeminers?

Also I’m guessing it’s well marked for the blue and red runs?

Nope, felt I might do ok to stick with the RPL for the meantime then opt for an inline when the Fox requires a service as they are non tuneable the RPL model.

that sounds bitchy, built up after a while of having them…! BS excuse on lbs part.

yes MAVIC rims are utter pants, even their DH wheels sheer off, their factory build are atrocious and ridiculously expensive for what they are.
Always had issues with Mavic rims etc.

I’ve been quietly impressed with my DT Swiss EXC rims but have yet to get proper air miles on them yet.
But initial reports are great if they can stand up to my weight then that’s mightily impressive.

If they’re anything like the Devilles for initial travel sensitivity and traction which I have owned for the last few days, then they will no doubt be absolutely mind blowing!

I hear what wrecker is voicing, he’s miffed and quite rightly should be that the frame brand has gone 650b without realizing that the 26ers they have already sold might need replacing therefore they should have held stock for warranty purposes.

oh and kept stock of the shocks to fit.

My Velvets were a fit and forget item and felt stiff and reasonably well damped, much impressed for the price.

I sold them thinking I was splitting the whole bike and having to give up biking for a while, have just installed the best forks ever (Bos Deville) and can confirm, if that they are the best forks ever ridden, and I dialled them in easily enough over 1 or 2 rides.

I would say go X-fusion then if you think try booking a test ride or try your mate’s other forks i.e. Pikes/36’s etc and if you feel the difference again then go for it.

IMO those of us that can feel the difference and know what they want from a fork and can afford the best, the BOS is worthwhile by a million miles.
Can you tell I am happy … 😀

No hora, I have done my research as trying to decide over a ccdb air inline or vipr.

I suppose you had a wealth of understanding your’s then having had it errr so long and test riding it properly then…!

I have same issue now with a 12yr old set of Dainese FR ones that produce a flesh like wound on one side around side of knee.

I’m going to try to get the good ol’ seamstress (aka mum) to take a look.
surprising what you can do with a set of pins, patches, velcro and stitching.

    jobs a goodun … errr here’s hoping.

Just fyi folks, the FOX hydration packs are poor as a product as the hose kinks meaning you have to stop riding and unkink to get any fluid running freely.

Have found Hydrapaks to be the best in the past for me.

I just now use bottles stored in pack, gives me good reason to slow down and stop to drink/rest.

I just purchased a new reverb my first dropper and opted for a rh lever as can be put under bars on left side good for us 1×10 riders or if you’re more modern and flush,, 1x11ers.

    shaaaawing!

I too have some new wheels which I tested out yesterday in carbon flavour and some new forks and a new dropper (my first) and was way more awe inspiring a ride than I thought it would be.

Gotta love a bit of CK, green would of been nicer as their green really screams pimp.

Am going to get this asap when they’re available as have been lusting over the coil versions for a while now.
Plus it will be a well worthy upgrade over a Fox RPL, please Ohlins, bring out the new air in 190×50.
