@chrisdw Mehteh is to replace the vulture frame… just for a change, that’s all

It is but despite that the mehteh would suit my needs better…

It’s a tough choice for sure
I love the vulture and have massive respect for Tim.
I was eagerly anticipating the warlock and I am still very tempted but…
I have just built up a rigid 29er for heavy duty Bikepacking, so after something for a racier (sort of) build and it looks like the mehteh might fit that bill a little better…
    Decisions decisions.

we never found anything last year and she’s still working with her islabike frame but it’s just not cutting the mustard anymore, time to try and find a solution again

On top of all the suggestions above… whether bikepacking or mountaineering, I always take cinnamon/raisin bagels (squashed flat), a lump of Parmesan, or other solid cheese and some olives
Calorie dense and feels like real food. I always look forward to it and use it as a reward for myself

Well… my 6 year old just used his birthday money to buy a WPL c24-1 (I’m gutted, as I wanted that one), so I have also ordered a MN 99sa.
Both from banggood, should be a good laugh when they arrive

@jamesfts where did you order your wpl c24 from?
I’m going to order one too but can’t find one that offers options

Can you actually get a serious(ish) rc car for £50 or so?
I’m guessing not and apologies if this has been discussed, there’s a lot of pages to scroll through on this thread!
My 6 year old has £50 in birthday cash from family and he wants to buy an rc car. He’s had a few generic cheapos and they are rubbish, don’t really work well, very short battery and break very quickly.

We’ve been watching vids on some traxxas models but I’m not giving him more money… that would be too easy

So, is there a car that everyone is amazed by around £50? I’m guessing not
    Cheers

Bugpowderdust… that’s amazing!!! It looks like a brilliant bit of kit.
I need to start keeping my eye out for an interesting frame!

Bugpowderdust… what is the bike in the second pic? That looks like the perfect bike for us!

Also the thorn kiddyback looks like an excellent option but the hase pino!! Wow, interesting, I would love to try one out, they look bonkers

Cheers… I use a towee (sort of thing) already but it’s not really suitable for what we have planned, a tandem would work much better for massive rides.
I’ll have a look for a roof bar setup!

I could do with having a look at a tandem in the flesh, or renting one for the day but guess that will have to wait at the moment

    Cheers for all the replies…
With regards bikepacking, I’m generally talking fast bikepacking and bikepacking racing, as opposed to touring, so something racy would be fine for me.
The lux is a good looking bike and an ok price, compared to some other in the class 😳

Cheers again everyone… aside from the annoyance of chipped paint on shiny a new thing, it’s a great looking frame and I’m pretty stoked to finally get one

I’d send it back but it’s taken me 3 months of faff and stress to get the thing and I’d have to send it back to Spain

I know, I’m not keen on paying my money to be a test pilot but my MacBook won’t turn on and even if can get it to work, it’s pretty knackered anyway. I have to replace it asap

I have a feeling I am going to struggle to get past the seduction of the shiny new M1 silicone, in the mbp.

+1 on the bogey sucker, so much fun
5.5yr old and a 2 year old here

As said before they are pretty tough things on the whole

We have never stopped getting outdoors and both have been out in all weathers, even when tiny.
Sleeping in tents and Campervans from a couple of months old and arguably, they seems mellower and more adaptable because of it.

Neither of us have been a fan of the buggy and both of ours hardly ever went in it. We always just used slings and baby carriers until they could go in a rucksack style carrier.
Less faff than buggies, easier to get around adventuring and good for your fitness, plus they love “hanging out“ on/with you

    Good luck, it’s flipping ace!

@lotto I run without a phone most of the time on short runs but Im often very remote and in pretty unforgiving terrain, so I’m starting to feel a bit irresponsible not having a safety line, with two small kids at home. Plus my wife is always giving me grief for leaving my phone at home

The evoc and omm ones are top of my list, along with the Nathan vaporkrar… good to hear that they work

Not keen on wearing a vest if I can help it, especially on short fast runs, fell runs etc.
I just find them restrictive and just too bulky and sweaty when I don’t need to carry water and stuff, fine on long runs where pace is slower and I need to carry more kit though

@scotroutes yep, my op was pretty vague
We just got talking, as Cornwal where we live, has gone mental and we are camping in the lakes at the moment and it seems to have gone equally mental.
We were looking at detached 4 bed family (interesting) houses, in awesome locations, where you can walk out the front door and get straight into the action. Seems like these places have gone bananas and you need to be bloody wealthy to live anywhere like that.
Even in the fantasy position of having £500k of debt free money, it seems like it would be bloody hard to find anywhere.
I haven’t looked that hard though!

@fog that’s interesting, I want nimble and rapid over tank like, as I’m more interested in long fast miles on techy terrain, than descending (although still want to be able to hammer descents!

@theghost… haha no thanks, I’m waiting for a nordest frame that may or may not ever turn up… useful communication has been slack, to say the least
