Cheers for that did not think of decals.

Funnily enough I have a couple of sheets and there is a potter in town.

    Looks like salads ftw then.

I guess just vary them with dressings and toppings to them.

Anyone know if the merlin OEM versions can have their teavel adjusted?

As the forks don’t mention all travel I’m not sure!

    Ok, bummer about needing springs.
I am borrowing some 100mm forks. So will see how that feels before purchasing
120mm. Although I may just grab the 120mm and run with a bit more sag.

Cool I’ll see if I can get one of those!

    Yes sorry seat stays!

It is the new frame, the rack was the tortec tour rear rack.

Arms are too long, could have drilled out the arms I guess.

    Ok,

Where the rack “arms” attach to the frame, the part just below the seat clamp.

As I said if I use the rack (tortes) with the arms not modifed the rack sits at 45 degrees!

So need suggestions for a rack which fits!

Had a hilly 13 mile commute each way with 2 nasty hills.
I was riding in 4 days out of 5.

Then decided that although I was doing it fairly quickly (55mins each way) I was a little knackered to ride at the weekend and was taking too much time away from my family.

So this year I am getting the train then 4 miles with the 25% climb 4 days, which in total takes 30 mins each way. However Fridays I mountain bike home for as long as I like and still get to enjoy riding at the weekend.

Ohhh very interested to see if Patriot will be re launched.

It was going to be the bike for my 30th(later this year) so was sorting out the funds accordingly. Then it was dropped!

Fingers crossed it will be back?

I’m fine with mine being public.

Also anyone got any substitutes for choc or biscuits at this time of the day?

I’ve had enough of ryvita rasin and pumpkin seeds!

    Cheers.

I was thinking about getting one of these, I wasn’t sure if it would be any good for the commute, from your post above people hear it, what about the car drivers though?

Sadly the last record shop died a couple of years ago.

RIP Longplayer, I used to spend ages in their just browsing whilst my SO was shopping. they had a great selection of all different types of CD, usually with great albums playing or showing on a massive screen.

The best bit was chatting to the guys in there saying “I like this album what else is worth a listen” etc.

There still is on record shop called Second Sounds which is pretty good, ther real bummer about Longplayer closing was that a few months later a new indy record shop opened elsewhere in the town!

Touching on the CDs also I love my CDs, art work having something to hold and the quality. So much so that I’ve gone back to a discman. MP3 for long car journey everything else, discman.

I have a collection of CDs that hold a lot of memories, and it’s not the same buying a CD on line.

Been using a Rocket HD(British version) with various blades.

    Thanks for the info.

The reason for the question is that I am led to belive that maxxis perform better than panaracer. I was looking into trying a set of maxxis for comparrision and wanted a tyre that performed in a similar manner to the xc hence the question.

So will maybe try either the advantage minion or the ignitor high roller option.

    Ok,

    perhaps this may help,

Ignitor XC or High Roller XC to replace fire XC

I was thinking of winding the forks down to 110 ish and just getting a bit fitter.

    With possibly some new tyres.

    Dainese,

I started with other ones, cheap veggie wraps, 661s etc ok for while but would never stay in place, not very comfortable and horrible to pedal with.

Tried on a set of Dainese in lbs and saw the light, then saw the price tag and started to cry.
Eventually got a set on here.

Dainese expensive but worth it, plus if things get steeper and steeper these should stay with you.
