Can’t add much other than another vote for K A Stroud.

    I found:

    Mathematics For Engineers

    An interactive approach

    Anthony Croft and Robert Davison

    Very useful.

Perhaps check out some of the big fpga websites for dsp app notes.  xilinx for example.  Microchip might also have some stuff.

    Cheers for those.

Settled on one called Complex Timer.

Watched it again recently and agree that it’s great. Not only a great bit if cinema.

Only just realised why Mia Wallace overdosed because she mistook Vicente stash.

One of the best soundtracks for a film

Didn’t rate JB, really really like True Romance. Gary Oldman is brill Brad Pitts first film iirc.

Enjoying the break here too. Not ridden since before Christmas. Might go for blast tomorrow. Toying with the idea of turbo training again.

Age is partly to blame. As is getting used to staying in. Just need to get out on my bike. CX SS might be the answer for me I think.

Discovered the short cuts for questions and to do.

LittleNose I was the same until recently. One concern was lab notes/testing/minutes or notes from meetings. Which will be easily addressed by using s rig bound note book which I’ll scan the pages in. Convert to text then destroy the paper copy.

Also not sure if anyonelse has dobe this but I’ve added a squared background to my pages.

How do you search for questions or to do list (added using ctrl+1) though?

    Lense looks good.

The suggestion for reviewing is good also.

Can anyone point out how archiving works on OneNote.

Nope no freebie. So have to get separately.

Different author. However as you’ve used the Vertebrate book a I’ll give that one a go.

    Love the sloth.

Been MEGA busy at work so need to make time to draw, repair bikes, ride bikes. . .

Been a bit lax lately but will do some more.

I have a question about rotrings. Do you need to keep the vertical when drawing or can they be held at an angle off 90?

Another AKG451 fab here ( for office use)

Grado sr60 if you want to be antisocial whilst travelling.

If you’re happy with the AKGs why not just replace with the same?

    It’s the last day.

I’ve got a few to add in whilst still deciding what to do for the last one.

    Fishy:

Not happy with the next one instead of shading I’ve managed to turn stubble into a beard:

Which lead onto this one (inspired by someone else’s efforts on the interwebs):

Then this one (a copy from a bottle):

Really enjoyed October. I should really get a rubber to remove the construction lines! Maybe next year ;-p

Anyone else fancy just keeping this thread going for general drawing/arty postings?

32 pages still no closer to resolving the issue.

Will someone please think of the children.

Difficult to side with one person.

Perhaps as it’s a bit murky in terms of who said what, as grown adults they could reach an agreement out of court.

For example agree to pay the reasonable costs over a few months thereby minimising financial burden to the OP. Both agree to disagree and reach a settlement both accept.

Otherwise I can see it just carrying on mud slinging all the way to court.

I think aggrieved parties should settle their differences in the ling.

I get the feeling this thread might get locked soon.

I guess if it goes down, it’ll go down in a ling of fire.

I’d love to read more but I’ve got to go and answer my phone it won’t stop linging. . .

Wow what thread. I thought this would eclipse Picolax.

Sadly it seems to me that after 18 pages the OP and business owner are just trying to run lings round each other.

    Red Thunder really like that.

To the person who is doing the Peaky Blinder portraits, you can see the progress.

For anyone doing portraits there are some rules, for the size and proportions of a face I’ll try and do a couple of sketches to show said tips, as I can’t remember them now but will once I have paper in front of me.

Here’s a few of my offerings:

    and

I think I need to remove my under drawing lines. Also maybe spend a bit more time on a drawing rather than smash them out in 10 or so mins :-/

One of the things that that I’ve discovered is that (as someone else said) it’s fine to fail. What’s the worst that will happen. 17 years ago I’d throw it away if it was not perfect. Now I’m keeping hold of them.

Also ink has helped me be more confident and bold, to just go for it.
So with that in mind here is todays effort. Again really rough under draw then I tried with the approach of less is more here is the result of about 30 mins work:

    Loving the chess piece.

Definitely enjoying this. To keep on track I threw this one together:
Very quick, every roses has its thorn. . .

As I mentioned I tried my first hand at Hellboy. Using someone elses picture as inspiration, can’t find the link on the laptop. This is my 1st Hellboy:

Finally I was inspired to try a portrait:

It’s a bit tricky doing a portrait in ink, I’m getting more confident with it though.

Keep it up peeps almost half way!

    Cool stuff.

Missed out last night but did a second skull after the first which shows improvement.

Then on Wednesday remembered seeing someone drawing a load of paper planes, so I can’t take credit for the idea, but I came up with this:

Couple of smudges due to it still being wet, and I’ve coloured in the back ground. So may do another one but take my time and not smudge it.

This evening I may give Hellboy a go as I’ve never drawn him either. Although loving Marv, so might give something from Sin City a try. . .

Yeah just use another prompt list if one doesn’t suit.

    Like the pixie.

    Here is mine for today:

Quite chuffed with it as my daughter walked up and said that’s iron man isn’t it! (Forgive the blurred picture and bleed through from previous day!)

Looking good people. Keep it up, great to see people having a go who’ve never done it before, or trying new things.

I’ve moved away from my trusty dip pen and grabbed a brush.
    The result being this:

Quickly underdrawn with pencil, then attacked with india ink and water. I forgot to begin with that india ink is waterproof so blending is a bit tricky (compared to water colour).

Enjoyed it though, also realised that pros use shorter brushes!

Thought I should post some of my efforts.

Thing that I’ve realised pretty quickly, that I don’t have the same skills now that I used to have when I was drawing everyday (around 15 years ago. Also my hand gets tired now, no stamina.

Now though being older and wiser I just enjoy it.

    Looks good everyone, keep going!

Here are some of mine first one:

I’m using dip pen and India ink.

Just done a quick drawing of Morty with his eyes being opened by Rick. Due to a friend doing s pic of Rick so I ignored the prompt for today!

It’s been many many years since I’ve drawn anything and my attempt shows.

Might just put the first pic and final pic up to this thread. Weekdays will do dip pen in my lunch break weekends might use a brush.

Who knows, forgot how much I enjoy mood of myself in art for a little while.

Loads around on evilbay and hold value to if not for you just put it back on the bay. Not sure what your budget is. 51 around 40 quid.

To the rest of the tread I love Viscontti Van Rough but can’t justify it.
