Only used the shop but very helpful and genuinely enthusiastic about bikes.

Had a wheel built at Quest in Worthing which is holding up well. Can’t remember the exact cost but think it was in the region of £30.

Have you tried Rayment cycles in Brighton? Had a pair of forks serviced and they were considerably cheaper than anywhere else so might be worth a call.

Best of luck to you and if you can find a way to tap the summer traffic jam for trade you should be onto a winner.

I have one and would say I hope you don’t suffer from a bad back as the ride is firm but they are very good fun to drive.

Can’t say what rack to use as just dropped the seats and put the bike in the boot.

Paint a photorealistic impression of the gates of hell inside your bin. Then when the culprit looks inside the fear of being sucked into the ‘portal’ should put them off.

Tend to follow the bung it in approach but generally follows these lines.

Brown braising steak off and put in slow cooker.
Deglaze pan with red wine and put juices in slow cooker.
Soften a couple of onions and put in slow cooker.
Chop veg (tend to use carrot and maybe a swede)
Add some beef stock and red wine (it doesn’t want to be too liquid as will retain moisture)
Big blob of horseradish and dash of mustard
    Splash of Henderson’s relish
    Salt and pepper

Live to simmer for 7 or 8 hours

Thanks for all your help so far as you might of guessed am a numpty at these sort of things.

You have to enter a username and password on the modem so not sure if this is PPoE or PPoA

There is an option on the modem to turn off DHCP and manually assign IPs to connected devices (this would be the airport?) If I set this to no would the airport then distribute IP’s to the connected computers?

It’s an old school wired modem so connected to the airport using an ethernet cable into the WAN socket.

For some ideas on pubs take a look at http://www.fancyapint.co.uk

Food wise if you like mexican Wahaca (Covent Garden or Wardour St) is reasonable and you don’t need to book.

Davy’s do a pretty passable house red and white that aren’t too heavy and (www.davy.co.uk) and they deliver across the UK.

The Doris’s sister had it at her wedding and there weren’t any complaints although that could have been the quantity.

Chromag Aperture or Stylus might be worth a look. Think shorelines have the Aperture frames discounted at the moment.

Really depends on what you are after.

Diverse Vinyl (www.diversevinyl.com) has a wide selection but have found prices are a bit on the high side.

Rockbox and PIccadilly records are also worth a look as can be quite a bit cheaper than Diverse.

For new releases Amazon can be a lot cheaper than other places.

For second hand stuff Discogs is worth a look.

where to cycle from Abbey Wood?

    Anywhere!

If you get to Greenwich Pier you can take the foot tunnel under the thames and then follow the Thames path through the Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf, Limehouse, Wapping, across Tower Bridge and then Shad Thames, Rotherhithe back to Greenwich.

You could also extend the route into central London.

Not sure if I’d want to cycle around Abbey Wood but I’m a middle class whiney cockbag.

The area around Bank is worth a look with Leadenhall market and the Lloyds building being close.

Also within easy walk from there you have London bridge (Borough market, HMS belfast etc)

Not sure if you want to go that far west but Exhibition road in South Ken has the big museums (V&A, Nat History) that are pretty impressive.

Failing that a wander round Greenwich should give plenty of opportunities.

Just checked in ‘the curry secret’ and it looks as if you pre heat the dish so its sizzling hot (about five minutes)

Then take off heat and add sliced onion.

Put already cooked chicken on top of onion and add melted ghee (1tbsp) onto side of dish.

Then squirt of lemon juice onto the onions for extra sizzle.

Could be because burgers are thinner than a good meaty sausage so the centre of the burger would defrost and cook before the outside becomes ash. Whereas a sausage would remain uncooked in the middle and napalmed on the outside.

No doubt someone who actually knows the truth will be along shortly.
