Terbinefine +1
I had a grim nail that was infected too deeply for the surface treatments. You have to persevere diligently because it takes a while but excellent results after a few weeks. I saw a healthy line start growing from the cuticle out and it took a good 10 weeks in the end but well worth it and properly sorted.
hmanchesterFree MemberI drank for the first time on Saturday since August ’11 because I lost a bet. Didn’t add anything to the night and wrote the day after off.
Back to not drinking again for a far better net result at life.
hmanchesterFree MemberThere are loads of other girls / women out there.
My advice would be to lose the fixation on this one and get yourself out there. Peversely this will also make you far more attractive to her as well. Win win.
You’re acting like the gay best friend who’s “always there for her” and being treated like one.
hmanchesterFree MemberStart with a book and lots of hands at a comfortable level. Harrington on Cash Games is a good place to begin.
As for making serious cash…. It used to be a lot easier but the average player has gotten a lot better and the amount of regs (Regulars who are there purely to make cash) make things a lot harder. To make a reasonable hourly rate you’re either multi tabling like crazy at the micro stakes or having to seriously increase your skill level at higher stakes.
A few crap players, lots of good players playing 24 tables,
Also poker isn’t gambling. It’s a game of skill with a random element (much like every sport, rugby ball anyone?)
hmanchesterFree MemberTK Maxx. I picked up a very smart but understated Osprey one there for 12 quid that will do me for a few years.
Or a Billabong type velcro one if you’re out biking or are 13 years old.
hmanchesterFree MemberI went out with a girl who wanted me to have one. It was post uni and even though I had no symptoms I went along with it as it wasn’t the worst idea ever.
I got the results by text and was a bit disappointed when I changed phones as a “100% disease free” message from the NHS could raise a chuckle at the right moment.
hmanchesterFree MemberIf there were any solid independent double blind studies that proved a difference between standard quality and uber high quality cables I’m sure it would be to the forefront of any manufacturer advertising. It’s not because there aren’t any. For me case closed.
hmanchesterFree MemberDiet alteration first. This book above is a great starting point. Your doctor is likely to take you down the high carb low fat route which is a massive error in my opinion, do some research on this….
Statins if diet alone doesn’t rein things in.
Good luck!
hmanchesterFree MemberTrousers, shoes and collar so polos, chinos, etc are acceptable.
But they look very average! Suit, no jacket for me. So essentially smart wool trews, matching shoes, good shirt.
We have this where I work and you have the polo shirt brigade who push the (well it’s got a a collar so it fits the rules) and then you have the people who are taken seriously brigade. The slightly smarter end of the range is the place to occupy for me.
hmanchesterFree MemberI’m watching the Miley Cyrus guy now on +1. Proper crazy.
It’s the way he has the combination of fairly normal calm sounding first impression followed by total bonkers obsessive weirdness. What a guy!
hmanchesterFree MemberBut then you’d actually have a Mac.
The downside is speed. Microsoft Security Essentials on its own is fine.
hmanchesterFree MemberMilk has more sugars in it than anything else so something like no sugar almond milk is a great alternative.
I make my own for a fraction of the cost. Tablespoon of un roasted almond Butter from bulkpowders, teaspoon of splenda and a few drops of vanilla essence/flavouring all in a blender with a pint of water. 20 seconds start to finish. Mmmmmmmmn.
hmanchesterFree MemberNot as many as Mr Akabusi and his finely polished onyx chassis. Awooga.
hmanchesterFree MemberBig bag of frozen mixed chopped peppers here. Easy, cheap and probably fresher than fresh (if that makes sense).
hmanchesterFree MemberThat’s pretty shocking. Everyone makes mistakes but at least admit and apologise…
Funnily enough the garage I use is in Cheadle. All word of mouth kind of place, but super honest and has fixed my focus with a couple of tweaks and patch ups when he could have charged me for a anything. Came recommended to me as well and have always done the same happily.
hmanchesterFree MemberWrecker, yes absolutely leg press, along with the other things suggested.
Heavy weights and compound movements will make you stronger and healthier. Your diet on top of this will dictate whether you will put on muscle, lean out, etc.
hmanchesterFree MemberSo you gave us little information, took it badly when we then made assumptions, then did your own thing anyway.
Why did you post in the first place?
hmanchesterFree MemberI’ve got one of those 60 led beasties that jairaj has for my garage. Simple cheap, easy and bright. If you need more light then get more than one.
hmanchesterFree MemberThe high reps is good for fat loss and ‘toning’ thinking is best left in the 1990s!
Get strong, build muscle, reduce body fat through diet and other lifestyle factors.
Dumbells for compound movements such has bench press the shoulder press, bent over rows.
ZBodyweight stuff such as inverted rows, chin ups, glute ham raises.
Legs and posterior chain are the hardest without a barbell so maybe sub in some machine leg press type stuff with some dumbell lunges, box jumps, pistol squats, goblet squats.
I started with only dumbells and progressed well before getting a full olympic setup. Just don’t be THAT guy y who spends his time doing endless lat raises and medicine ball bench presses with the 6kg dbs in search of toning. Not only will you look like a tool, more importantly you will be wasting time and effort!
hmanchesterFree MemberI have 3 good A-levels, a degree, a masters and I got pretty much zero of those questions.
Hand on heart how many would you have got?
Ps. Is your lack of grammar ironic or because your education didn’t cost 150k?
hmanchesterFree MemberI’m going to watch the programme first then comment on it’s contents. Call me old fashioned.
hmanchesterFree MemberSome good recommendations there, I’ll give them a whirl.
Also on my list are:
Robb Wolf Paleo Solution
Revolution health radio
Strength Coach Podcast
Science Friday
Naked scientistshmanchesterFree MemberCynic Al:
Powdered whey and oats are cheap, convenient and highly effective foods/supplements. They allow the body to build muscle when combined with the right resistance exercise.
If you can get all your nutrition from whole foods then great. If it’s easier to supplement your diet to get to where it needs to be taking into account your limitations (time, price, taste, convenience) then go for it.
Jonny m:
Milk has more sugars in it than protein. Ok as part of your diet but far from ideal for providing a big chunk of your protein. Whey is just milk with most of the sugar and fats removed.
Tinned tuna. Ethical fishing issues, food mile issues, heavy metal issues, taste issues.
Steak : amazing food. £15 a kg min. Great source of creatine.
hmanchesterFree MemberI’m that case keep it simple and just go for the plain whey and some ultra fine oats.
Stick these in a blender with whole milk, bananas, full fat yoghurt, frozen berries, cocoa powder, whatever to bump your daily protein, fat and carb intake up. Somewhere between 1-1.5g protein per lb bodyweight per day in total.
Go for a routine based on big and heavy compound lifts like Rippetoes Starting Strength or Wendler 531.
It’s suprisingly easy to put on quality muscle if you’re committed and organised.
Have fun and SQUAT.
.hmanchesterFree MemberMyprotein or bulkpowders, both great value with small price differences between them.
I’ve always had excellent service from MP so I use their price matcher and get the cheapest prices from both sites.
Unflavoured impact whey 5kg should be first on your list, but that’s a whole other thread!
hmanchesterFree MemberDiet then exercise. And by exercise, not cardio.
Steady state cardio exercise is the most effective non surgical or pharmaceutical gender reassignment therapy available for men.
hmanchesterFree MemberI’m a recently single man in Manchester and it’s far from being a pain.
With Internet dating, even free with POF, you can line up as many dates as you want. Just be normal and not fake/needy/topless in your photo/boring etc, go for a drink, and then it’s in your own hands.
Same thing not on the Web. Ask people out, ask friends to set you up (which is always fun), or talk to people on a night out/whatever social occasion.
Without trying to sound arrogant, and failing, it’s not hard. There are loads of great single people out there, you just need to go for it.
hmanchesterFree MemberIf you really want to buy them then look at the Myprotein ones.
Very simple to make thought and many recipes don’t even need baking. They are a fraction of the cost and are normally more effective (a lot of bars include a lot of non usable protein that looks good on the label but is pointless) and made to measure.
Some of combination of whey protein powder, oats, nut butters and oils, fruit and fruit juice. Google is your friend and you’ll find some good recipes on some on the Web.
hmanchesterFree MemberIgnore the 3 or 5kg tosh, way too light.
“Toning” is a function of two things: increased muscle mass and reduced fat. It’s not achieved by doing high reps with a lighter weight, instead of lower reps with a heavier weight. That’s an assumption best left in the 90s.
As heavy as you can go with 100% correct form, work hard, progress. This will take care of the increased strength/muscle mass part.
A good diet sorts out the reduced fat bit.
Good luck!
hmanchesterFree MemberI have to question the motives of that article! I’m not sure highly processed sugar laden snack bars are the answer.
Monkeychld, I’d consider having a liquidised, so very quick digesting, meal before you go out training. Something like oats, milk, banana, protein powder, etc whizzed up and boshed first thing. I don’t feel like eating loads in the morning, but drinking a shake like this is easy.
hmanchesterFree MemberYou’ve got a decent bike so any upgrades are going to be either:
1) small upgrades for a very marginal,if any, gain, eg carbon bars.
2) fancy upgrades which would be pricey, a bit out of place on the bike – what I mean is you’d be better off saving your pennies and just get a better overall bike.I’d go for riding it a lot (which sounds like you do) and go for quality but value components as things wear out.
If you really want to spend your money maybe some fancy riding gear, eg gloves, helmet, shorts which you’ll keep between bikes. Or some tech like a hrm or gps, etc.
hmanchesterFree MemberPutting the moral argument to the side for a moment…
Bannatynes has sold this outstanding debt to a debt recovering company for a fraction of the amount of the £80. This company will now start sending all sorts of letters threatening the world in order to try and get people to pay up.
Some will, some won’t, but for £80 this company will simply be hoping that enough people do pay up overall to make a profit. At the £80 level ignore completely the letters and they will go away. Eventually.
