Ugh, drives me mad, i cant ride my local woods anymore, i get dog ship on my bike every time.
And why do some of them tie it in the branches of the trees? Are they trying to get us in the face??? If you have bothered to pick up a steaming turd and tie a knot in tha bag why not carry it to the bins that are by most gates?

Slightly off topic, i run 2.3 black chilli barons and they are amazing, i dont understand how they are so fast but they are! i much prefer them to the rubber queens,

I bought a set of 2012 crossmax st 2 weeks ago, bloody love ’em.
Light, strong, fast pick up, look awesome and sound better than hopes imo. Paid £550 ish from crc, really have made my bike feel very agile and responsive. The st’s are what mavic call their all mountain wheels, the sx are slightly heavyer and wider, more aimed at freeriding and enduros.

love the middle all mountain one, I’ve always wondered why nobody makes something like that, your head is a very valuable part of your body, people will drop loads of cash on bling bike parts but when it comes to purchasing a helmet anything over 70 quid is a bit pricey. if i could try one of the above on and the fit was good it buy it no second thoughts. I’ve had helmets save me many many times over the years.

Not eating for long periods of time will cause your body to go into a sort of starvation mode, body fat is your bodys emergency supply of food and if it thinks your not eating it will hold onto that fat.
Muscle is whats easiest for your body to burn for energy, thats why body builders eat/drink protein last thing before sleep and first thing in the morning , it prevents catabolism which is the body breaking down muscle tissue for fuel, the best way to combat this is to eat small meals often so rather than 3 good meals a day make it 6 small ones. Your body recognises there is a good steady intake of calories and that it probably wont need to cling onto bodyfat, so it raises the metabolic level and starts burning it for energy. For weight loss aim for around 2000 calories per day, try to get around half of that from protein a quarter from carbs and the last quarter from heathly oils and fats.
But 2 pounds a week is excellent weight loss, depending on how much there is to lose, if there was about a stone to lose you cant really do much better than 1 pound.

+1 I love my the ones, had a couple of$hit rides with them lately and started looking at XTR brakes, dropped some new pads in on a whim and they were instantly transformed back to their former glory! you have so much control with them.

Do you have the FCS system fitted to yours? what exactly does it do, is it a form of pad contact adjustment?

The only complaint i have with mine is they are so difficult to set up the calliper position without having the slightest shim shim shim.

Ive got a peugeot partner and i cant get my bike in with the wheels on! I even had to cut the bottom couple of inches of my seat post so i could drop it right down to get it in ive got a trek remedy, size 17.5″, i can get my wifes bike in with just the front wheel in, shes got a specialized myka, the sooner i get my pick up mot’d the better 😥

I got a gopro for xmas, and i love it, it takes stills, it will take stills on a timer so you can get yourself in the shot and it takes time lapse stills its really easy to use and they do loads and loads of mounts, i mig be a bit biased because ive never used a contour buy as far as I’m concerned gopro is the original and always the one the others are trying to beat/replicate.
Bit of a sh***er about the burglary though! 🙁

Ok so im looking at mavic crossmax st wheelset which is obviously ust, so would i be able to run a tubeless ready fat albert on that with some sealant or should i pay a weight penalty of about 500g and put the ust fat alberts on there?

completely snapped my acl, tore most of the way through my mcl and fractured both sides of the knee joint racing motocross, i had a full acl reconstruction using my hamstrings, i have full range of motion and no problems since the operation.
Physio is a pita but make sure you do as your told and really work at it and you’ll have no problems. ask youre physio how hard you can work it and do just that no more no less,i lost huge amounts of muscle from my left leg but did everything i was told as much as i was allowed and my doctor was amazed at how quickly i came back.
My dad shattered his wrist and needed an external frame to set the joint for 3 months but when he was allowed to train again he really worked it hard, his friend had an identical incident and didnt work it hard because it made it hurt and ache. my dad has full ROM his friend has about 40%.

When i was 17 i used to gaffa tape my mtb to the side of my yamaha DT 125, with the wheels tied to my rucksack, right hand corners were awkward as the forks would rub the road 😆

i use the viewranger app and i love it, i highlight my route on an os map and also plot the route on the app, i leave my iphone in my pocket with the app open but the screen locked and just check it for my exact location at tricky junctions, battery lasts me a good 4/5 hours or more, turn the screen brightness down etc etc.

i had this problem earlier this year, it was my front wheel turned out to be spoke tension, took me ages to track it down, i just went round each wheel and gave each spoke about an eighth of a turn before every ride, it took a couple of weeks before it settled down not had a problem since. of course it could be something completely different for you but thats what my irritating occasional click was. hope you find it!!

LOVE; Fox clothing i have been drawn to it for as long as i remember, i used to wear it the years i raced moto cross, and i still wear it now, it allways fits right is allways comfortable and just never seems to wear out.

HATE; Microsoft its just so poo, you have to be an absolute nerd to achieve anything with it and all the people that know how group together and snigger like supierior beings, when theyre not they just have spent too much time in front of their screens jerking off and learning how to erase their history correctly. Oh and the fact that microsoft seem to constantly be releasing “new features” and bragging about them when apple have had them for years. 😮

I started using it recently and really thought it worked well, the can will last ages im sure. It reduces stiction for sure makes your whole ride feel nice and supple and buttery.

Nike have just released an thier range of all conditions gear trainers and they look pretty good, not sure how weatherproof they are, but they are high top flat soled. Maybe i’ll go look into them a bit more now, where does that guy get his ideas from that people riding flats are usually fat trail center types? Ive riden bikes my whole life on flats and have never been fat and i dont car much for trail centers either, just because im not squeezed into a goretex breathable triple layer seam taped spd pit vented condom doesnt mean im less of a effin rider than the next person, if i bought a 6 grand carbon road bike id put flats on that too

I ride 2 to 3 times a week, not touched my forks since new in march and have no problems, used juice lubes fork juice on my my float 32’s and rp2 shock for the first time last week and it felt SOOOO good so smooth and stiction free, i am going to strip them down and service them over xmas and fit the low friction seals. Might try out the air can volume tuning kit on the shock too.
