I don’t, the roads just don’t appeal to me, anytime I’m on the road and I hear a car coming behind I’m wincing the whole time, they leave you no space at all.

2012 model, 6 months old ride 2/3 times a week with no problems, I had a hard crash otb a few weeks back the bike came down on the back of the saddle shoving it right forward in the posts clamp and bending the seat rails, didn’t bother the reverb at all.
Building a hardtail over the next few months and I might put a fox doss on it instead, I like the idea of the two stage drop it offers.

That torx screw is for bleeding, the one for reach adjust is in a slot on the front of the lever inside your inside braking finger if you put an allen key in it it would point almost straight forwards

local trek dealer? i went into mine looking to upgrade my 2011 rear end to a maxle the same as the 2012 model and they rang trek direct and were able to source all the parts individually.

guessing they could do the same for you?? hope this helps i know it can be a real pain trying to source obscure bits like that

Boba fatt, what leads you to the conclusion that the people in the banner at the top are douchbags? Just curious on that one.

But your bang on with your other comment there are some dickhead cyclists out there that give the majority a bad name just like there are with all groups.

Personally I don’t see any reason why cyclists shouldn’t be allowed on the roads, and if your riding your bike sensibly I don’t see any reason you shouldn’t ride on the pavement. My wife always hated cyclists on the pavement until she started riding about 18 months ago, now she sees how frightening it can be to ride on the road thanks to lack of respect from some road users, but then again she’s also been forced off the trail by dickhead cyclists a few times as well, I find that one the most irritating.

I just struggle to understand some people’s logic, I’m always surprised when I hear people talk about trying to find a cure for homosexuality, or when people are racist, maybe I’m just being naivé to think that people should be allowed to get on with their lives in anyway they want to.

i serviced mine myself and decided it would be easier to replace the fluid through the bottom, but when i stood my bike the right way up and pushed down on the forks it blew my seals off and all the fluid out of the top. DOH!! emptied them all out cleaned them all up again and did it the right way everything was fine, lesson learned!!

I’ve got some the ones, had them just over a year cut the hose length down twice and still haven’t needed to bleed them, i run a 180 rotor front and a 160 rear plenty of power and infinite modulation with only one finger braking. And they dont grab or snatch like my old hope brakes (though to be fair they were OLD hope brakes so not comparing apples with apples)

I found there was very little grease in mine from new so i used the syringe to pump a load more in from new. Then pumped a bit more in every time they sounded a bit dry or rattly

ODI troy lee grips, i bought mine on recommendation and though they looked like they would be gash but i love ’em.
Really comfortable and they provide so much grip its silly, and my hands dont feel sore after about 10k like they always have done with other grips.

I was lucky enough to be given 3 boxes of new carpet tiles from some offices that were being refurbed and were no longer needed. Easy to lay, and very hard wearing, when they get a bit grubby i give them a good sweep with a stiff yard brush then a vacuum and they come up a treat.

Sometimes being a tradesman is great, for my workshop i have been given by my customers, my carpet tiles, enough plasterboard to board the entire ceiling, an £80 length of worktop, some light fittings, a gallon of white paint and some shleving!

Two broken wrists!! Really does enforce the old saying that there is all ways someone worse off than yourself.

I know racing is a pro’s livelihood but i suppose my point is riding is what they love and when they’re are healed they can get back down to riding fast and hard. When we heal we start looking at the big jumps, gaps, black sections and wondering if its worth it? I’d quite happily go back to the jumps i did it on and have another have another run at them but how many times will my boss accept that accidents do happen if they’re as avoidable as not going dirt jumping.

Did you find your t bones went through a bit of a bedding in phase? I’ve had shed loads of pads of all different varieties over the years and I’ve never put a pair on that felt this weird. my kyle straits were sweet from day one i just find they pinch the back of my knees towards the end of a long ride

I bought a size large as specified on troy lees website and as it turns out the top of the sleeve is tight round my thigh and the bottom sit baggy round my calf, if i tighten it up with the strap it bunches it all up. Going a size either way will definately make them worse.

And yes i figured the padding was there to protect me in a crash (took me a long time though) but seriously they dont bend.

If they feel crap standing up im pretty sure they’ll feel crapper on a ride and then I’m £50 down as i wont be able to return them. 😕

Heels down, chin up, weight back and let the bike move underneath you, and control your speed.

Above picture of sunline bars surprises me, i’ve never seen carbon anything snap like that, it looks like a clean break whereas you normally see it just go kind of soggy but still attatched if you know what i mean,, the resin breaks but the fibres still run through

Not competed on it yet but this is my build so far, only things I’ve still to change for an event is 34 tooth up front instead on my current 32, a dhx air rear shock, and I’m ordering a reverb post this weekend.

Considering doing the mega on it next year, I’ll put crossmax sx’s and some float 36’s.

I had the same problem, i had the chainring the wrong way round, i think one specific side of it has slight recesses for the bolts to sit in. Hope that cures it 8)
