Any chance of getting the BFPO delivery problem sorted?

    Cheers

I have been told that recently CRC changed their contractor for parcel distribution, in the past I had no issues with delivery times, now I am unable to get anything from them as the contractor is unable to process packages with a British Forces Post Office address (I am currently serving overseas). I am surprised by this as all other internet companies I have used have managed to send me parcels, they are only charged at UK rates so there is no difference in postage costs, has something changed as I am now missing out on shiny things for my bike!

    Drac,

As Dad's Army is not on the list then that list should be stricken from the records.

It is all down to maths and the formula N+1, N = the number of bikes you have now, +1 is the new one you need. The formula has been proven numerous times, don't fight the urge, it is all down to very complicated maths stuff

Try the snow, freezing limbs and a dirty bike afterwards but well worth it, especially if you get home after staying upright for the whole ride.

Action Man with the parachute, although it got taken off me when my Mum caught me trying to put the parachute on my younger brother next to an open bedroom window. Also the Chopper was tops.

Holland where hardly anyone wears a helmet has a lower risk of head injury per mile cycled than the UK

I live in Holland and it is poles apart from the UK, drivers have respect for cyclists, their version of the Highway Code is completely different, the cyclist has primacy, if one gets knocked off it is the drivers fault, unless it was due to some extreme stupidity of the rider. Using Holland as an example is like comparing apples with underpants!

Lots of contact e-mails on their website (if it is the guilty party), it would be a shame if they started getting loads of spam. Don't get mad, get even………….

Is Bananaworld a forum policeman, or, have they just had a bump to the head and think they are?

Wear one all the time now on both road/off road, after a friend of a friend got knocked off and now needs to be fed, possibly could have got away with it if he had been wearing a helmet.

Got the mag here, which route are you after? Can't see Black Sail Pass on any, although I've not got my glasses on and I'm also trying to watch Dad's Army again! Routes listed are:
    Hebden Bridge
    Moel Famau
    Two Moors Way, Exmoor
    Helvellyn, the Lakes
Let me know if any are correct, scanner standing by.

Same size as you, I got a pair of Briko w'proofs, fit perfectly. Zips up to your hips so that you can get them on/off easily, tension straps on calfs and ankles to stop them flapping around, did have elastic braces on but I cut them off. Ridden in them down to -19 on my daily commute, had them for over a year and still no sign of wear, only downside was that they were about 65 quid, but then quality costs!

As someone who was affected by what happened at the weekend, I think the media did not cover the story enough. I spent 20 hours on Sat/Sun trying to get through the Tunnel, 8 hours sat stationary on the M20, another 6 hours at the Eurotunnel Terminal waiting for a crossing. Throughout the whole period there was little/no information on what was happening. We spent 2 hours in a queue at the Burger King at Eurotunnel, as all the other food outlets had closed as it was late in the evening; "Queue Rage" reared its head a few times with parents trying to get something to eat for small children who couldn't understand why they had to wait hours for food. The whole thing was a shambles, dot matrix signs on the motorway just stated that the Eurotunnel exit was closed, no further information as to when things were expected to improve, no indication that the motorway was gridlocked. We flew past an exit to be confronted by stationary traffic around the corner, no chance to get off and only adding to the traffic, this was a considerable distance from the closed exit. The Police maintained a very low profile, they turned people back who tried to reverse up the entry slip roads, when it was patently obvious that no one would try to use the junction to join the motorway, many would have gladly turned around and gone home if they could have been allowed to do so. Media reports only talked about Eurostar delays/cancellations and that Eurotunnel was experiencing some delays, not that half of Kent was gridlocked.
I realise that the action (or in-action) of the Immigrations Service at Calais, along with the Eurostar woes, produced a situation of almost total closure, but information was so very limited as to what was happening if you were already stuck in the jam.

    Unrepresentative, unbalanced cr*p.

I'm from "Oop North" I think your comment is complete ar#e, go and put one of your "Take the High Road" vids and get back in your hole. If you want to start rebuilding Hadrians Wall, I'll give you a hand, I'll just be building it from the south side to wall in narrow minded troglodites such as yourself in.

Got both, but prefer the HT, even with a dodgy back. You can't have enough bikes, stop dithering and get buying, you know it makes sense!

+2 for the Pure, if you can stretch the budget, have a look at the Pure Evoke Flow. Top kit that does FM, DAB and WiFi so that you can stream live from the internet, highly recommended.

XT, you might be correct about the O2 Arena, I was talking about the Millennium Dome

According to the UK National Audit Office, the total cost of The Dome at the liquidation of the New Millennium Experience Company in 2002 was £789 million, of which £628 million was covered by National Lottery grants and £189 million through sales of tickets etc.

The O2 Arena is a re-name of the big white tent we all payed for in east London.

Just remind me then, how much did we taxpayers spend on it then for it to become

most popular pay-in attraction in the UK in 2000

How did it rate in the popularity states from in 2001 onwards?

    Interesting looking bike but:

The concept is supposed to create a sentimental bond with the user and also give them the same feeling as if they were driving a sports car.

    Marketing TOSH!

Crank Brothers and Exposure stuff was cheaper last month when I was in Tampa, however, make sure you do a good internet search beforehand. Also, think if something goes wrong, how do you get it back for warranty returns. Some clothing was cheaper, but again you have to check around to make sure.

Had a pair for about a month with no issues so far. Th cassette free-hub is a little noisey compared to my previous XT hubs, but something you get used too. Make sure that you get the spacer for the cassette when you get the wheels, for some reason the Mavic free-hub is slightly wider than the Shimano one, you can put the cassette on but it will flop around like a floppy thing that has a special reason to be floppy! Bit of a struggle to seat the tyres correctly, but the use of a track-pump and an indecent pressure eventually got them sitting in the right place.

As has been said before, they are a piece of pi55. I have had 4 MRIs all together, all painless except the ones on my hip where they injected dye into it….. Basically, you get strapped to a table which then motors into the main body of the MRI, like being pushed into a drain pipe. The machine makes lots of random noises, bit like the central heating being turned on for the first time in winter. Quiet spells and then crashes and bangs, then quiet again. All the ones I have been in, I have been given headphones so you can listen to music, one place asked me if I had brought a CD in to listen too. It will help you consultant/doctor make a very informed decision on what is wrong with you, overall, nothing too worry about at all, lie back and think of England (or Wales if you are a Trog, or, Scotland if you are a ……..)

Used Ergon grips for a few years now due to 2 knackered scaphoids and hence "limp wrists"!! Can't fault them at all as riding is now pain-free.

Looking at the set-up, I think you should sell the frame and get one that is the correct size! Your lower back must be made of play-doh to cope with the saddle height/bar height/reach, if the picture is anything to go by. Sorry, you may love it to bits, but it looks like you have out grown it it a long time ago.
