Why did a problem with the gears cause her to hit a car?

I think it was her crank that decided to downshift which caused her to spin out and lose balance.

I think she’s milking it a bit TBH though you’d have thought if she was that experienced, how did she not know any better than to take it to Halfords?

I suspect your best course of action would be to contact the manufacturer to see if they’d fix it out of goodwill (as someone else suggested);

I would be asking the retailer to do this on your behalf as your contract is with them, not the manufacturer

Manufacturers warranties are not worth the paper they’re written on. your rights under SoGA trump them. You have an item you expected to last longer than the 2 years 8.5 months you’ve had from it. I would expect any laptop I bought new to last at least 3 years if well looked after.

I would ask them to consider a repair or replacement at their cost one more time and if they don’t come back with a satisfactory response, threaten to inform trading standards.

I knew it was a fake as my PP account is connected to a different (Gmail) email address and I received the PP email in my Hotmail account! idiots!

further to that I received an email from in my hotmail account saying that an attempt to access my ebay account was detected and that I should click a link in the email to confirm it wasn’t me. My Ebay account is also connected to my Gmail account so I should have received it there!

I have a 2nd gen Jet boil and its one of my fav peices of camp kit. DO NOT use it to make porridge!! my mate did that to mine and my tea still tasted of burned oats even after using Mr Muscle oven cleaner to get it off!!

yeah man, I have had 5 emails asking to sell my car for asking price and more. they are almost all from nigeria as they claim they cannot get the car collected until i send them £400 via money gram or western union to pay for the commision on the car collection fee!

They use a fake Paypal template and a fake email address (look at the source of the email and you’ll see it’s from a different email than the one that appears in your inbox). its all very clever and could easily fool an unsuspecting OAP though I doubt they would be using Ebay to sell their car!

note the ‘–‘ as they all seem to have it on the initial email! they also generally have very poor grammar for someone called Calvin Harris (genuine scammers name!)

when I was is poland last time, was staying in a hostel and there was a cubicle that had a huge log lying on the seat. someone must have actually had to stand on the seat and crouched to get it where it was. Also,, in the same toilet (different cubicle) someone had barfed into the toilet but must have also needed to evacuate the other end too as it had a turd of epic proportions dressing the puke. Nice!

There is almost certainly still a massive stigma attached to most forms of mental illness. The way some people behave towards these people is, quite honestly, despicable. As Teej said above, if you think someone is a danger to them selves or others then call the police. if it’s someone muttering to themselves just let them be.

some mentally ill people, and they are people, do struggle to communicate with other people, that doesn’t mean we should ignore them. We should help them by not stigmatising every ‘nutter’ we see on our streets.

how do they know how big the Greek Shadow economy is? i’m sure it is as big as they claim (if not bigger) but how do they get seemingly accurate figuer on its size?

I dont understand the ‘going greek for a week’ part of this programme. couldn’t they have just done an unadulterated documentary on how corrupt the greek system is/was? it just seems as though they have added these people into the prog just so they can call it go greek for a week and really doesn’t add anything to it.

its only bad for your clutch if you down shift to slow down. pre emptive slowing down in the same gear is fine for the engine/clutch.

New discs aren’t that expensive anyway and are easy to fit with the right tools.

Not sure but my car just passed with an advisory as the front discs were below minimum thickness. So they need changed but not badly enough to fail an MOT apparently?

Yet they failed mine for a broken/corroded Reg plate light!
