you’d be surprised at how many people don’t know to call 999 first!
if there’s no help coming you might as well just walk on by!

compressions will force some air into the lungs anyway and if they ain’t breathing then CPR should immediately follow

if you have the transaction on your bank account then I don’t see why they can’t process it.

hamsters are performing industrial action so they’ve had to recruit some overweight guineapigs to substitute them for the time being and, frankly, they are just not as fit. Hopefully they can come to some agreement about working conditions/pay to end the strikes

we didn’t have a crate when we got our puppy a few weeks ago and we got one last week and he loves it although he’s just managed to get his leg stuck through the bars trying to retrieve his toy which was on the outside!
Get a clicker and start training immediately much quicker than relying on commands alone.
we’ve got him pooing and peeing only in one area of the garden and we clean it every day. you should separate walkies from toileting such that they ‘go’ before and after and anything else on the walk is a bonus but makes having to carry doggy mess in your pocket to the nearest bin less likely!

I think this is infringing your rights to peaceful enjoyment and a quick call to the council noise department should be your next port of call if the neighbour won’t sort it at your request.

a revelation to me a few years ago when I borrowed my mate’s Leki poles though I wouldn’t buy those if you are thinking of winter walking as I found the screw to tighten mechanism unscrews with my natural twisting of my arms on impact. get ones with a clip lock for snow plodding.

Always use the pavement tips if you are on loose flatish ground as unecessary stabbing at the ground causes accelerated erosion

we had requested the presence of a small collection of friends but they ummed and ahhhed until the last concieveable moment to let us down after we’d got loads of alkimifrol and snacks. so, we’ve now got a lot of beer and wine and food and Jools Holland to bring in the new year!

I’m impressed you were able to keep a collie pup still long enough to take a picture of him sitting.

It took a few attempts, it’s certainly not easy to do.

depends if you bought it from a shop trading on ebay or a private seller. if the former then you possibly have SOGA on your side.

A side note with TNF returns – they take aaaaaages to process and if you do send it off for testing etc, don’t expect a response too quickly!

when? what time? after 6pm and you can park on the side streets around there for free. before then your best bet is Boddingtons Near MEN for £3 and walk up Deansgate.

Is this true? I have a very similar fireplace and was told by the HETAS guy that you didn’t need to render with fire proof cemen

yeah i’m reading that you can usually get away with lime render as it copes with more heat than regular cement render. Fire cement is like sh1t on a blanket.

If your going to use that opening as it is you will have to
    render with fire proof cement

Yeah, i’ve read the building regs etc regarding change of use got a HETAS guy coming to look at it and price up fitting a burner soon. we’ve got to sort the cimney flaunching first as it’s probably in need of repair.

just want to restore the face and we’ve been recommended to get someone to lime blast the bricks to get rid of the render remnants (less abrasive than sand) but that’s dependent on budget as we’ve got to insulate and board the room out too!

The storms we get/are getting are depressions (cyclonic). They start across the other side of the Atlantic as waves on the Polar Front (where cold air from the north meets warmer air from the south).
The coriolis force causes it all to spin anticlockwise, with the warmer air rising up the warm front and being forced to rise up the cold front. This rising air causes low pressure (which becomes the centre of the storm), and cloud and precipitation along the fronts. Air rushes into the centre of low pressure, giving strong winds. As this happens, the fronts meet at ground level to become occluded and the storm dies out.

…or it could be one of these.

Depends on how you do it. if you buy new parts you are going to pay through the nose for them but you can get very good 2nds for over 50% off new stuff.

I built my P7 with seconds and I think it would have cost double had I used new parts (the frame was new mind).

I would probably mention that you’ve been a temp for X agency in various roles within X industry and probably mention something in the covering letter too. you don’t need to be specific, as if you get an interview they can ask you questions if they want. I doubt a recruiter will be that bothered you’ve been a temp.

OK so I know if your roof gets damaged but you’ve not been looking after it they don’t pay out.

how do they know you’ve not been looking after it?

if it’s damaged by a tree branch the only way I could see them getting out of paying is if you didn’t declare a tree within a specified distance not because you’ve had previous repairs.

    Challenge it i say

you’ll struggle to keep any house warm if it’s got ineffective insulation.
