At least every other car I pass has front fogs on though they don’t dazzle you head on they certainly do when they come over a hill. much more than usual dipped headlamps.
I understand some people often forget to turn them off after going through a fog patch but to see them on on a good day is just unforgivable and I hope they get a fine for it.

i suspect it’ll be fine. it’s a lot worse (though less likely to happen) the other way round.

Motorways are a lot safer (erm, IMO as I have no statistical evidence to back this up ) than a lot of dual carriageways, like the A14 and parts of the A1, where you can also do 70mph but have stupidly short slip roads, cars crossing the carriageway etc. EDIT – & can drive on when learning…

    This.

If a lerner is taken on these types of roads and is confident on them then I think they should be encouraged to go on motorways once they pass.
making it a no go area for learners will make it more expensive when the DLA introduce another hoop for drivers to jump through just like they did when they removed the D1 class from those after 97′ IIRC

Quality Seeker – I’d rather spend a little extra on something if I know its going to last

from the review! makes you laugh that they can get away with advertising something for such a high price only to reduce it to a real price that reflects it’s actual value (or not).

There’s barely any offroad on the Marin trail as it is.

half the jobs on the Jobcentreplus website are for recruitment agencies all the rest are mis-advertised as something else. I saw an ‘advert’ for a job as an infantry soldier the other day on there!

you can use whatever brand casette so long as your chain will fit on it i.e. 9sp chain for 9sp cassette. not sure about using a road cassette for mtb though I suspect it wouldn’t matter?

Harry, go to GTTR.ac.uk – you have to apply asap if you are thinking of going for 2012/2013 intake as courses fill up fast. if you are thinking of primary, I think you will already be too late for this coming year.

if its so challenging why does my 9 yr old have to have 3 teachers over a two week period (as they job share, is the kid the most important person in the class or the teacher.?)
my 6yr olds teacher is ‘winding down’ to early retirement at 55 so she only does 4 days a week at the mo. and the head is letting her teach the same class all the way through primary ( there now in yr1 so 3 yrs in and 4 to go)

Sounds like someone doesn’t know how to complain!

Have you checked out the academic requirements for subject entry? That would be a first port of call.

so long as you have a similar background or willingness to attend a subject enhancement course, you don’t need a degree in physics to teach it. I have a geographical information science degree and i’m doing Physics.

Besides, upto KS3 you will be teaching all sciences and not just your subject

you physically cannot run on tarmac with bare feet even amazonian hunters would have real trouble there with or without those gimmicky shoes designed to make it ‘more’ tolerable!

I would say a proper gait analysis is a must to get the correct trainer

Not true. the gait analysis thing is a sales technique employed by shops to guilt you into buying a pair off them because you’ve had a free gait analysis.
I would firstly decide what type of running you want to do. if its a couple of km in a park/pavement I wouldn’t spend a lot, just get one’s that fit and have plenty of length (this is important and often overlooked) and heel cushioning.
if on the other hand you want to prgress to marathons and maybe even fell running/off road I would find a shop like the lakesrunner in ambleside who have actual runners that work there to size you and give you advice.

yeah, it’s really easy on mine too (hayes Strokers). just wanted to check to see if it’s worth doing as I am hoping to ride Snowdon when it decides to warm up and I know I’ll be on the brakes for a lot of it!
    I probably will.

A landing page is like the cover of a book (or rather the rear cover with all the info about what’s inside). you could knock up one with minimal HTML and CSS knowledge and then buy a domain name such as Eyepicssonswebsite.co.uk and then find a hosting site (you can usually pay for both at the same time).

Can we call you a ham fisted spanner monkey now?

    LOL!

at least I do all my own repairs rather than taking it to a shop (usually Halfords) only to come on here to complain about shoddy workmanship/customer service/price (delete appropriate).

I had two hours out around above Aber Falls and saw some wild horses and an out of control Akito dog chasing said horses. I got half way to the res below Drum and realised that I had a slow puncture and no ability to remove my tyre to put in a new tube! limped back to the car, went home and cleaned the kitchen

hi guys realised in the cold light of day that the cassette is fine and the apparent wobbling was the effect of the different shapes on the individual sprockets to aid smooth shifting!
