IMPORTANT: Hongkong Post Air Mail deliveries might result in delays and lost parcels.

    This would put me off!

I find it quite strange that the whole story has actually been made public. Did MI6 bump him off and tried to discredit him by planting bondage stuff etc, do you think?

Okay where do you empty the used engine oil after that?

your local recycling centre should be able to dispose of it for you. I take mine an put it in a big vat they have which gets recycled!

You pay for a service? it’s the most easy of tasks that most garages charge over the odds to do

Example: my OH paid for what she beleived to be a full service only to be told after the fact that the full service doesn’t include the price of the oil! when quizzed further he said that the basic service does include oil – go figure!

I’d be careful as there’s no saying the EA won’t go bump overnight and you’ll end up £999 down! that said, i am surprised this isn’t done more as it would show more commitment from a buyer and would make me think they ere deadly serious buyers.

Pedant. A calorie is the energy to heat one gram (not a litre) of water by one degree.

in the context of food, it’s the Kcal that is used i.e 1 kilo of water.

Although the sugar will turn to fat right?

excess energy from too much sugar and too little exercise will be stored as fat.
lot of this fat is stored around the organs etc so you don’t really notice it until its too late!

calories are just calories (a unit of energy, specifically 1 calorie is how much energy it takes to increase the temp of 1lt of water 1 deg). the only benefit of swapping your bacon roll for the sugar laden jordans cereal is that it has less sat fat.

can some one explain how a large gathering of slow moving cyclists blocking roads makes the roads safer?

Hi, I am about to start my PGCE this Sept and I am (tentatively) looking forward to it. I kno people that have gone through the whole course only to be put off teaching once and for all. in the same breath, I know people who are really enjoying the profession and get a lot out of it.
to be a teacher, you really do have to like kids and find them funny (you don’t necessarily need to have kids though I suspect it might help).
I wouldn’t go for teaching if you for one minute think that you get lots of holidays and time off at half term etc. nor would I think about it if I didn’t think I would be a good teacher. By that I mean having the confidence to inspire young minds to WANT to learn and not feel like they are being spoon fed a load of crap that won’t be of any use to them!

If you do go for it, best of luck as it’s not just something you can just try because you have had enough of working in an office etc – it’s a professional commitment.

The question is now, where do you go after doing something like that!!

I think Heroin or crack is the only option to get a bigger high.

well, trains aren’t exactly the safest mode of transport! and what about the journey to and from the station. I suspect Mr Rugbydick is correct on this one and someone is trying to make savings though trains aren’t exactly the cheapest mode of transport!

I think cd, dvd, usb sticks will all be redundant in years to come.

doesn’t necessarily mean they are any less useful as a backup medium. CD/DVD are certainly more stable than most HDD and more secure than any cloud technology out there.

Write to HDD and DVDs (do two copies and send to a friend or relative for safe keeping).

if he is ok with it and you actually intend on sending said item then Bank transfer is generally the quickest method and quite safe.

If you aren’t that bothered about the GTX liner then go for the borneo – same boots but without the liner. Will perform the same, let’s be honest, gore-tex means nothing with leather

Not strictly true as the Burma has a PU sole unit whereas the Borneo has a EVA sole unit.

The latter being less likely to break down after a few years use. it’s not massively likely this will happen but it certainly won’t with the EVA sole units!

Those simond boots look alright though you’d be really sweaty in summer with them!

it’s all about the fell running shoes for summer and the b1/2’s for winter!

The price of leather has sky-rocketed and the makes you mention haven’t outsourced their boot production to the far east yet so you’ll struggle to get a new pair of good quality boots for much less than £150+

We did dragons back a few weeks ago and there was a diversion in place after the beefy section and the final section was closed until aug. Also we did the long and pointles fire road up and down after the cafe – avoid this by continuing up the road as it is pointless!

Penmachno will be a lot of fun – prepare for wetness and pinch flats.

I’d highly doubt it will be anywhere near 16k. more like NMW + a few pence so they can state ‘exceeds NMW’. I worked as assistant manager for a chain outdoor retailers and was’nt paid more than 15k.

we’ve got some nice wood anenomes and some blue bells coming through at the moment. The forget-me-not was trampled by the dog and the primroses are doing well too. I might take some pictures tomorrow if it’s nice.

Don’t ask here; go and ask on DIYnot.com

The thing I have found with those forums is that they will tell you it’s not a DIY job and that you need to consult a tradesman immediately or they will go one further and ask that you consult building control as it’s possibly notifiable under building regs Part J or some jazz

Edit: If you have the Destructions and can get the part and assuming it’s not part of the gas fittings – go for it.
