This is worrying as I am with admiral and I am attending an awareness course in the coming weeks.

The DVLA must be passing the details on.

I thought it was nothing to do with DVLA as you don’t get endorsed erg you don’t need to tell DVLA. I’ll be ringing DVLA on monday to as kif I can remove my permission to share my information with 3rd party companies.

When you buy, you know exactly what you’re paying…the price you bid.

don’t forget about the stupid price people put for postage. I know I can post any item up to 32kg for no more than £12 next day! someone tried telling me it costs £5 to send a shirt via RM 1st class!

Anything bigger than 5KW will require additional ventilation being installed if not present already. 8KW is a huge fire and I doubt you’d run it at full whack very often!

I was going to recommend a pack of these and you just had to be specific in your post, didn’t you.

Do not be conned into getting a homebuyers or building survey – get a reputable builder to walk round the property with you and get a quote for remedial works (if any).

the people you bought it off. nothing is stopping you going for the manufacturer though it’s generally quicker to just go back to the retailer as most manufacturers won’t deal with joe public and tell you to go to the retailer.

So glad I don’t work in sales any more. it’s like selling your soul to the devil while he rapes you, your mother and your wife (in no particular order) without cleaning himself in between.

Damp proofing(injection/physicalbarriers) in a victorian property is a con. I have a 150yr old house that is level with outside floor and it has hardly any damp problems.

When you invite a Damp ‘expert’ into your house to look at your problem don’t be surprised when they turn around and tell you you need £1000’s of work doing to remedy it!

We laughed when we got a quote for a cavity membrane system in an ABOVE GROUND room for £1700 – work that even I knew was completely the wrong remedy!

I’d be sending an email tonght for confirmation and your mobile/home number. that way you’ve got a record that you tried to sort it out so no one can say it was your fault.

I had one the other day, terrible rain, pulling out of a junction to turn right and as I pull forward (there was a car in front of me and I was clear to pull out) a cyclist* comes hurtling from my left, ON THE PAVEMENT, with no lights.
It could have been quite nasty had I not been going slow!

    * I use the term Cyclist in the loosest sense as I don’t consider these people as cyclists.

My point being that the huff is simply liberal garbage

The Huff may have an agenda but it’s the people they are interviewing who are talking garbage.

The huffington post has about as much credability for unbiased reporting as the Guardian.

    And your point is…?

we came across a largish patch of Shaggy Ink caps on our regular dog walk. There were some fine specimens. I also found some kind of bolete that I couldn’t identify – looked quite edible but didn’t want to risk it!

Thanks folks (esp Takisawa for the pics) managed to replace the part after shedding minimal blood. The bolt attaching to the swing arm came off no troubles but the ARB nut was stuck proper. managed to get a hacksaw behind the nut and hacked it off. The new one went on very easily and only had to take one wheel off.

    Just hope it passes now!

All you need is Malwarebytes and CCleaner. just don’t download from any dodgy torrent sites and porn. run malwarebytes at least once a week and run CCleaner’s Registry cleaner whenever you download/uninstall anything.

If its the Mk3 (when TDCi engine came out) then I have a Haynes manual.
I could copy the relevant bit if its any use.

That would be great. it is indeed the Mk3 TDCi estate.
