a deplorable man in every sense – lied about everything, took people to court for speaking out about him even though they were right, took drugs. what more can a man do to make himself look more of a dick than he does now? guess we’ll have to wait to find out!

A good cv is about the future – it shows, clearly, what you will bring to a new employer / organisation

no it isn’t, that’s what the interview is for. The CV shows you a brief outline of experience to date and allows you to decide if they are worth interviewing.

CV writing shouldn’t be over complicated. keep it simple and easy to read and for the love of god SPELL CHECK EVERYTHING, even get some people to proof read it.

I would avoid all CV services and programs and just tailor what you currently have to the job you’re applying for.

one last tip: ALWAYS include a covering letter and at least two methods of contact (preferably 3)!

I have considered going back to full sus after falling out of love with my previous, but then I spent all my birthday money on updating my P7. I might treat myself to a FS in the future but I doubt I’d sell my HT.

We managed to get a whole new central heating system from the Energy saving trust for the princely sum of a 15 min phone call to an 0845 number!

a few things you should know: We live in Wales, the house was considered to be below the national standard for efficiency and I was claiming benefits at the time.

So, highclimber – how long are you expecting to be snowed in for with your 8 pints of milk?

we drink a lot of milk, or rather I do. so what, wanna fight about it? :P

I managed to get the last two 4 pints of milk and one of the final loaves of bread – mental is all I have to describe it!

£2.49 , think thats when you buy any bike related product though..

It’s possible this is the reason. I just saw the cans and the price, didn’t read the small print and it was put through at £2.49.

How about sponsoring me once it’s all OK’d and we have dates. Sponsor me for The National Trust and Mountain Rescue?

    You’re having a laugh aren’t you?

The NT explicitly refuse to accept anything from companies running these 3 peaks events as doing so will, in their eyes, imply they condone such events.

You know it may not be that hard/interesting but it is an achievement

if you consider walking 23 miles, mostly in the dark interspersed with about 13 hrs of being on the road an achievement, go for it.

I can do 5 miles in 50 min (off road), hoping to get that up to 6 miles in the same time.

I picked up a tim of GT85 for £2.49 while I was at it too! bargain!

but even more amazing what s**t people will buy.

It’s more amazing what people will pay!

I was watching an SLX shadow+ on there the other day and someone actually paid £49 (inc postage) for it…used!

I don’t really understand why you haven’t considered even discussing doing something less environmentally unsound.

You’ve taken the facts of the situation and decided to go ahead anyway.

There is an over riding factor in all this and that’s the fact that it’s a rubbish challenge and I know you will look back after doing it and agree that it wasn’t worth the cramped, sleepless car journey between each leg all for a couple 100 quid for a random charity that has nothing to do with the challenge itself.

please do not do this and try to discourage your collegues by sending the above link to the BMC’s article. It isn’t so much of a walking challenge as it is a driving one.

ring them and tell them the person in question no longer lives there. The one I did that for were ok about it and didn’t receieve further letters.

No need to worry AT ALL!

Just because the area has already developed into what can be loosely described as a tourist attraction from a working mine/quarry does not give the precedent to develop another ‘attraction’.

It’s not a massive walk from piccadilly and there will be buses. They were building the tram network out to there before I moved from manchester so I don’t know if they’ve finished it – it’s only about 12 years late!

Rising damp given the level it’s at?

It’s widely accepted that rising damp doesn’t exist and is something spouted by ‘damp specialists’ to sell expensive, unecessary and pointless treatments into your wall.

I ploughed into a bunch of cyclists today because I was travelling too fast to see them. they were ok about it, at least the ones who survived were, as I pointed out they didn’t have any lights on! doh! Never mind, eh. we live and learn.
