Gary, what size brake discs has it got? 😀

I’ve got one like BoardinBob – It just sits in my back pack and then I plug it in when I get home. It gives you all the info you wanted and brings up a google map with an overlay of the route. Seams a neat little system – not sure whether it works with a Mac though. The only thing is, unless I’m being daft (quite possible!) the “total ascent” appear wildy inaccurate. Either that or I actually did do 1800m of climbing in the Surrey hills on Sunday in 2 1/2 hours!!

I’ve had a Citroen C1 for 5 years and not even had to change a bulb or anything. As a cheap, small car it’s great it’s fun to drive and I really like the engine (petrol). I’ve always liked basic little cars, but not everyone does. It’s very roomy in the front, but not ideal for transporting bikes. I’ve got a roof rack for mine which is fine. You can get abike in the back, but I have to remove both wheels and the seat post on my bike to get it in. Cheap to run too.

If you’ve only got an hour then have an explore behind the bit that sells tea and cake. There are a few good pumpy bombhole type sections going off in all directions. With such a short amount of time I’d be tempted to stay local. You could just blast up the NDW and the fire road which run parralel to it to Ranmore and back, but it wouldn’t be as much fun.

Yes it is Wiggle – has someone else had he same thing then? I do prefer to buy stuff from my LBS but they don’t stock the brand and the 20% discount was the sweetener.

No NOT CRC (or Merlin) – 1st time I’ve used ’em. The 20% off was the reason I ordered from them – I won’t be re-ordering with them at the full price.

Not sure I’m afraid, but my sliding dropout (so vertical really) Inbred has the cable running down the seatstay and uses green and blue things as above. Works a treat. 😀

Green on the drive side, blue non-drive side. Hope that helps.

Taken not far from home on the A246 – I was going to do the trig points on the Surrey Hills but I though loads of people would have done that!

I have a “bad mother **** er” wallet! A mate got it for me years ago – I must try and find it.

Being a lanky, specky, middle aged bloke from Surrey, I fear I might not be able to quite pull off the whole a bad mother **** er vibe! 😀

Strangley, my favourite bit is when they go to Jimmies house to clean up the car. There is some banter in the kitchen about coffee and how he always buys “the gourmet shit”. Anyway, Mr Wolf tastes his coffee and gives Jimmie an approving look – this aways cracks me up.

    Great film.

If I remember right, you can’t if it’s got any steel inserts (bottle bosses/cable guides) as the process erodes them. Or sumink. We had one done for a customer “back in the day” and it looked bobbins IMHO.

Sorry to hear that. Must be gutted. I’ll keep my eye out on the trails.

It’s only accessable by a bridleway, but not very remote (you can hear the drone of the M25!). Not sure who it’s monumenting, but says “temple of sleep” on the top.

Oh, I think I broke that one a couple of years ago. I found walking round my normal riding patches looking for new trails stopped me from climbing the walls too much. It’s amazing what you miss whilst scooting along on a bike!

Anyway I’ve heard skiing is rubbish and that you should always let a carbon frame “settle” for a month after building it up before riding it 😉

Mountain Biker for me, although I have got a Kona Ute cargo bike on order to do my shopping and visiting friends on. I’m not keen on riding on the roads really. This will be the first non-off road bike I’ve ever owned, so things may change (although I’ll probably fit some Small Block 8’s to make it ideal for xtreme off-road picknicing!)

I had my first ever biking holiday last year. Went to Bike Village – am going back again this year as it was great. Really, really nice people, food and stunning rides in a beautiful area. Well organised, but laid back at the same time.

I’m 6ft 4″ (don’t know my inside leg mesurement – sorry) and have an XL Ridgeline SS with an in-line post and 80mm stem – it suits me fine if that’s any help. How does the Large measure up against you current bike?

I had a set of XT brakes from them last week (arrived next day) – I was expecting a big bag of bits and a bottle of brake fluid, but no, all bits (including the caliper brackets) came in nice little boxes!

I think about it a fair bit. After a really good ride I even find myself walking round the house holding an imaginary pair of handlebars! 😳

Eveytime I watch QI I think about riding around the top of the desk thing!

    Mountain bikes are brilllllllllliant 😀

Not a B-movie, but Ed Wood is worth a watch – it’s a film about famous B-movie director, er, Ed Wood. I think it’s a great film and funny.

I’ve actualy moved a 2CV (with the plugs still in) about 150m up a muddy lane after it broke down, using that method. I was unable to push it on my own, this method worked, but took the skin off my hands! Got the idea from the film.

I think I had one of the pre-production/mock up copies which Chipps and Mark gave me in a Yorshire pub over lunch.

I’d taken them some bikes and bit’s to test and they were trying to sell me some advertising. We had no money at the time to do so, but gave them a bike to give away to one lucky, new subscriber at the bike show at the NEC.

Glad to see things are still going well. It’s still my favourite mag and I do spend far to long on here!
