I owned a dalmatian, now sadly departed, went with us on most mountain bike trips, great dog but clumsy.

Riding along a stream about 8 ft wide and 6ft deep, the dally decides he wants to cross but pushes me into the stream, I fall in and as I standing he jumps across using my head as a staging post/additional leverage. Catches my ear with his hind leg ripping my ear, rode back to the car like evander holyfield. The nurses who put the stitches in did laugh.

Riding along the dog get a whiff of deadness and starts to shoot off, he was about 16 months old and had got lost whilst tracking down dead rotten carcasses so I decided to cut him off, mis judged it hit a rut in front of him over the handle bars and ruptured my knee ligaments! He stayed with me as I hobbled and cursed.

    Hell I miss that dog!

Some fair and just comments here, the issue for me is the spirit of the classifieds, most people buy and sell stuff in a manner that relects the mtb community, reasonable and open, a lot of people swop and change all the time most losing money so the idea profiteers are lurking out there in the classifieds irks me slightly. I realise and recognise we live in a monetary society and this is all fair, and olly no it would not miff me if the bike was smashed on the first ride at least some one was using it appropiatley. Hora quite right it is upto the individual what they do with the frame but you ahve haggled enough to know that some items transcend cash and are wrapped up in emotions. Maybe it was too big but to put a 40% mark up on seems or makes me feel like I was talking to a trader all along, private sellers but professional buyers. But it seems all is fair in love and the classifieds.

Not a racer but over a 10 mile loop
    24lb yeti asr-sl 1hr 3 min 24 secs
    35lb titus supermoto 1hr 4mins 02 secs

just come back from the pryenees so reasonable condition for me, but i am no racer or athelete felt i could ride the loop a few times more on the yeti, dead on the titus.

As BWD says spend the money on a training plan.

Sumo, outstanding descender, good climber, excellent suspension system, just a fab bike and the el gap was similiar but just lighter and a bit more all dayer. one of Ben haworths editors choice in 08 I think. Recommended to test or buy my very very cheap supermoto :D

I have had coil and air pikes and have some 36 talas, the pikes are very good but the fox are great both outshine anything else out there, as mildred said weight negliable, I prefer the 36 but very happy with pikes

I agree with both too many berms and the speed bumps, I would like to see some more natural singletrack, but will need to describe that a bit better. Will ride it again next week. When is the next dig? :-)

Went today rode over and was impressed, well done to one and all, the wood freaked me as it was lashing down and still have visions of flying off the north face at grizedale. I was impressed by the quality of the trail plenty of everything but did totally manage to mangle my calf on my flat pedals on the green route……do not ask. Personally liked it more than llandegla, much more intresting at Gisburn.
