Have ridden all 3 extensively – I own a HL and DW, and my regular riding buddy has just swapped his FB for a DW.
On MTBR I did quite a long write-up on how I thought each compared…..
    http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=476529

Conclusion unsurprisingly was that the DW outperformed both, and by enough of a margin to convince both me and my mate to upgrade….

I still enjoy riding the HL, esp after getting it resprayed, so although not as fun to ride, it's by no way a second-class bike….

A couple of us will likely to be riding early Sunday (8am ish) out of Holmbury St Mary for a couple of hours.

I've found Swampthings one of the easier tyres to use ghetto tubeless, but it is mighty draggy so I tend to only use on the front. For mud use, I tend to couple with a Medusa LUST on the rear.

It's a 27.2mm post but there is an internal alu shim inside the Ti tube. 99% sure it's the 34.9mm you need but suspect their website should say.

Yep that's the one, although haven't ridden that way in over 5 years!

There is (or certainly used to be) a bit of singletrack to the R (west) of said bridleway that's only marked on the 1:25,000 map that has less of a slope on it.

Can recommend the LOCT (as someone who's actually used one).

I bought a Mojo in the US a few years' back, and had 2 rear ends crack. Ibis were superb in getting me replacements ASAP without having to go through Stif. May have changed with the new importer of course, but suspect Ibis CS won't have changed!

GF1 is an awesome camera. With the 20mm lens, just about pocketable in a jacket or to hang off a rucksack in a Lowepro case. I've rarely used by D90 DSLR since getting it.

Keep it clear – that looks the nuts! Nearly bought it myself but slightly too long in the TT.

Another vote for GF1 +20mm here. Simply awesome.

Just been out around St Martha's nr Guildford. Was an awesome ride! Very good amounts of grip but limited viz with the snowfall. The hipflask with a good single malt hit the spot and the drive home was "interesting"!!!

Just done a trip from Surrey to the Breacons with my bling DW 5-Spot and wife's Ti 456 on Thule roofracks. Prob close to £10k of kit with no worries. Did a trip to N Wales in the summer and Borders/Lakes last year too. They're strapped to a rather quick Alpina so they get subjected to a bit of acceleration too, although don't tend to go too quickly on motorways etc.

That Picos track is awesome. Not ridden it but walked it with the wife a few years back. Watching the vultures was amazing but the best bit was the bar at the top!

Depends on which way you are moving. Just converted my 20mm hub down to 15mm with an adaptor from Bromley Bikes (they are linked to the importers of CK stuff). Not cheap mind. Dunno if they have the converter to go from 9mm to 15mm though – worth a try.

Had the same problem with my daughter's CNOC 14 – only time she crashed was due to tyres failing with grip.
I bought some from Raleigh that stated they were 14" but they didn't fit. Eventually bought a CNOC 16 which you can spec with contis.

-1 for Ardbeg, really don't like it, but then with the exception of Bowmore Darkest I'm not a fan of Islays.

Macallan is always a safe bet – loads of different ages to suit budgets too.
For special occaision presents, the whisky shop does some of it's own bottling which can be interesting.
I'm also a fan of stuff matured in different casks (sherry, burgundy etc). May not suit a purist but can impart something different.

Nirvana were considering building up the BP – might be worth giving them a call.

geetee is spot-on with the formulas – wicked brakes but they eat pads, esp in the winter. I have a couple of sets on my full-suss bikes but have just swapped a set on my hardtail to X2's (first ride tomorrow) to see how they cope with the winter grunge.

just got a Lumix GF1 to back up my Nikon DSLR and have to say it ticks all the right boxes. TBH I think it's easier to use than the Nikon – very adjustable, and with the 20mm 1.8 lens very fast. Autofocus is very quick, and with virtually no shutter lag, beats any compact into the dust! Not cheap mind but very good.

5'10" on a 16" here, based on Brant's recommendation. Run it with a 70mm stem and layback post and fits fine. Yes the post sticks out a long way and my mate (who is usually behind) can see it flex, but just adds to the comfort!

Brief review in one of this month's chav mags – cant remember which one. Conclusion was a good bike, but as 0.5lbs heavier than the previous version, moves it toward more of a trail bike than an xc bike.
Have a dw 5-spot and love it, but agree that the latest turners are burlier than their previous versions.

Have dropped Mojo an email tonight.

I'd assumed the same, although the online manual makes no mention of it on the 32's whilst it does for the 36's, so made me wonder if the FIT cartidge has removed the ability to do it.

As above. Thrown them off 4-5' drops no problems and down Lakes rocky descents. Cracking wheels, although run Mavic SX's on the "bigger" bike!

Will be demo-ing an mmmBop back to back with my Ti 456 and my mate's Dialled PA on Sunday. OK – so it's not the Ti Ragley, but should give a good sense of geom differences, as well as being an interesting comparison of the different frame materials. I'll probably post a quick write up here if anyone's interested….

Good luck! Tried to get mine repaired a few months ago with no luck either here or Stateside. A massive case of buck-passing leaving you with a very expensive obsolete bit of kit.

Pikes with U-Turn that never gets used here too. Thinking of swapping mine out for something else – want to buy them (push tuned too)??

As doof doof says, start off by setting the sag. I also use the lightest pro-pedal setting for most riding – some will say you don't need it on an HL bike, but I found it still bobbed. I tend to mash a bigger gear so perhaps that's why.

Looking nice Tim – how does it ride? Was out this morning around the Surrey Hills on the 5-Spot and it was definately hardtail weather! Cracking fun sliding around everywhere though!

Steve -you dead set on the G11? Just got the Lumix GF1 with the 20mm and I reckon it's an awesome camera. Whilst I've not tried the G-series from Canon, it compares very well with my Nikon D90 for speed (focus, shutter lag etc) and pic quality, and far outperforms my Nikon compact.

Bought a med Ibis Mojo – didn't quite fit so sold it on. Thankfully I bought it in the US when the £ was at 2:1 so sold it for pretty much what I paid for it.

Toons is right – I still own a HL version but rode exensively the DW version before buying one, and it's significantly better. A mate of mine has done the same moving from the TNT version to the DW version after riding mine back-to-back.
Don't get me wrong – the others are good, it's just the DW is a good bit better. All IMHO of course!
