Really enjoyed my first race. Came about halfway in the 18-39 2hr cat.

Great course, pretty relentless and about 90% singletrack which was great.

I’ve got massive respect for the top runners. Their speed is unbelievable. My 3 laps averaged about 50 mins per lap. The leaders were doing it in 35 mins over 7 laps. Astonishing.

Indeed, light snow predicted on Saturday afternoon going into the night.

Where do you have to travel from to get to the race?

I’ve got crests with a Ron and a Ralph. They gone ok. You’ll need a lever but its definitely not impossible

I used google translate to work out what the form was asking. The Parcel Force page means you can return the goods FOC. Just package it up, take to the post office and they’ll take care of the rest

Heavyrat. Good site thanks. Don’t suppose you have the termal longsleeve top?

Yes I do as it happens. I got the longsleeve one last week. Its great value. Also got the thermal lights which are really good. Even the jerseys for 9.95 are fantastic.

I did think about upgrading the hardtail with better wheels. Then thought about swapping the frame to an On One Whippet. Then thought sod it, just get a new bike altogether. But what if I don’t like racing. So I think I’ll leave it as it is for the time being

N+1 is the ideal and should never be forgotten.

I do have a road bike and a pub bike too. So I’m looking at making 4 into 3 which is not so bad.

What a complete hypocrite! He was a druggie as well, how he can say ‘you were part of the problem’ when he was jacked up to the eyeballs on EPO beggars belief.

Yeah and he was part of the problem too. He’s now on various anti-doping boards trying find solutions. Don’t understand your point really.

Rabobank had the opportunity to be involved in making this the cleanest era in cycling. Now they’ve walked away.

Schwalbe Luganos. £9.99 each, great tyre, loads of grip and not had a puncture yet. Was on Gatorskins before until I realised how rubbish they are in the wet.

I was really impressed with Cannock. With the space and land they had available, the trails easily exceeded my expectations. Really worth a visit.

Have ridden them both. Can remember some of Penmachno but Marin has been wiped from my mind. So probably says how good Marin was or wasn’t. I’d go for Penmachno.

Here’s mine. Started out as black 2008 one before usual happened. Was warranty replaced just under 2 years later for this. And I chuffing love it. Does everything I want it to do. Did have to get some risers for it as the front seemed lower than the old frame

Have a look at the Malaga area. Loads of hotels, villas etc

For your biking contact Joyriders who operate about an 90 mins away. The biking is pretty damn good.

Just got back from a week with Joy-riders in Spain. Enjoyed it so much I have just booked a return trip! Definitely recommended on all fronts.

I’m off with them Saturday. Looking foward to some good weather.

Is it not probable that nobody has heard much of 2010’scracking because there are less out there being used due to the previous quality issues and a damaged reputation

No. The 2010 bikes are considerably are a lot better made, even the untrained eye can tell that. 2009 was a very bad year.
