What a great trip.  Cracking photos.  Whats with the 11 month gap between posts?

I iked Zwift mainy for the racing.  Even though I was rubbish a race is a great interval session.

But because I only have time for 3 or 4  indoor rides a month I binned it off after the price increase.  In fact I was struggling to justify the cost before the increase.

I wish they did tiered pricing for those who don’t use  it everyday.

just suppose Newey sub-contracted an entire aero department himself at a cost of £10m, leaving him £20m would this be a way of circumventing the cost cap?

My was straight forward other than having to have it done at the hospital due to my high blood pressure.

I’ve had no cpmplications or pain. Hopefully its just a follow up even though not expected

AFAIK its only 1 sample nowadays. My sample result looks positive but confused why I’ve got to go back to hospital. No reason given

I had my tib and fib broken once, I was knocked down by a bike on the footpath. Not fun.

    Bloody cyclists 🙁

I’m another one who bought the Chisel Comp HT at near 50% off – I appreciate that it’s pretty entry level SRAM and definitely not the lightest but actually it’s been faultless so far. Definitely ripe for upgrade as and when it wears out though.

The new Chisel FS looks very good. Same with that new aluminium Crux as well.

To be fair the mech was OK but the shifter broke so I replaced both

That looks like my ideal bike. for my sort of riding that would work anywhere

Also specced with Shimano unlike my current Chisel which did have SRAM. Happy about that

I only ever used Zwift once a week and very very ocasionally twice. For me even when it was 12.99 it was borderline value for money.

I wish they did a tiered pricing scheme depending how much you use it a month. £5 for 5 hours a month or something along those lines

Jeez, I was hoping they’d reduce prices to compete with MyWhoosh. Well that’s me done with it. That’s greed at its finest

It’s demise accelerated when they introduced DRS and the hybrid engines.  DRS is an utter joke.  Pathetic attempt at manufacturing overtaking.  As for the engines, they’re awful.  The old v8 and V10s (and the V12s) were always spectacular even if the racing was a bit dull.

Had the OP’s issue last year whilst riding up a climb at Afan.  Mech disintegraed.  Walked back down to shop at Glyncorrwg and fitted a Deore mech.

All has been well until weekend just gone when the chain starting coming off the top jockey.  Only happened on rocky descents and possibly when quickly changing down the gears.  Chain wasn’t in the best condition so have cleaned and lubed it up.  Hoping that has helped.

Sounds about as popular as the Cheltenham-Gloucester-Stroud cycle path which doens’t appear to be popular with anyone

Good advice all.  Will check over for dirt inside etc.

The shifting of all other gears is perfect so would be surprised if derailleur, hanger and cable was at fault.  Definitely feels like the mechanism inside the shifter isn’t right.   Think yesteryday I disconected cable from derailleur and it still felt wrong.

Currently have a Shimano shifter and mech in my ebay basket 🙂

Been in touch with Tredz have been told to do a warranty claim.  So will try that first

I’d swap derailleur and shifter for Shimano but now might consider the GX one.

If the the forum users would like to have a whip round, and manage to drum up 12M I’ll give driving it a bash.
It is/was a wonderful bit of engineering, to showcase, to get people’s imagination going, to excite and engage younger generations of budding engineers. I love motorsport and engineering as much as the next bloke, cars and motorbikes have always interested me. But even I’m struggling to see the “relevance” in 2023 of this project. It’s years after it’s time. Thrust SSC, brilliant. This?? Just something that by the time it runs in anger (assuming it ever does) will be overshadowed by other technologies.

Shame though, I’d have loved for it to have been finished.

Q: Are you still aiming to set the first Net Zero LSR? Yes. We intend to fuel the car without any fossil-derived fuels. Utilizing synthetic (Net Zero) fuel strengthens our ability to inspire the next generation of engineers and create a lasting legacy, as we demonstrate that we can continue to push engineering boundaries in a sustainable way.

In 1994, Williams had four drivers; Senna, Hill, Coulthard, and Mansell. Senna was killed and replaced by Mansell and Coulthard. Senna and Mansell were both past champions, but neither won a race. Hill won races, but didn’t win the championship, he didn’t win the championship until two years later. Aside from that, when was the last time that a team had three world champions drive for it in one year?

Pretty sure Nige won the season ender in Adelaide in 94

Ordered an XL Chisel in the end.  Took it for a quick ride last night and it felt pretty damn good.  Happy with the size I chose.

On trails that felt a bit dull on a trail bike feel much more engaging on an XC hardtail.

Wheels as they’re 135 although can get adaptors for 142 fitment

Bottom bracket, Revolt frame is threaded. Might need new crankset

Brake calipers, Revolt frame is flat mount. Think there are adaptors for post mount

Would like to go 1x too

Mine was a 2016 model. The crack appeared both times along the top tube a couple of inches short of where it meets the seat tube.

Valid point on the mudguards on the Revolt
