    Many thanks for all the replies.

    I have a Silverline 962219 torque wrench coming from Amazon which, from the instructions, is dual direction. So i’ll torque it up properly.

    In the first picture, could you tell me what stand the blue bike rear wheel is in please?

    Is the tyre 27×2.6?

    How stable is the bike in it?

    Looking for a similar stand for my wifes Levo Alloy.

    I didnt want to disassemble until i had a better idea of what might be the culprit and what parts i would need.

    Im going to go with squirrelkings suggestion first. Just need to get some parts in.

    Onzadog : How cunning? “As cunning as a fox who’s just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University?” Or is there a trick you can suggest?

    Is that the piston in the Lever or the caliper that you think isnt returning fully?

    Last year i changed the caliper pistons and the brake fluid but didnt touch the master cylinder other than for the oil.

    Thanks for all the replies. Gypsy Glen is certainly of interest and merits further investigation.

    Issue at the moment is finding an E-bike for my wife. The bike shop at Glentress arent responding to emails and the Glentress Hotel dont appear to have any Ebikes in small size.

    Thanks for the responses. Sorry, should have said it was a mountain bike.

    I’ll get a valve core remover, new sealant and a syringe.

    Going to have to get used to tubeless as daughter has a new bike incoming which we are going to convert to tubeless either by dealer or i save some cash and do it myself.

    Wow, thanks for all the replies.

    Naively, i had thought all i needed to do was remove the crank from the chainring using the 4 fixings and fit a new one, if i could find one!

    I cant remember when i last had parts on the drive train changed. It might be prudent to change the chainrings, cassette, jockey wheels and chain when i sort this out, so everything is back to a known good condition.

    Id also thought about changing to a SRAM GX Eagle groupset with a new BB, which was where my original comment about costly came from.

    @montgomery
    : thanks for the link but i note there isnt a 175mm available at the moment. Would there be any noticible difference between 175mm and 170mm? Id need a new BB and also a crank for the other side?

    @Endomick
    : I am in the UK. Is this just the drive side crank? My cranks are 175mm, is yours the same?

    I started looking at the non-WMN bikes.

    The standard 7.0EX is £2949. The 6.0EX is £1939. The WMN AL7.0EX is down to £2229.

    At those prices i need to compare the 6.0EX to the offerings from Bird and Airdrop. I think the 7.0EX is out on price, though the spec does look amazing for the money.

    Thanks for the answers.

    If we find that the fork cant be tuned for my wife, can we change anything internal to the fork to bring it back to a non ‘light tune’?

    Just found out that there’s a local’ish bike shop that have both Frog bikes in store that she can try. So we will be heading there one weekend. I’ll ditch the idea of the Specialised as it only interested me due to the front fork.
