    Good point fuzzywuzzy

Have got someone coming round to install the extra locks on monday and think I’ll throw in a camera too for good measure… At least then I can watch how they manage to break in so quietely…

Thanks all, awseome advice… am going to look into all these options this evening.

Very aware they will come back, possibly for the other bikes they didn’t take last night – they ignored the road bike and the commuters.

Signed up to lovefilm instant and cancelled within the hour. Terrible selection and impossible to find your way round anyway.
Netflix is fun for the free month – great documentaries like gaslands – but not updated enough to keep on paying.

    Cheers guys

    Conclusions:
    – I’m buying myself a nice van
    – It’s time to get the road bike back on the road

And will check out the other route suggestions

Love the sleeper and have done it a few times. Fantastic riding and then sleeper back just in time for work on monday…

    Mostly xc riding

Haven't been to Swinley so maybe we'll give that a go – any tips on routes?

Take a longer ride and leave the bike at hitchin maybe? Plenty of bikes left there during the day – I haven't had a problem yet. Either that or join the folder brigade…

I have a 16" inbred and am about 5'9. Use a 400mm inline thompson and the fit is pretty good. The inbred is a pretty low frame and you can find yourself using a lot of the seatpost, which puts the saddle back – if its too far back then an inline post can sort this out. A layback would put it even further back, so probabably not a good idea. But really depends on you…

Cody – got him from the local rescue centre a year ago. Can now be seen tearing down singletrack at speeds I could only dream of. Happily pulls the scooter for miles if I can't be bothered to pedal…

hope pro 3s on the mountainbike and love the clicking so just brought a pair of hope xc off the classifieds for a tourer I'm building. The rear hub is a bit sticky. Was going to ignore it but seeing as everyone here seems to service theirs I guess I shouldn't be so lazy…
