I would recommend borrowing another bike to try first.

You could also try pushing the seat back and putting a longer stem, but it sounds too small. 15 Women’s hardrocks are quite short

My wife is the same height and recently changed from an 04 15″ Rockhopper to a 16″ Men’s Kona Steely. It’s about 3 inches longer and puts here in a much better position. However, it really depends on the relative length of your arm’s, body, legs etc, which is why it’s important to try a few different bikes first.

    What chainset?
Normally 113 for triple for a 50mm chainline

It’ll be fine, just carry a spare tube
And remember if you do ever need the tube, you will have to remove loads of thorns from the inside of a tyre covered in goo before fitting the tube.

Only problem with SRAM is the jockey wheels
Shimano also make better front mechs

SRAM with XO gripshift, X7 rear mech on hardtail
    XT on full suss
Tandem with X7 triggers and 9.0 rear mech
All very good and once set up proper don’t need adjusting.

Think this should still be valid, it’s about 2 weeks old
    PR9KYGED6D9A15 £10 off £75

Or does TEN£ work for 10% off over £75 still. It worked last night.

DT Revs are 2mm 1.5mm butted
DT SuperComps are 2mm 1.7/1.8mm butted
Supercomps are about a 1/2 gram heavier a spoke but build a stronger stiffer wheel. not sure about CX X-rays

At 71kg you should be OK with 28 hole, but obviously depends on your riding style. some would argue that 32 hole are stiffer, most wouldn’t notice the difference.
I’m a touch heavier and have a 24 hole crest hoop on the front and a 32 hole crest rear hoop, for everyday riding.

    Cost + shipping then add
    4.7% duty
    Then 20% vat
And possible handling charge maybe £20?

Hope pro 3 xc6’s or xc3’s run tubeless with lighter skewers will save about half that weight maybe more depends on your current spokes. if you sell you current wheels you should be able to do this for about £200
But getting these wheels depend how heavy you are and on your riding style.
Pro 2 Evo SP crests are cheaper and stronger but about 150g? heavier.

I have a front pro 3 xc6 crest 24 hole and a rear pro 2 SP crest 32 hole which seemed like a good compromise as I’m harder on rear wheels, especially on the hardtail.

both sides or just one side?
if one side is ok, put that in first, should help align the second side correctly.

Correct BB? it’s not an italian threaded one is it?

    It is a Shimano BB
Guess it’s best go for 122.5 and hope gears work OK

    HantsNightRider

    Anyone?
If I just get a 122.5 the longest available, will this push the chainline out too far from the front mech and gears to work well?

    Viewranger is great for navigation
Recent changes to myviewranger website also make programming new routes a 5 minute job
    Regular updates bring new features

Turning off wi-fi greatly increases battery life with viewranger and other similar apps

A 2 hour ride will use approx 30% of battery from full charge with screen lit and displaying map the whole time (iPhone 4)

Easy to check with a multimeter, voltage should go up from 12ish to 14-15ish when you start the engine. Suspect it won’t do this indicating it’s the alternator. Also check all connections are tight.

but I am not an expert so don’t listen to me

Yes, did it on an MTB Tandems Fandango cardiff to holyhead over 5 days with the wife
1 set panniers, tried to travel light.
overnight at Brecon, Rhayader, Dolgellau, and Caenaerfon.
    Specialized hemisphere armadillo tyres
few problems overheating hope M4 205,185 disc, had to be very careful descending.
Stayed in cheap B&B’s so not too expensive

    4 all usable

    Dialled PA
    S-works Enduro 04
Fully rigid 90’s Hardrock (childseat + Trailer puller)
    MTB Tandems Fandango

Hardrock is not used much now, will go next year, riding with 1 in the child seat and 2 in the trailer is hard work. Not sure if this will work next year as they will be too big.
Tandem would be used, if only someone else looked after all the kids
    PA is number 1 bike.
