if you want to try an android app, try ViewRanger
you can use it for free with open source maps or pay for OS maps.
£10 will get you a huge area of 1:50,000 OS maps
    1:25,000 is much more expensive.
It will also record your ride as a gpx, which can be uploaded to Strava later if strava crashes or chops in two.
It’s also great for planning routes on a computer, then uploading to phone. It’s a top App.

yes, you need an old style one at petrol stations, not the digitally regulated ones.

If I can palm the 3 kids off on the mother in law it would be great to come along. Stoker’s not been out much though, so you’ll have to take it easy on us. Unfortunately, I can’t make 17/18 August.

As with all IS mount calipers on IS forks, they also needed the thin spacer washers to get perfect alignment

You can just about see the silver spacers in this pic. Also has an adapter to run a 203mm disc

excuse the messy shed, the tandem is at the back under loads of …
It doesn’t get out much due to the kids.

Some 20mm through axle Marzochhi’s from this era had washers/spacers to space them out
I have some DJ’s on my tandem which have these washers/spacers in.
I got mine from Marzochhi/windwave after contacting them, but I am sure your home made one’s will be fine.

    How heavy are you?
Do you want to run tubeless?
Is your riding style hard on rims?

I would consider Superstar stans crest with switch hubs at £200 new
or second hand hope pro 2 with Crest rims

    This

before doing any of that sit down and do the numbers.

How long can you go without earning?
What are you skills and what else could you get?

If after thinking about it you are ready to quit ask for a meeting with your manager, explain the situation commute etc, job not worth it etc.

If you manage to get your work condensed into 2/3 days, try starting your own business in the other days.

    Good luck fella

My wife has been using one for 8 years and would highly recommend it.
Start exercise with a snack or slightly high blood sugar. For short intense exercise, definitely unplug, test half way through if unsure, you can plug it back in for a couple of minutes and take a bolus if necessary.
For cycling, extra long tubes are available, ask the supplier for them. Put cannula in stomach, and run tube through arm hole and put pump in back pocket. You can get neoprene pouches, which will cushion any impact.
Whilst cycling use a temporary basal rate to lower insulin rate.

    Scott,
    I am 5 10/11 and the 17 is perfect with 140 44’s
I’m in Froyle (home of the gravity project) if you want to try it for size
Although I do need to finish putting the new headset in first though, if I can get the old cup out

I normally ride Tuesday nights from slightly more Farnham/Alton direction. But often start at lower Bourne. Could export a few GPX files of some rides that way, drop me an email if you want them or fancy a Tuesday night ride.
Rode around Bourne, Tilford, Frensham last night, it was cold.

Just did a 15 mile trip to pick my 2 reserved neoguards up. After waiting for 10 minutes while the young lad went to look for them…

“Sorry, we phoned you yesterday to tell you we didn’t have them”
“err… no you didn’t, BTW your pants are on fire.”

    🙁

Looking at it another way, it’s difficult to go from a 14 to a 20, without going to a 16, so you may as well go 12, then go 16, then 20

    Hope that helps

I’ve been unlucky and needed a tube twice in the last 18 months, one sidewall tear, one cut in the main tread.
I normally carry 1 spare tube and a pump for a 2 hour night ride.

I have one of the early MTBTandem Fandango’s. I’m located Surry/hants, email me if you want to try it out.

We progressed to this after an old red Dawes Double Edge, which was sold on here many years ago, a few people on here have since owned it 🙂

So will the Mavics still be fine for mostly XC and light trail riding? Im only 11 stone.

The Mavics will be fine, but the Crests would also have been fine while weighing 70g less and IME less prone to denting.

    Agree with njee20

Can’t do it like that on my Sony, you can record and play back via a USB drive, but it needs to format it first.
Sounds like you you need to plug the disk into a computer and set it up as a DLNA server to stream the media.
Some NAS’s can be set up as DLNA players also

I’m not sure, but that doesn’t look like a bicycle tyre.

No, I dont think it’s holding 100psi either

It’s being replaced under warranty, put it in the bin.
