I tried to book 4 bikes onto Glasgow QS to Inverness in April. Called them up, and apparently every single train in April is fully booked up and there are only 2 bike spaces per train on this route even though it is highlighted on their site as a popular cyclist route that must be booked in advance…
Now renting a van in Glasgow and dropping at Inverness to do the Badger Divide.
I’ve only ever had one bike stolen but it was my daily commuter, my trusty workhorse and I was devastated. I managed to get it back 5 years after it was taken. It popped up on Facebook marketplace but had already sold by the time I had been alerted to it. I contacted the seller saying it was my dream bike that I had wanted one since I was a kid, please could they pass on the buyer’s contact details. They gave me the phone number of the chap who bought it, I rang him up and explained everything, said I’d give him back what he paid (£50!?!?!?) and he was more than happy once I’d sent pictures of me riding it many years before, met him in a pub carpark at 23:00 and my trusty Genesis Day One was back home where it belongs.
Hi Mick, maybe not what you want to hear but I have suffered with this for over 5 years now.
Many many ENT and GP appointments, cameras up my nose etc but they never found anything ‘wrong’. Suspected glue ear at one point as my ears never pop, thought they’d go down the grommet route but it never came to anything. I get through a lot of nasal sprays as they provide light relief but it never lasts. Let me know if you find anything that works!
They’re launching in March, won’t be available as just lever for a while yet though, need to prioritise machine time for complete brakes while there’s so many on order. Any Hope dealer can pre-order Tech 4s now.
I ordered a dashcam on Christmas day and receive my shipping email this morning, seems they are back in the office now so any shipments/cancellations are likely to happen today #watchgate
Had Hope 20fives on Pro 4s on my Road Rat which was most definitely a Gravel Rat, cracking bike. Not the most budget set but often come up second hand.
@marksnook I got them last autumn, had a fair bit of use and a few washes and they’re good as new, still beading as well as the first wear. Not crashed in them yet to test the durability but no rips or tears from brambles. I have always been super impressed with Patagonia customer service, they repair or replace gear with very few questions asked. I had a zip go on a 4 year old jacket i had lost the receipt for, they repaired and had it back to me within 3 days.
I have the Patagonia Dirt Roamer pants and couldn’t be more impressed, genuinely waterproof and incredibly well made. Great company to buy from and very good service if anything does ever go wrong with them.
If you are switching from Shimano HG to Sram XD the endcaps are the same, no problem using your current endcap as long as you aren’t also changing hub spacing. They were different drive side endcaps on the Pro 2 EVO but Pro 4 is all the same unless it is Microspline.
Pro 4 rear bearing kit for XD has now been renamed to XD/MS (Microspline) but not all dealers have updated their descriptions yet. It is the XD kit you need if you have a Microspline freehub, part number for the kit is HUB3P4RXD.
Yes we get it from the vet, AFAIK it is prescription only but it certainly does the job. If we ever run out and she goes a few days without she is noticeably stiffer and slows down a bit.
Lister, 8 months late to the party, but I have a spare women’s gilet in medium to sell if still required. It’s the lighter weight Flint one, i bought one and was gifted one shortly after so it has never been worn.
