I can’t be the only one who tracks Kevin’s jackets throughout the episodes, not sure if he really feels the cold, or if he’s always in freezing locations, but that man loves to layer! Decent Patagucci collection.

Level 44 here, my boyfriend is level 42 and we just about managed Falinks together. Beldum was easier, but not possible to solo for either of us.

My friend code is 324761455346 if anyone wants to add :)

If anyone is a 36 or 38 inch waist I highly recommend the Alpinestars Tahoe waterproof trousers, £29.99 on Sports Pursuit at the moment. I do think they are quite small fitting on so maybe suitable for 34 or 36 inch waist usually.

I’m a 30 in waist usually, but had to go for 32 inch- am also female though so hips come into it.

Great trousers, kept me very dry and comfortable this morning in deepest darkest Tameside.

My boyfriends brother has one, fantastic car, looks the absolute business and is stupidly fast-  but Audi aftercare on one purchased with full warranty from the dealer as approved used is shocking.

He gets an error message on the dash and has to top up the oil every 500ish miles, a couple of times on the side of the A1 in the dark-  they have said this is within normal levels. There’s corrosion on the passenger and drivers doors, this is a 2017 model. When in the garage to look at this issue and do a quick check over it has now been found to have been sold with a modified exhaust (by the Audi dealer) so are saying his warranty is no longer valid. It’s been in the garage for half the time he’s owned it I reckon. He had a lovely run to Morzine in it over the summer though, only had to stop twice to fill up the oil……..

Don’t have one myself but there are different specs of freehub which take different endcaps. Pre 2021 (2 bearings) here

Post 2021 (has a line cut round the freehub body, 3 bearings) here

Makes it somewhat tricky to find the correct endcaps for conversions as different lengths are needed for each spec freehub

Some really good deals on Terrex bits on Sports Direct/House of Fraser, have always found it to be great quality kit. A lot of ski and trail running kit but most will be bike suitable too, just picked up a Goretex jacket for under £40

Almost Famous is amazing, either in NQ on Edge Street or Great Northern off Deansgate. Also on Edge street is Yard and Coop, similar big dirty portions but chicken not beef, and Liquor and Burn- again similar big dirty potions but burritos and tacos. All good stuff.

Did Heartbreak last Sunday, it was seriously muddy. There was a decent amount of snow around too ready to melt,  and rain since which will only add to the situation. Front brake totally packed in on the descent and even the grippiest rocks in the world were struggling. Excellent fun as always but was very cold and very wet by the time we rolled into the far too posh cafe at Ballater train station- Just a warning!

Mine turned up on Facebook Marketplace 7 years after it was stolen, still had my brand new XT trail clips fitted and my Garmin mount. A mate alerted me to the ad but it had already sold. I managed to track down the buyer and bought it back for £50, without my pedals as he had sadly already flogged those for £70. Never did get to ride the XT trail clips…

If you’re not super committed to Blackpool, Manchester to Formby is a lovely ride and mostly traffic free via The Floop and then onto NCN62. Done it on gravel bikes a couple of times, few nice pub stops then fish and chips on the beach and the train back.

Definitely don’t send anything this week, i’m in the trade and we certainly aren’t sending anything at the moment.

Very strong rumors that there will be something announced today/tomorrow.

I managed to get my Wattbike Pro in a Mercedes C Class estate, from memory I think I had to remove the seatpost and the base but it went in easy enough.
Very heavy and cumbersome things to move around, make sure you’ve got someone to help load it in and out of the car with you.

The Tame Valley Loop is cracking on a gravel bike, quite Tame (harr harr) on MTB but has a good variety of bits in it, very easy to follow as it is all signposted and gets you right into Stalybridge centre for a pint

    -Small bird with blue beard

    -Chianti
    -Cigar
-I have one each from the crow and the seagull, is there another?
    -Cat by the fire

My Karate Monkey goes in the fat rack with 27.5 x 30 or 29 x 2.4 depending on which fork and wheels are fitted, no issues at all with the narrower tyres. If running 27.5 x 3 it does struggle to go in the ‘standard’ steady racks we have for the other bikes.

Definitely best to walk through NQ rather than down Market Street, loads of choice there.

PLY on Lever Street is a personal favourite, excellent pizza and pretty quick service.

We’ve ended up keeping our train tickets (£12 each, booked well in advance before Scotrail had moved off emergency timetable which didn’t allow bike bookings at all) and booking a medium van with Enterprise which is £200 one way. Two on the train to make use of the tickets and two in the rental van with all the bikes and kit. Both leave Glasgow at 10:10 with a Top Gear Style race to Inverness, losers buy the first pints.
